With the recent cold weather, we went to turn on our heater and it wasn’t working. I called Thayer Air Conditioning, and their customer service was friendly and quick to schedule. Our technician, George, arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and explained everything clearly. The repair was done efficiently, and our heater is working perfectly now.I highly recommend Thayer Air Conditioning and George for reliable and professional service. Ill definitely be calling them again to come service our AC before we need it this spring!

Thayer AC truly always goes above and beyond. Our AC had been on its last legs for a few years now. Time and time again, they helped us get it repaired and extend the life of the equipment.Unfortunately our AC finally kicked the bucket. The technician Vincent was very polite and knowledgeable. Our A/C went out last night and I called Thayer first thing in the morning. They gave me a window of 2pm-4pm and arrived at 2pm. Called the around 11am. They had someone out by 1:15pm same day. Took hin 5 minutes to find the problem and about 30 to fix it. Reminder people, unfortunately its not cheap to fix these things sometimes. But $500 for a repair is pretty acceptable especially in this heat so get that service done!

I have an issue with two rooms in my home not cooling properly. Ralph the installer tech came by and we were able to resolve one problem by reconnecting a duct tube that had become separated from the plenum feed tube. There is still one room that needs to have the duct tube dot a bedroom that doesn’t supply sufficient cooling air through the duct. Not sure what the blockage is but I have been assured that the folks at Thayer will help resolve the problem. This is a brand new system installed about 3 months ago.

The installation team (Chris #2, Ralph, and Ceasar) were at my house 9am monday morning and everyone involved was knowledgable, professional, and very hard working. They were able and willing to answer all my questions throughout the installation process and worked hard to meet my requests and expectations. Ive used Thayer for a number of years to service my home units. I needed their help to balance the air flow throughout the house. Eric performed various tests in each room and made adjustments in some of the ducts to redirect some of the air to rooms that needed more air flow. Eric is an excellent communicator and has years of experience to solve most problems.The owner of Thayer Air Conditioning, Chris Thayer, has on occasion personally come to my home to assess how to make my system more efficient. Ive always appreciated his fairness and expertise.Since we are entering a change of seasons, I wont be using air conditioning very much to fully test the changes Eric made to the system. Ill know more next month when I change from AC use to heating. However, I am confident that the changes made by Eric will result in a significant improvement to the system.

Thayer AC has been terrific! They have helped me repair my HVAC to get a little bit more life out of it but recently it hit a point of no return and they were able to come and do a full install of a new unit and replace all the ductwork in two days. The unit was up in the attic, along with all the ductwork, and it was hard work for the installers. Workers did really well and respecting my property. They are offering some great financing to keep this affordable and some really great maintenance plans. 😎👍🏼

I can’t express how happy I am that I called Thayer. I had a great deal of anxiety over picking the right company as I’ve had quite a few bad experiences with AC techs in the past. They came highly recommended on my Nextdoor app so I gave them a call. They were quick to come out, diagnose my problem and explain everything to where even I could understand. We’ve been entertaining the thought of upgrading so rather than repair, we decided to take the leap and upgrade. Thayer financing was easy and I have less than stellar credit. Two business days later I had my new system installed. Thayer went out of their way to make sure there was no delay in my install date which included having to pick parts up in two different cities. The installers were awesome. They got it done in one day. Everything is nice and neat and looks highly professional. Issac and Trey were professional and awesome with the install and addressed all of my concerns. Chris helped me through the whole process with picking the right unit for my needs and answered my million questions without getting frustrated. And a shout out to Lira for helping with my paperwork and her professional courteous attitude.

We had Thayer Air Conditioning give us a second opinion on whether we needed a new installation, and were certainly happy that we did. Not only was our current unit covered in mildew, but the duct work was crumpled and the platform we had paid to have installed a few years back was shabbily done.Chris Thayer came and gave us the estimate we needed for an entire overhaul of our system, and we are happy to report that we made a great decision by hiring his team to complete this project. Cesar, Robert, and Danney were very professional, courteous, kind, and explained everything from day one including all of the snags and issues they ran into, but were able to fix properly. They answered numerous questions, cleaned up after themselves, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them since they were working at our house for numerous days (it was A LOT of work that we needed done).We absolutely love our new Amana S Series, and how efficient and quiet it is along with how much of a difference it has made already. Once the electrician comes this week well have the dehumidifier and UV filters up and running as well which will be the cherry on top. Since we work from home, having a great AC unit is key along with a trustworthy company providing the services needed.We are so grateful to the team at Thayer Air, and cannot recommend them enough!!

I have to say what my wife and I experienced yesterday was the reason we chose Thayer Air Conditioning. With Thayer you are able to talk to the owner. We had an issue with our unit and Chris called me and told me exactly what he was going to do to remedy the situation. Our initial technician was Eric Royster. He explained exactly what the problem was. Eric is a 5 star employee. The next day Vincent Flores and Adolfo Delarosa, also 5 star employees showed up and promptly took care of everything. I cant say enough good things about their customer service.

Our downstairs unit stopped blowing cold air over night and the high was expected to be 100° today. I called a couple other companies and they weren’t able to get me on the schedule for 2 days or next week! Thayer was able to come out same day. The repairman was only here for 20 minutes or so and explained what needed repaired and explained what I was paying for. I’m pleased it was fixed quickly and am happy they offer a twice a year service to make sure my unit stays in good working condition. Good peace of mind with having 3 small children.

