Since I had to fly from Korea and stay there with my dogs, I thought it would be better to purchase a house in advance rather than staying in a hotel and looking for a house. So, after looking for a house in an area for 6 months, I contacted a realtor. He showed me some houses that I had looked at and some that fit my situation. The realtor went to the house I was curious about, took videos of the neighborhood and every corner of the house, and told me all the pros and cons. This was valuable information that I could not get anywhere else as it was my first time living in the US.
