Initially contacted for a “check up” since I noticed a possible leak. Unit is in a little closet in hallway and I was worried about water damage. A representative showed up looked at everything, noticed the coil was shot and told me the unit was “on it’s way out”! Quoted me a price and let me know that they did have the equipment on hand and could do the install the next day. And that was a Sunday!! 2 men showed up the next day and got to work. Lots of challenges since new equipment was a bit larger than the old equipment and getting it in that little closet required some carpenter skills! But they never gave up and got everything operational! Showed me how to operate the thermostat and how to maintain monthly. Very pleased with their professionalism and would recommend highly!! Yamel and his team helped me address another issue with my property. This timeMy AC was making loud noises. His team came and diagnosed that it has passed its useful time and repair costs would far outweigh getting in new replacement.So, it did make sense to me and they replaced the unit and did a thorough job, cleaning the site, post work and all the while maintaining their professional &patient & polite demeanor. The A/C repairman was very informative and listened to my concerns. Since our unit was fairly new, and under warranty, he sent me a detailed report to take back to the original installer. We think our unit is a lemon as we have had to have 3 service calls to the original installer since it was installed 2 years ago. It was good to get a trustworthy second opinion on what is going on with this unit.

Yamel and his crew did a great job with my HVAC replacement. I have an older home and it can be challenging when you need to have equipment replaced. Setpoint helped me decide on the right equipment for my needs and with a little creativity, they were able to replace one of the vents with a larger one, in an area that seemed impossible to get to. Definitely helps make that room more comfortable. Highly recommend this team.

We had a great experiment with Setpoint. We had a new AC system installed in July because our old unit was so loud we could hear it in the house. Immediately we felt a difference in how cool our home was, and the new unit has been quiet. The pricing was competitive (I got 3 bids on the same system). The owner came out to see our house himself for the estimate. The install crew was very courteous and polite. It was the hottest day of the year when they were doing our install and the crew was going to eat lunch outside after having been in the extreme heat of our attic all morning. I don’t know how anyone could eat in heat like that so I offered for them to eat at our breakfast table. They were thankful, and courteous and took all their trash with them. When I had questions about the install the owner was very responsive via text. From start to finish I was very impressed with Setpoint.

I shopped around and received opinions/quotes from 5 different contractors. All of them agreed that I needed to replace the system. I received a call from Yamel and he provided me with a quote over the phone. This was definitely nice for me as I just told him what sizes/ton I needed and he provided me with options and prices. His prices were significantly less than the other quotes and I decided to go with him. I was very impressed that they were able to get the job done the next day, especially as it was in the middle of summer. The job did take all day (roughly 9 hours), which was longer than anticipated. They seemed to have to wait around for someone/something for a couple of hours. Normally this was have been more frustrating, however, with covid and the time of year, it was understandable. However, there was a slight accident. While finishing up the indoor handler, one of the techs accidentally put a hole in my wall. While unforeseen and frustrating, I understand that these things happen. Yamel called me to apologize and informed me that he would have a drywall contractor come out the next day to repair it. The drywall contractor arrived and repaired the hole with no issues. Overall, the installation was completed and everything continues to work great. With Covid and the peek time of summer, Setpoint was able to get the job done in short notice and at a good price. I definitely recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.

I called them on a Friday about 5:00 pm, They we’re here by7:00. System was struggling really hard, so we had them put Freon in it thinking if we wanted a new system it would take a little bit of time. I told them I wanted to upgrade my system from 3 1/2 ton to 5 ton, and they gave me a better price then anyone i checked with could. They had my new system here that Monday and had it in within hours. It works great and I would defiantly recommend to anyone again. Great people, great service!!!!

