Another successful maintenance visit. I noticed the previous week the temperature in the house was off by a few degrees compared to normal. The team quickly identified the issue and resolved it. When the maintenance was completed, they reviewed the findings and showed me pictures of what might be concerns in the not too distant future and assured me it’s not time to replace yet as the system is still working well. This is the type of service I’ve come to know and expect from Texas A/C & Heating.

Vanessa called to let me know the technicians were arriving in 20 minutes. They were courteous and got right to work analyzing my heat pump problem.In about 20 minutes they rang my doorbell to let me know that they had fixed my problem. Some animal had eaten through some wiring and also two blades on the outdoor unit fan were bent. Both of those problems had been fixed. There was no additional charge over the basic visit fee.I highly recommend this company.

I had a great experience with them. Their owner took extra time out of his day to walk me through how the different stages work, what units are still considered a good unit even if they are single stage, etc. Theres alot more that goes into a decision, especially with heat pumps, than one might think so you need to do some research and have some questions prepared before getting a new unit or changing one out. Dont make the mistake of assuming an AC or Heat Tech knows what you want. You have to do some research and be specific.

Texas AC was awesome! After waiting for a different company for 6 hours that just never bothered to show up or call, we reached out to Texas AC. They gave us a much more precise timeline of when they would stop by, and showed up within just a few hours of initial contact.They quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it for a very reasonable fee. Will definitely call them in the future.

Marc and his team (Tony & Vanessa) were simply awesome to work with. The installed two Trane systems to replace two of our 19-year old central A/C units that were failing. We couldnt be happier with the work done by Texas A/C and Heating, and the new units!After a poor experience with another vendor who was sent out by our home warranty company, we sought out a more reputable company to do the work we needed. We are so glad we found Marc and his team!Our home was steadily getting hotter after the original company left, and Marc came to our home for a consultation and quickly saw the original company didnt hook things back up correctly. He then had things running correctly and starting to cool the house back down in about 2 minutes. He then very thoroughly and professionally explained our options and answered all of our questions.Our original units were leaking freon, and he topped off the freon so that they would keep running until the new A/Cs were available and could be installed. I tend to leave folks who are doing maintenance around the house alone while they do their work. But, impressively, Marc said he preferred for me to stay outside and watch what he was doing, so we could both get to know each other better. He connected various sensors to the units and pulled out a tablet that showed a variety of readings. He explained what they all meant and we watched together as the numbers improved while he was putting in the freon. He then also cleaned the coils (which the original company had quite obviously not done).A week or so later, we were scheduled to have the replacement units put in. Marc sent out Vanessa and Tony to do the work over a couple days (one new unit each day). They were very professional, knowledgable, and respectful. They did great work installing the systems!Marc then came out to inspect the work, and answered a few more questions we had.As part of the installation, a new smart thermostat from Trane was installed for each unit. Marc is able to monitor our systems and even make changes remotely. The next day he followed up and suggested a change in the settings to help making the cooling a little more even between upstairs and downstairs. I thought that was quite impressive.In summary, working with Marc and team was a great experience. And, if we ever need to get our third unit replaced, hell be our first call!

Over the last few years my family changed through three homes as owners and have had worked with TEXAS A/C to perform check-ups and repairs.Marc and members of his growing staff have been pleasant, timely, and professional.We have had the need for coolant recharges, large capacitors to alleviate power surges, and service calls to assess when something became problematic.Recently life dealt our family a number of surprise of the month breakdowns and costs as the house were now in seems to be just old enough that everything is aging out at the same time. We did quite literally have a failure or two every single month from 2023-SEP to 2024-MAR, a job loss and eventual new position, and ultimately several tens of thousands in expense and loss.When our A/C exchanger decided to pile on by dying, I was in a position where I had neither the cash nor credit to get a chocolate bar much less the expense of a new A/C exchanger. Given that A/C failure in Texas is an nearly existential issue, we were concerned.I contacted Marc and talked over some options and asked if he could lend some creative thought to the problem.Marc and the Texas A/C team were able to work successfully with their vendor Trane to find a solution we could afford and then were able to schedule time to make the repair right away.Personally, and as a family, we are pleased and thankful to have had Texas A/C in our corner.

We have been using Marcs services for over 15 years and always been very happy with his work. Over the years he has done regular maintenance as well as repairs when issues arose on our HVAC system. He is very responsive when there is an emergency (the AC is down and there are 100+ degrees out!). A couple of years ago we decided to change the system because it had become old and he took care of the new installation as well. We have given his name to friends and family and everybody has been happy with his work as well.

