    The most honest and ethical Mechanical company I have ever hired. When my mothers AC went down on a Sunday, they were here and charged a fair rate. We use them a lot and they have always been fair on their pricing. Great service and very Christ like.

    Fixed my AC handler at a low price while the other guys wanted $2k to replace a blower fan motor when that was not the issue to begin with. Honesty and integrity is where these guys start when they walk in your door. They are real service techs who find a solution to the problem and not sell you a solution.

    Thankfully a friend referred me to Ed Ivie and Ideal Air Care. They replaced my condos whole AC system at a reasonable price and did a great job. They had to do extra work to complete the job properly, which involved cutting into my drywall, and did not charge me more, but stuck to the quoted price. Very happy with them!!!

    I was amazed by the way Ideal Air Care worked on my HVAC. We had been without heat for weeks. Walter worked diligently with Ed Walter to get me back up and running in less than a day. They answered all my questions. The charge for the service was also so very reasonable. I will definitely call on them again for seasonal maintenance and recommend them without hesitation.

    These guys came out within hours of our AC going out last summer and fixed the issue in no time. We recently had a sudden leak from our unit into our ceiling and we didn’t hesitate to call Ed and his crew again. The swift response was surprising considering the current heat wave, and once again, the issue was resolved and explained to us in a thorough manner. They do great work in a timely fashion and I highly recommend Ideal Aircare.

    We had an amazing experience with Ed! Our AC went out in the July heat, and after calling 7 places, Ed Ivey came and saved the day! The repair cost less than we anticipated, and he found a wire that needed to be repaired inside our unit. As an added bonus he loved our (very old) rescue dog who can look intimidating but just needs a little extra care, and he loves Ed right back. We are so grateful for him and from now on he is the only AC guy we are going to call.

    Wonderful experience all around. Ideal Aircare diagnosed my problem and fixed it the day before a very cold Christmas Eve. Thankfully their swift diagnosis meant they could get the part they needed before the holiday. The technician was friendly and professional and explained everything in terms I could understand. The owner dropped by himself to deliver the part. They also were the only company I called that morning that had a real live person answering the phone!

    Ed (owner) and the Ideal AirCare crew are great! We just had them install 2 new A/C units to replace our original ~16-year old units. Ed gave us a clear bid, and was here for the installation the entire time. He answered all my questions and the installation was great. He gave me a rundown of the systems when the work was complete. His crew was great and they cleaned-up after the project was done.I strongly recommend them. His bid was cheaper than other firms I contacted, and he was transparent with me about what made the most sense given our home/scenario (the cheaper units which are head-and-shoulders better than our original builder-grade units).

    I cant say enough good things about Ideal Aircare, great quality work, very quick and responsive which is so important when youre faced with no A/C or heat. Our 22-year-old system died and Ed personally came out and gave us a quote, it was instantly clear he knew what he was talking about and was looking out for my HVAC system. We couldnt be happier with the system we got installed and look forward to working with Ideal Aircare again should any issue arise or if we ever move, Ed is the only person I would call.

    Called Ideal out for a second opinion after another company tried to pressure me into replacing my HVAC system. Ideal was great about explaining my options and recommended a comparatively cheap repair instead. Turns out nothing was actually wrong with my HVAC unit, but Matthew was very nice about letting me watch the whole process and ask lots of questions. Well worth the service fee for peace of mind and learning something new.

    We purchased a new home and on the first cold day this year, found out our heating was busted. Called Ideal at 5:30pm and they had someone out at 9am the next day. They diagnosed the issue and gave us a timeframe for the part we needed to come in. Took a little longer than estimated for the part to come in but thats not their fault - they called me the moment the part came in and said theyd send someone immediately to pick it up and come straight over to install it. Walter was super friendly, answered all of our questions, installed the part and stayed to run a full test of the system to make sure it was really fixed. Cant say enough good things about Walter and his service, and would definitely recommend! We got competitive quotes and Ideals rates were spot on with all the others. Definitely a fair price for the great service!

    I had called five companies ed answered right away and was able to answer most of my questions on the phone. When he arrived 30 minutes later, he was able to. Diagnose my problem of a leaky coil and get the old unit working until the new unit could arrive. No hidden fees up front reliable will definitely pass their information along to others.Thank you ideal aircare. I woke up and I thought I moved to Antarctica.