I had SetPoint install a new system a couple years ago and a few things have gone wrong that were not related to their install and service. Every technician that comes out is nice and professional I would honestly leave a key to the house if I wasn’t able to be here. This Saturday they came out and did a service call and didn’t even charge me. The guy diagnosed the problem quickly and then after fixing it asked if it was ok for him to run some additional tests. He stuck around probably another 30 min to an hour checking my system and came down and told me “the pressure is perfect, he checked XYZ etc”. you don’t get that anywhere. Today at work I mentioned the issue we had been having for a couple weeks and I heard all these crazy stories of their recent experiences. “Units fail in 5 years and how other companies install small coils with larger compressors and they freeze and fail constantly.( or maybe I got that backwards) Someone mentioned another company stepped on the copper line in the attic and broke the copper line then charged the homeowner to rerun the copper line and all refrigerant! “. I mentioned Setpoint with no reservations about my recommendation. Top notch. After hearing the stories from coworkers, I made a great choice.

Once I contacted Setpoint, Paul came out that same evening, and by the next day his guys were there replacing parts of the AC system. It worked flawlessly after repair, and now I have a dedicated HVAC team that I can call anytime. Highly recommend Setpoint and their entire team.

Was looking for two mini-split systems for my outbuildings. Contacted 4 different local Mitsubishi dealers of which only two responded. Setpoint came out that same day to work up a quote. They also suggested using a conventional heat pump system for my woodshop rather a mini-split due to the dust. Got my quote within 24 hours. The second dealer came out several days later and, after a week quoted me a higher price. Went with Setpoint. They came out within a week and installed both systems the same day working from 7 AM till 1:30 AM to finish the job. Great team that worked hard and did a good job. Was so impressed that when a month later my sons residential heat pump died, we went with Setpoint; no need to get competitive bids.

We realized our AC went out early afternoon and Setpoint was at our house within 3 hours of our call. I have no idea if pricing was competitive or a good value, and I would have liked to see a more itemized invoice, but we were back in action within a few hours, which was the priority with an infant and a toddler in the house.We ended up contacting them the same week for an issue at a rental property and service was prompt, but they charged 3x what I’ve paid in the past for washing the condenser and a few weeks later another tech washed it again for us, saying the coils still looked pretty dirty. (And it was 1/3 the price, again.)So for emergency service, I’d recommend these guys, but be prepared to pay a premium.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about the folks at Setpoint; Yamel Gonzalez in particular). They installed a mini-split system for my woodworking shop and they over delivered on everything from the initial quote, delivery and maintenance. All truly good relationships must be tested to know if you are working with great people when things are great but not so great when issues arise. Our project was pretty seamless but we did hit a snag; the team at Setpoint handled it professionally and left me with nothing but peace of mind.We recently had what I thought was a Freon leak and they were onsite the next morning to check things out. Turns out the problem was a low-tech homeowner education type thing so they took the time to get us sorted out on how to get the most out of our unit and only charged us a modest service call fee (vs. doing a bunch of unnecessary and expensive tests or similar shenanigans).They are our go-to for HVAC!

I was building a second living space in my home and needed the AC (Mini-split system) roughed in before drywall. I called multiple AC companies. Several did not show up for their appointments and several gave me the kind of estimate that told me they really did not want the job. We logged into the Mitsubishi website and were referred to Setpoint. They contacted us within 15 minutes and set an appointment for 3 hours later. Yamel showed up, was very knowledgeable and even made recommendations to save us money. I had a competitive estimate later that day (Friday) and they began the installation on Monday. I cannot express how professional, timely, and knowledgeable they are! Five star all the way!

My elderly moms A/C went out last Sunday and she called Setpoint late morning same day. Paul was very responsive and came out to assess situation, informed she would need a whole new unit as hers was old. It did not take him long and he had his crew out very soon after, obtained the materials, and began work to install the new unit around 1pm. Several kind and respectable men were there the rest of the day and into the evening to ensure she had A/C. They were also helpful in explaining what had happened and how to work the new system before they left. We cannot thank Paul and his crew enough for their service as we know they work hard and still came out to help on some of their days off. You never would have known that based on how kind and professional they all were. We would recommend Setpoint for any A/C repair or installation and plan to contact them in the future for the other services they provide.