During that time he kept our original system running for reasonable costs, and until very recently recommended that we should NOT replace our unit.When it was obvious we needed to replace our system, he was the first call I made and the bid I accepted. Our fifteen year old AC unit needed replacing. Our next door neighbor had just replaced his unit and recommended that we call Marc, so we added Texas AC & Heating to our list. We really liked working directly with the company owner who listened to our needs, asked questions and then sent options for consideration. Marks confidence in the product, along with his matter-of-fact explanation of its different functions, by far exceeded any of the presentations from the other bidders. After he came to check to be sure an upgrade would fit and patiently answered even more questions, we decided to purchase the larger 2 stage unit. As luck would have it, the shipper couldnt get the furnace here for a few days for the entire system to be replaced in one trip. Marc did get the old unit cooling as best it could and checked on us to be sure we werent totally without air in the mid-July heat, which we so appreciated.When Tony, Vanessa and Edgar arrived with the units, we felt completely at ease with their professionalism, knowledge, and pleasant attitudes, in spite of the outside temperature that day reaching 107.4 on our thermometer. In fact, Vanessa and Marc went out of their way to make sure the new thermostat was programmed into our phones after realizing neither of us are in the digital world, to say the least!The air conditioner is performing beautifully and our electricity bill has gone down dramatically. Weve already recommended Texas AC & Heating for others to call and will keep on with the recommendations. This company is run the way businesses used to be, and certainly should be, run. We feel that this Trane HVAC system will probably outlast us; but if not, we know who to call!

They installed two new Trane units for our Austin home and worked part of the weekend to get it done before the first week of +100 degree temps.Our downstairs unit was struggling to keep our master cool and Marc quickly diagnose the problem and we discussed the options. My wife and I were tired of having one or more of the units serviced every summer by shoddy companies working for our home warranty. Marc was recommend to us by a friend in 2009 after we’d had two other local companies suggest the need to replace our a/c unit. Given Marc’s technical knowledge, resulting in several service awards, he was able to repair our unit and keep it running for years to come. Upon purchasing a second home, our general contractor recommend using a larger a/c company and we were very displeased with the outcome and professionalism. Following their initial work, we called Marc to service our a/c system and we’ve been using him ever since. I wouldnt call anyone else!

I reviewed 3 bids for a complete AC and furnance system replacement because my system was 20+ years old. Texas AC stood out for performing a complete system survey and taking time to explain all the new technology options. Marc, the owner, also recommended a system that fit our needs and was reasonably priced. He is Trane certified and I have very good experience using their systems her in central Texas.His installation crew were just as professional and diligent. They showed up on time and completed the whole job of removing my old system and installing the new system without a hitch. Marc followed up by checking their work same day.Its still cool outside so we wont get to run the AC at full system demand until spring but we are very pleased with our experience with Texas AC.

I have used Mark Cook and Texas AC & Heat for years. He is honest. As a single woman this makes a world of difference. I have been ripped off and lied to many times by AC repair companies and I know with Mark I am well taken care of. He has a great work ethic and his prices are competitive. He installed a new AC and heating unit for me about 2 years ago, after keeping my old unit alive and working for many years. He puts a safety overflow valve on all new units he installs. A few days ago my line developed a clog and the safety shut down my AC saving me a possible flooded home. I called Mark and he came the same day and unclogged the drain line for me. He is professional and will explain things to you. I highly recommend Mark and Texas AC & Heat.

He came out the next day and discovered that the builder had not installed a large enough unit for our home size. Marc (owner) with Texas Heating and A/C installed a new Trane Heat pump system and Thermostat at my home. Delivery was earlier than expected. He was competitive in pricing but way above the rest in honesty, integrity and his willingness to share the strengths and short comings of each system I was considering. I wanted a very reliable system that was very energy efficient and built to last over the long term and Trane along with their 5 year service warrant and 12 year compressor warranty convinced my that the installation would be done right since they do not want to keep coming back to fix their install mistakes. The husband and wife install crew were considerate that this was my home and answered all of my questions along the way. I am a seasoned engineer and I took an interest in the quality of the installation. I cant say enough about the installation team and Marc came out to do a final check to ensure they have delivered upon my and his expectations. I cant say enough positive about this company and Trane. If you dont want to be left without AC in the middle of the summer in the future, Texas Heating and A/C are the right company to work with. Update 2-14-2024: We asked Texas A/C to come out, the heating wasnt working properly at all. They diagnosed and found both zone dampers were bad and the damper controller board and replaced them all. Now the heating works great! It wasnt cheap, hopefully it will hold up well, one of the dampers had been replaced in the past 2 years by Stans A/C, maybe it was an electrical surge that knocked them all out.Josh came out and inspected our A/C and Heating. We used Texas A/C and Heating who replaced our Carrier systems with Lennox. Theyve been performing great!

