We love spending time at our house! We enjoy our neighbors who are extremely friendly! The beach is beautiful and my husband spends time fishing while I hunt for shells! -

Great beach! Were from out of town visiting relatives and thank goodness my brother knew of this beach. Further into town it was a madhouse. The beaches were PACKED but this was way less busy and much more relaxing. -

The most gorgeous side of the beach. Best time to go is early morning to catch the sunrise. There are multiple public access points to catch a wonderful view or a perfect picture. -

Pros:1. Houses are new, and nice.2. That end of the island was not crowded.3. Good location, not too far from restaurants and grocery stores.4. The home was relatively clean and well stocked.5. Property management was friendly and tried to be helpful.Cons:1. Very lacking in amenities. They charge $150 to access the one, very small, pool. Which was not communicated ahead of time, so we went to the pool with kids, and couldnt get in. All of the other planned communities weve stayed in had great amenities, so I was a little surprised by this, for the price.2. The only restaurant on site doesnt seem equipped to handle many visitors. They often wont do to-go orders even when not busy (there were two people eating in the entire restaurant). Couldnt make a reservation for more than 4 people easily online, and when I called to try, they said they would text a confirmation, but never did. I gave up, and we just ate elsewhere during our stay.3. The house had several things in need of repair. Maintenance was already aware of one issue, and tried to fix another. Didnt bother reporting the other couple, as we just wanted to enjoy our time at the beach.4. Check in process was unorganized, and lacked clear communication and relevant information.5. Not sure if its just the home we rented, but it had one king bed, two rooms with full size beds, and then a bunk room. I would definitely expect another king, or at least a queen. The website was lacking in information, so it wasnt clear when reserving. -

The beaches grow every year from the tide. Sand is natural, as are dunes. No imported sand, which is not the case for the seawall area, which turns in the tide and makes the water murky. Very natural beach close to East End historic District and Downtown shops and restaurants. -

This place is sort of meant to be for beach house owners rather than the public, which is why its so nicely empty! Its not crowded at all and the water was nice and warm. When the water is calm its actually see through- saw some crabs scuttling about and little silver fish. -

We had brunch at the lovely Porch Cafe. Impeccable service, unbelievably fresh and delicious food, some of the friendliest staff weve ever had the pleasure of dealing with and a beautiful setting! Definitely our NEW destination for dining out on our beautiful island. Nestled in the middle of Beachtown..π΄ -

This is the cutest little area on the east side of galveston. My husband and I went to Porch Cafe and enjoyed mimosas outside looking at the ocean. The staff is super nice and the food is absolutely delicious! -
