    A/C unit went out this past weekend, called Moses A/C to set up a time for the unit to be replaced. He and his crew was on time and very professional and efficient. Job was completed in about 2 1/2 hrs. and they cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Moses to anyone thats in need of A/C installations or repairs.

    Mr. Fitzroy Moses of Moses A/C himself came into our home at a time when we could no longer ignore, nor endure, the increasing financial dent made by keeping an antiquated piece of machinery alive in our attic. Our 3.5 ton Honeywell HVAC system was vintage 1976 technology containing a 30 amp motor to power the fan, modern systems today gets the same job done using a more economical 6-8 amp unit.During the coldest months in Houston, between November to March, we typically get our lowest power bill ranging from $92 to $200 towards spring. As the thermometer reads higher over time and with the heat, our electricity bill surges up like in September 2020, $421.43; August 2021, $393.01; and July 2022 with a whopping $431.36 bill! Last year, with inflation and price adjustments, we finally broke $450 with a September 2023 bill of $457.80, our highest bill ever!!!Weve had many HVAC companies give us written estimates, from replacing everything (furnace, A/C unit and compressor) costing $21,670 for a 3.5 ton Trane system to a mere $7,500 for a new Lennox A/C unit only. So you can understand our utter disbelief when Mr. Moses said that all he needed was a $3,800 deposit to order the equipment and put us into their work schedule... the very next day!With skepticism written all over my face, I asked if $3,800 was 25% of the total cost?; how much was the total cost?; are you replacing just the unit in the attic? how long did he think the job would take? With calm confidence, Mr. Moses addressed ALL of my concerns and patiently answered every single point of inquiry. Later that evening, using a credit card, and trusting a man we just met and barely know, we went ahead and paid Moses A/C online the $3,800.As it turned out, $3,800 was 50% of the total cost to replace EVERYTHING in our homes HVAC system, not only did the install job finish before 5PM the next day, the Moses A/C crew removed the old equipment, set up a new concrete base in the attic, replaced the old drip pan with a new one twice bigger and threw in a new plenum. Whats a plenum? Because I certainly had no clue, its the part of the A/C unit where all the ducting connects to. Not only was our old plenum dirty and inadequate, it should not be re-used just to save money. Mr. Moses threw in a new plenum for FREE!After all was said and done, we gladly report that we are very happy with how everything turned out. Best of all, for $7,600 (plus TX sales tax), we are proud new owners of a brand new TRANE 3.5 ton HVAC system. We very highly recommend Moses A/C, Mr. Moses, we are your customers for LIFE!P.