Andrew was very professional and on time. He took his time running his diagnostics in this heat and took the time to show me the results. Gave me an estimate for repairs on a 19 year old A/C that would just be a waste because of the age. In the last year Ive had about 4 A/C companies come out and give me an estimate on replacing my whole A/C system. Setpoint was on the lower end on price and they also had immediate availability on Carrier. Setpoint is coming out tomorrow to install my new unit. TLDR: they are awesome and you should use them. They arrive on time, are professional, are friendly, explain anything you ask without making you feel dumb, and respond to messages with lighting speed. Oh and they were cheaper than every other option with the best warranty.I will start with the thing most me care about. The price. They came in a few grand cheaper than the next bid. Even though the next closest bid was for a 4ton ruud with a 10yr part and 2yr labor warranty vs the 5ton York and 10yr parts and labor and inceeasing my return volume. The other difference is the other companies didnt give a cost break down. SetPoint did. Plus they let me ask for options, bith adding and subtracting what i did or did not want or need. This made it feel much more above board and like they were 1 size fits alling things or trying to obscure their profit.Professionalism. These guys take pride in their work. Alex and Don both were amazing and talked with respect. They also left their work place cleaner than they found it. Also, they made very minimal noise. I was on work calls all day and nobody had a clue i was having my a/c replaced. Also, the owner drove to my house to say hello and inspect the work at 8pm on a friday, to my house in bastrop.Accessibility. From the start they were more accessible and friendly than any competitors. I called them on the Sunday before labor day and they had Alex on site within the hour. Which is impressive as again i live near bastrop. He walked me through issues with my system and various options. Then i receieved the 3 quotes within 2 hrs. I asked for a 4th and got it within an hour. Even though it was later in the night. Thats one of the things that struck me the most. Every message i sent to them was responded to within 2hrs. Even my dumb questions in the middle of the night. Another thing was Yamel wouldnt bs me. If he wasnt sure about something he would tell me. That went along way to make it feel like i was dealing with a company that seems to genuinely care about their customers.As such, i cant help but to give them a 5 star rating. I have little doubt if i have some unforseen issue theyll work it out with me in a more than fair manner.Thanks to the whole crew at SetPoint. This was done with only a charge to come out after hours. The rest was free as it was covered under warranty.Andrew R who came out cared. Really really cared. He even offered to come over on his own time to top off my refrigerant before the weekend so my family and i could have some release from the heat. He was super polite and extremely professional. Still extremely happy i used SetPointUpdate 9/4Had an issue with my A/C. the owner and i had a disagreement over it. That said i would still 100% recommend this group. He went the extra mile to ensure things got repaired and even came out himself to ensure I wasnt making things up.Its easy to have customer service when everything is going well. It is a real mark of customer service when you have issues and are losing money to still do the right thing. I can say that they did the right thing.

I have a senville 18k btu split mini that had a new copper line 16’ added that needed flaring and pressure test. Jake was on time and completed the job on time. He was very knowledgeable and efficient and skillful with 12 years experience. I worked with Jake for a routine HVAC inspection and had a phenomenal experience.When I called Setpoint, a service representative responded right away and even offered to send a technician out the same day to check my unit. Jake ended up assisting me and was fantastic; he was punctual and extremely professional and quickly evaluated both the condenser and the indoor unit to make sure everything was working properly. He called me right after he finished and explained how everything was running and gave me a couple different things I could do now and down the road to make sure our HVAC unit stays working properly even in the hot Texas summer.I without a doubt will be giving Setpoint more business in the future as long as the service remains at the bar Jake set. The Set Point representative came out to make sure that my AC was working correctly because I just had it installed at the end of July in 2022. He did several checks on it, made a couple of changes, made sure the line was clear and was very professional in making sure that my AC was doing exactly what it supposed to do, thank you Set Point!

This new unit was less than 2 yrs old, my core part was leaking and I lost all the freeon the part was covered but the install of the part was $1450.00 well being retired I wa a little shocked but calling back to Jamal he explained why it was not just the install of the core but the Freeon that was costly!!! So I guess 1000$ worth of freeon is going price as my cousin in Beaumont says his company only would charge 500$ to put that core in.
