This is the first time Ive ever left a review of any kind. PRK Services is by far the best company I have ever used for AC maintenance\repair. The owner, Jason, is a man of his word and cares more about the long term relationship than he does an individual sale. Weve experienced three of their technicians who were all brilliant and also of high integrity. Their customer support and scheduling department makes you feel like family and after having 3 superb interactions in a row with PRK, I felt it was time to write my first review. They are the best! TL;DR: Nice, informative, non-pushy professionals helped us decide on a new heat pump system that is saving us 60-35% on electricity while keeping humidity between 40-50% year round. Highly recommend Jason and PRK Services.Last fall, we used PRK Services to replace our busted HVAC unit and upgrade our zone damper control system. We only actually needed the coils replaced in the air handler and this is all that they originally recommended. When I asked for a quote on a full replacement and for pros and cons of both, Jason (the owner) was very straight forward with me about in which situation we should go for fixing vs replacing and leaving us an opportunity to make the final decision. Again, this was all things that I requested and nothing that he was pushing for. After thinking over our situation and needs (basically a longer term, efficient yet affordable solution) we decided to replace the unit while keeping the ducts with a 5-ton American Standard 16 Seer with variable speed air handler. In addition, we opted for a Nexia zone control and damper system. We chose these upgrades bc the old system had failed prematurely (after only 6-7 years) and was never set up to work optimally with zoned ducting. Jason also worked with his guys to do some re-routing of our existing ductwork, instead of pushing for new ductwork, that resulted in much better airflow. These upgrades and improvements with the variable speed should result in a much longer lived system. As far as performance, it has been amazing. We’ve averages 60-35% monthly electricity savings over our previous unit while keeping humidity between 40-50%! For our extra costs, we are looking at breaking even in 8yrs on a system that should easily last 15yrs or more now that it’s set up to run more efficiently. Highly recommend Jason’s company PRK Services.

They were open to additional suggestions I made and followed up with my caulking request. I have been very pleased with the results. I would recommend PRK Services to anyone interested in a mini split system. Their work plus the warranty makes this an excellent value.

PRK was great from beginning to end!!! Wed been without air for a couple of days when we called them. They discussed the issues with us and then Angela explained the different options that we had so that we could weigh out which would work best for us. Angela was great! We ended up getting a new unit because they were able to give us an excellent price on the whole thing!The guys that came out to install the unit, Luis and Alfonso, were very knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly. Everyone that we dealt with throughout this process was wonderful!! So a great big thank you to Angela, Eric, Alfonso and Luis for taking care of us!! We will definitely be recommending you guys to everyone that we know!!!!

RPK was able to quickly get someone out to service my heater on short notice before the Temperature was expected to plummet. When Sam arrived to look at the system everything seemed to be in working order so he did what he could and gave it a thorough once over. My devious system had decided to stop functioning properly the next day and RPK was able to get another tech back out. This time the system didnt try to hide its problem and one quick gas limiter sensor replacement had the system back up and running properly again. Both technicians were professional and RPK was able to provide excellent service!.

He moved swiftly but also managed to still maintain a high level attention to detail. I have a walk in freezer where I work that someone worked on before and whoever it was really messed up the wireing and it was freezing up. PRK sent an awesome technician out who straightened out the mess the last guy made and got it working again. He had to come back out a couple weeks later as it started freezing up again. they stand behind their work and even though the problem was no fault of the technicians they warrantied the repair and it didnt cost us extra . Professional service and awesome results. Thank you for an excellent experience and I will highly recommend you to everyone i know.

Unparalleled customer service and response time. Used Keith and PRK to replace our furnace last winter and they are some of the friendliest guys in the business - along with very fair pricing, professionalism and working with our budget. Called for a checkup on our AC unit when the temp went up last week and the response time was terrific, may have saved us from an expensive repair by giving good advice over the phone on what to do before the service tech showed up. I will never go anywhere else.