We have been without AC for almost a month now melting in the hot TX heat! We moved into our home a little over a year ago, and have a home warranty which is supposed to cover the AC as well. The home warranty people have been giving us the runaround on the replacement of the unit claiming lack of maintenance. We called Thayer AC to come out for a second opinion. Within a couple of hours they sent their technician, Fletcher Moore. Fletcher was absolutely amazing! He was very patient with me, and explained everything he was seeing very thoroughly. I wanted to take a moment to let everybody know what amazing and courteous service I received after hours from our technician James at Thayer AC. My 89 year old father had arrive at our home in NB about and hour before our AC unit went out. This was around 4:00 pm on Friday July 3rd. Not only was I worried about my elderly father but my wife is dealing with some major hot flashes, if you know what I mean ladies. So, needless to say I was feeling a bit stressed. I contacted Thayer AC, who is literally less than 2 miles from our home, at 4:30 pm and ask if they could possibly have someone out. The lady who I spoke with said they did have a tech available and that she would send him our way. After a little misunderstanding and no word from the technician for over two hours, I called back checking to see if something went wrong. I found out that the James, our tech, was help up on another job in SA. He did arrive around 8:30 but was absolutely the most humble and apologetic young man I have ever encountered in the service industry. Not only was he able to resolve the situation within a short period of time, but because he understood the situation I was in with my father, he discounted the cost of my service call because of the delay. I‘m in the risk management business and work directly with builders and contractors nationwide and it gives me great pride when I witness a company that is committed to doing things right. Customer service, in so many companies, has taken a back seat to profitability. I would’ve been more than happy with the level of service at that point, but they went above and beyond. I received a call the next morning with a price quote to include military discount. At 2:00 I received a call from Chris, the service technician, telling me he was on his way and would arrive in less than 10 minutes. Chris arrived and in a short time he discovered a problem with the defrosting mechanism. Chris was able to fix the problem and our heat was restored. The repair price was fair. The experience of getting a new hvac system installed for my mother went so well I would highly recommend Thayer AC to anyone. Chris Thayer was very professional when he came out to do the assessment and explained everything thoroughly and in laymans terms that we could understand. He came back with a reasonable quote within a couple of days and even connected us with a finance company with reasonable rates. The two technicians came out the following Monday and got right to work to replace the inside and outside systems. I was working from home in the same area where they were replacing the inside unit and not once was I bothered with the noise on any of my business calls. They were cordial, professional, and within a few hours everything was working perfectly and there was no sign (other than new units) that they had even been there. We were nervous about such a big investment and so many AC companies to choose from, but doing research on reviews helped immensely. We made the right choice and I wanted to contribute as well. I am praising God for giving me the decrement to call Thayer for a 3rd opinion. I had two other air-conditioning companies come out who said i am fully out of freon and wanted to charge me $1500/ or I could get a new air-conditioner for $5400. and it will mean they rip up the side of my house, the second company just said I need a new unit and it was going to be $4900. Chris with Thayer came out and within minutes let me know the compressor switch was turned off, which is what controls the cold air, as soon as he turned it back on, I had cold air. Chris was very professional and honest and I so appreciated that! Shame on those other two, who are also in the top rating listing, so beware. I have 2 houses and a business and Thayer will be getting my business every time! Thank you Thayer especially in a time of Covid where I as a wedding venue have to be very careful right now.

Chris, the recent new guy added to the Thayer group came to my house today as I could not get my heat at come on. Chris did a remarkable job of trouble shooting the problem; ended up taking the unit almost totally apart, only to find a piece of wood & some initial packing material inside the furnace unit. This tells me he was trained well, knew his “stuff”; & was totally dedicated to making the Customer happy, & be a good employee to Thayer a/c.Kudos to Chris N!

Another company came out & did minimal work on our HVAC system on a Saturday, said they needed to order a fan motor but couldn’t order until Monday morning. I contacted them Monday morning and they were waiting for information from Trane. Same story on Tuesday & Wednesday.All this during the Heat-Maggedon!Finally gave up & called Thayer Air. They arrived within 1 hour, diagnosed the problem (not fan motor), recharged system (low coolant), inspected system. With the Texas heat about to come back, my AC system broke down. As a person whom lives with a disability, which I can not properly regulate my body temperature; having AC is critical for me. I’d made a home warranty claim (Fidelity National Home Warranty), I’d informed them of my medical condition, and was told; “they would expedite the process and inform their AC company (Bang Air) to expidite the installation.”Apparently I needed an entire new system.After waiting two weeks, with no answer from the insurance company or AC company; they hired. I called the AC company (Bang Air) only to be told; “they have the system and will schedule me when they have time” I was also informed the insurance company will only cover a small portion of the “repairs,” and the rest of the system cost would be my responsibility; if I wanted the system completely changed out and code upgrade made.I’d had enough. I fired Bang Air and the home warranty company. I canceled my claim.I called CT mechanical; explained my critical situation. I was shocked. Their customer service representative was very responsive and professional. The customer service representative, Ariel M, had taken my information over the phone and had dispatched her technicians that same day to come to my house and do an entire system check.Conclusion; my system was 14 years old, I had numerous leaks, compressor failure and code upgrades had to be made.I discussed options with her and agreed to have the system replaced.She called me back to inform me she could have her technicians install the system the next day.CT mechanical had the entire system installed and running the following day. The company’s technicians; Ernesto J and Bobby H, were both very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very clean. They did the install, and completed all code upgrades, and had the AC running that day; incredible!In the end, I’d received a completely new energy efficient entire system with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The process, from the first call to install, only took CT Mechanical two days, and the price was very reasonable too.I can not express the appreciation I have for the entire company. CT Mechanical’s entire crew went above and beyond to make sure I had air conditioning.