Called Texas AC and heating because Marc had fixed my AC before without trying to upsell me on a bunch of stuff or a new unit. Honest, fair prices (had already spoken to my brother in law who owns an AC co in another city) and reliable. Will recommend him to anyone needing AC service.

After estimates from several hvac companies I went with Texas A/C and Heating. The owner Marc answered my questions promptly. He did not try to up sell me and outfitted my home with the appropriately sized system. He gave me an fair estimate for the install. Texas A/C and Heating was the least expensive of all the companies for the same product. The other companies seemed to concentrate on silly commercials and advertising in which the customer winds up paying for. Tony and Vanessa installed the hvac two days after I ordered it and they did a clean and professional job. The outside compressor was mounted and perfectly leveled onto its platform. This Trane purrs like a kitten and blows cold! I highly recommend using this company, you will not be disappointed.

They were incredibly fast to set up the appointment, arrived on time, did a thorough inspection, confirmed the problem to be fixed, and gathered complete data to confirm that there was only one problem to fix. They did a fantastic job of communicated all of their findings in a clear and understandable manner. My issue ended up being a capacitor, which they had a new replacement part in their vehicle ready to install.Having your A/C go out on a late afternoon in August stinks. We have used these guys for about 10 years now. They installed our new system a few years back and did a great job. Last night, our AC went out and I texted them early this morning (a Sunday morning) and they were able to squeeze us in on the same day and fixed it quickly. It was still under warranty, so we only had to pay for labor. Great service and very professional. I dont know how their prices compare to others in general, but it has always seemed fair and the price they charged us for the new unit was definitely competitive.

I called Marc as a second opinion for a heater issue I was having.The last company that came said my heater was not fixable and a new unit would cost between $5 - $6k.Marc was a referral from a friend and I thought at the last minute I would ask him to take a look at my heater.Marc was able to come within 12 hours of me contacting him and an hour later my heater was fixed. My heater was not irreparable it simply had about 50 deceased wasps stuck in the tube which was not allowing the heater unit to switch on. Marc cleaned it up, filled in some gaps that needed to be insulated, and did a carbon monoxide test.Marc charged me for the service call only. I cannot believe my good fortune in calling MARC. Please spread the word as he is an example of a business run wit integrity. I am making sure all my friends know about MARC and his company!

They were thoughtful in little ways that stood out above other a/c techs or plumbers weve had out in the past.The long details:Marc came out to review our existing systems, he followed up with a detailed estimate as well as a menu of upgrades. He was patient as we spent days deciding on options and peppering him with questions.Things that stood out when we asked him to come out for a repair estimate:1. He was very considerate about cleanliness - he walked around the attic but when he came down, he took his shoes off to keep our floor clean.2. Unlike other installers he did not meander all around our house insisting at looking at portions that were not broken. (thermostats in bedrooms)Things that stood out when they performed the install.1. Tony and Vanessa called each day before they arrived to give us an ETA - and it was accurate.2. They spent two days in our home in the attic and garage. They placed down tarps where insulation and other dust falls down from the attic - Ive never seen any plumber or AC tech do that before.3. They offered to vacuum when they were done.4. They installed 11 items in our house and tied everything together in the attic. Tony did a fantastic job sealing everything professionally.5. Unlike the original set up, they installed one furnace in such a way that we can now maintain it without taking apart and removing the entire furnace. I mentioned my frustration of the prior setup to Tony the day of the install, he took my concerns and adjusted on the fly.6. Vanessa explained maintenance steps providing digital images for us, as well as writing which way filters go, etc in the attic for long term maintenance.These folks simply blew us away with little details we werent expecting. When our old heat pump compressor failed we decided to replace the whole system as it was very old. After several estimates we chose Texas A/C & Heat for a few reasons. First, everyone who gave us a quote would do the job, Marc seemed to actually want to do it. Second he spent a lot of time answering questions about the options available as todays options dont boil down to just brand. Third, price. Price is of course a concern. All the available online resources rate Trane as a premium product. The installed price for out top shelf system was in line with, or better than, second tier brands. There is not a local Trane dealer in my city and I really appreciate Marc and his crew traveling to install our new system.

Have used these guys for a while now. Among everything else they are very reasonable on emergency calls, of which Ive had a few.