I had called late at night the prior evening because my air died!They said they would be over second thing in the morning right after their first appointment they had scheduled and they were here right on time!Oz the young man who is totally professional and was able to explain everything to me as I peppered him with questions! I must say I am pretty impressed with the folks over here. My AC went down this Spring. Luckily we hadnt hit me a grigiously hot part yet just slightly horrible hot part of Texas. Lol. So I call them up speak with Angela Who is super professional and very sweet and understanding. I wasnt able to meet them the same day but they were out the next morning.The gentleman they sent out was Ian who I later found out runs the shop he had been doing extra duty during this whole Corona crisis. In any case he lays out very cut-and-dry what needs to be done and gives me a couple of options. Once we had our decision made he got the parts ordered. As soon as the parts were in he sent two guys out and they were done that afternoon.Preston and Ethan is who they send out and I must say Ethan probably is in training just based on the way that Preston took the lead. But let me tell you these guys work. I didnt see them stop for minute they just came and did what needed to be done. They wore a mask when they were in my house which we appreciated and cleaned up after themselves. The gentlemen were professional, polite and respectful to my wife and kids not just me. And just because im one of those annoying customers that likes to understanding an d learning new things, Preston was kind enough to answer my questions about my air conditioner sorry heat pump how and why the parts get installed the way they do.In short weather talking to Angela, working with Ian, or working with Preston and Ethan every person here has been very professional and I would highly recommend it PRK services for anything have anything having to do with you HVAC. They were courteous and friendly and maintained their distance (COVID-19). They came with PPE as well to make sure everyone stayed safe. Pricing is great. I cant recommend them enough. PRK Rocks, Heres Why!!!!I own Shackelford Heating & Air LLC and I am also a full time engineering student. When school started back up I had a customer of mine need some warranty work done on a system I installed 3 months previously. PRK took care of the issue professionally and in a timely manner. The customer was very high end and they commented on how honest and helpful the technician sent out was. Its not often that a competitor feels like his competition can perform the job as adequately, but in this situation I would highly recommend PRK to anyone. I would even let PRK work on my mothers house and I cant say that for any other company I know of or worked for at one time. Keith Shugart, the owner of PRK, is very knowledgeable and understands the needs of his customers. He also spends time insuring that his technicians are knowledgeable and maintain a high degree of customer service. Customer service is one thing that is lost these days so to find a company that has both technical knowledge and caring technicians is a rare thing in this industry to find. We woke up to no ac the day before 4th of July! The idea of getting anyone out that day or anytime soon was becoming unrealistic. Its already impossible getting someone to come out here in Krum to service anything. I left a message and continued calling with reoccurring disappointment. And Im glad others turned me down because the service i received was beyond what i can rate here. Angela returned my call promptly and got Andra to come out by 5p.m. same day. I feel bad having anyone come late but he was unphased and happy to help. Getting to the root of the issue quickly by doing thorough testing on multiples potential issues, I was reassured that he didnt just guess or jump to an assumption like Ive had from other companies before. The worst news was needing a new system entirely! But again, he didnt just say, you need a new system and walk off; he explained thoroughly WHY this was necessary even after calling multiple people to see if there was any other options. He was upfront, clear and honest. He stayed in close communication with Angela to have her discuss further options. She was very personable and empathetic to my needs having small children just over 1yrs old. She worked very hard to match a solution to my needs. Once they were reopened after the holiday they came out and got right to work with a new unit. Andra, Lerman and Ben were extremely professional working independently on different tasks for efficiency. These guys were great to have over helping me and my family. I really felt like they took care of me and I never had a feeling that they were rushing or exhausted. They were hard working guys with a lot of knowledge. Working with Angela, Eric, Andra, Lerman and Ben I really felt like I had the help and support from this entire company; and I did. Will always only recommend this company to anyone. Lermon is awesome! Found out why our kids upstairs bedrooms had no heat...our builder had shoddy ductwork that was pinched up and down around corners (should have trimmed) resulting in no airflow. Very affordable pricing and they are coming to fix the ductwork tomorrow, 3 days before Xmas. Very impressed and would highly recommend them!