    I tell you what, customer service goes an extremely long way with me. I’m a customer for life with Ideal Aircare. Both times my furnace went down, the owner, Ed has personally taken it upon himself to make sure I was without heat for the least amount of time possible. Last night, at 8pm, he FaceTimed me while I troubleshooted the problem. Who does that? We were able to get the furnace to run through the night and guess who showed up first thing the next morning to do a permanent repair? Ed. The owner. If that doesn’t tell you all you need to know, I can’t help you. As a first time homeowner, this is the kind of relationship that will last a lifetime.

    AC went out on a Friday leading into another 100+ degree weekend. Ideal Aircare was out at our house exactly when they said they would be and they were very professional. We were back up and running in less than 30 minutes with a simple fix. What a great experience.

    Ideal AirCare was my second opinion call. The first told me the reversing valve on my heat pump was dead and needed to be replaced, then pressured me to replace the entire heat pump for 4K because it would make more sense. In contrast, Ideals technicians let me hover around them as they worked and answered all my annoying layman questions. They diagnosed my Nest thermostat as the real culprit. They replaced it and it was as simple as that. I am truly grateful we made that second opinion call. Whenever our A/C DOES need a replacement, I have no doubt about which company we will be calling!

    The best AC repair company in Austin. Very honest, reliable and professional. Twice I have used them over the years, both during 100+ temp days, they were able to get their tech in same day. First time a different AC company (also with 5* on yelp) came, did a few diagnostics and told me I needed to replace the compressor, and give me a $4k+ quote. The AC unit is 7 years old and compressor still under warranty. I called in Idealcare for a 2nd opinion. The tech came and within 5 minutes he tested and found out the compressor was perfectly fine. Found an electrical issue on the board. Fixed it in an hour with a $150 bill. He also checked all parts of the unit, and tightened a loose plate that could be a short circuit hazard. Beware. Most AC repair companies in Austin play this game. They make you replace a working unit with a new one, charge you a thousand $ in install, then they turn around and sell the old unit to someone else. If an AC guy tells you, you need a new unit, give Idealcare a call for a 2nd opinion. Their service call is $85, so if you do indeed need a new unit, you can atleast be sure of it. The owner Ed is an upstanding guy and I hope he stays in the business so I have someone to call any time I have an AC issue.

    So grateful to Ed at Ideal AirCare! I requested a quote online last night. He called me today, pretty much diagnosing the problem over the phone. He said they would be in the area and could check it out today. My husband and I were both at work, but asked if he could go in through our keyless entry, which he agreed. I walked in after work and my house was cool for the first time in weeks! Great experience, easy, to-the-point, and under $200 in our case.

    The beginning of an anticipated record Texas summer. Our A/C seems to be working 24/7 to maintain temperatures… then it can’t keep up anymore. I’m a “prosumer” so I look for condensation, filters, clogged drains, outdoor fans not spinning… everything looks great. I called Ideal AirCare and based on the fact that our house wasn’t in dire need (second A/C unit was working) they came out the next day. Joey arrived and was polite, focused on cleanliness with those fabric booties and did a thorough check of the internal HVAC before clearing it and proceeding outside. He quickly identified that the capacitor was bad and went to his truck to retrieve a new one — so glad he brought a supply with him! He recognized that I was hanging around and that I liked to learn, so he explained everything he was testing and fixing. The A/C was quickly cooling again, but Joey gave a few extra minutes to explain how I can extend the life of the capacitors and filters (and which Amazon copies to watch out for). Like I said, I’m a “prosumer” but I’d never gotten this advice before, and it will likely mean we won’t need to call Ideal again for a while — and they’re okay with that!

    5 years ago I called Ideal Air Care in desperation. It was August, had family visiting from out of state and it was Saturday 5pm. Ed made a special trip out right then to try and eliminate my AC aggravation. He was able to temporarily patch it, then worked on a heatpump/AC plan and recommendations to move thermostat and increase airflow into AC. The new system saved us $$ every month since in electric costs. Multiple times since he has worked with me to improve our AC life, even got us setup with a wifi thermostat so we can control from anywhere and setup and heating cooling schedules online. During the virus scare we called again and they found a solution with a Plasma Ion Unit that fit right in our AC blower!UPDATE: JULY 2021 > came home from work and AC was out, and again they worked to provide a solution trying several things while the under warranty blower was being shipped to arrive next day. Joey the AC Tech had the patience to work while I cleaned out all the built-up grime inside the blower housing. This was a releif. They are no dought THE go-to guys for all things AC and Heat related for our family.
