    Very fast and professional. Got to my house on time, diagnosed problem and had it fixed in an hour. I will be using them again if needed.     The good reviews did not disappoint…what an amazing business, staff, and owner. Seriously a well oiled machine! I called first thing in the morning and thankfully they were able to get me in and was on their way within the hour! First the technician came to see what was wrong, unfortunately for us the unit was done & needed replacement. He called the owner and him what he found, then before leaving said the owner would be coming to confirm his findings. Within 30 minutes I received a text saying Dirk ( the owner) was en route. He came confirmed the unit was done and immediately ( after my asking how soon and how much to replace it) got on the phone to make sure they had all that was needed. Again God blessed us because they had every thing and also had a cancellation for the next day so the crew was at my home at 8AM the next morning & worked until 3PM. They are all incredibly professional and mannered, and although I don’t think they knew I heard one talking and taking like a minute to be sweet to our dogs…for me that speaks volumes of their character and made me smile. Also they cleaned up & took away everything even our old unit, there was literally zero evidence of them even being on our property or in our home…well except for a new thermostat and wonderfully cool upstairs!! Seriously you can not go wrong with calling McDonald Mechanical Service! I hope it will be a long time before needing AC help but I definitely know who I will call as long as I live in Texas. Thank you all sooo much for such a fast, professional job and for the love you showed my dogs

    After several failed repair attempts through American Home Shield, I messaged MMS for help. Dirk responded to my message immediately, was at my house in less than an hour, and got my unit back up and running before the freezing weather next week. If youre using anyone else for your HVAC needs, youre wasting time and money.

    I have used McDonald mechanical services more than once on different homes. He is always on time, sometimes even early. He is very thorough and explains everything that he is doing and looking at. Once he diagnosis the problems he reviews the options on fixing it and the reasonings of what all is needed. Because of this, I trust his services 100% as well as him guaranteeing his work. We had a new inside and out system put in and he followed up a couple days later by coming to the house and getting back in the attic to check everything to make sure it was working correctly. I will be using him again for my mothers ac system as it needs to be replaced as well. 10 stars.

    We own a few rentals in the Orange/Bridge City area and stumbled across McDonald Mechanical earlier this summer. We have struggled to find a reliable AC company for 3 years. We have used Dirk and his team about 5 times now and they are always quick and keep us in the loop on the work they perform. We highly recommend McDonald HVAC

    Mr McDonald waisted no time to get to me when I needed my heater looked at. I sent a short video and he was able to diagnose the problem. He had to not only change out 1 but 2 contractors and only charged me what he quoted me before even showing up. Awesome service.

    We called McDonald Mechanical Services, initially believing our a/c fan motor was going out. The tech, (David Cruz) and owner (Dirk McDonald) came out and installed a new fan motor. Upon realizing that was not the issue, Dirk chose to not charge us for the motor, only the service fee. They later came and installed the squirrel cage blower, which 💯 fixed our issue. We appreciate the ethical way they do business, as well as the level of professionalism they consistently have.

    Dirk, the owner, came out at almost 8 at night after a long day. checked and refilled my refrigerant. didnt try to screw me out of anything. was honest and helpful on aspects of the ac that he wasnt even working on so that we didnt have future problems. would for sure suggest to anyone else for a/c needs.

    I needed my a/c ducts under my mobile home checked for leaks. I was noticing cool air under my home. I called their office and spoke to Jessica on a Monday. She was friendly and professional. She added me to their busy schedule right away. She was able to schedule the next day. The installer, Chance, was able to come an hour earlier than scheduled and was polite and professional. He quickly located the leak and made the repair right away.

    From the first message to the calls, and until the technician left, they were super kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were quick to answer and quick to come out. Thank goodness, because, with this summer heat, it was 85 degrees in my house. The technician knew the problem immediately upon looking and quickly got the part needed, which they had on hand thankfully, and changed it out! The cost was super affordable, especially compared to the last company I used last summer. My outside unit was working again in no time and my house is like an icebox now! I will definitely be calling them again when I need any sort of HVAC work done! Fast, proficient, reliable, kind, and knowledgeable.

    I had called another a/c repair company to fix my unit to no avail. Called the owner of McDonald Mechanical Sevices. He came out himself and knocked the job out within an hour. Recorded and told me everything that was wrong, what he fixed and what he recommended for the future. Quick precise service and also affordable. I wont use any other company Going forward.
