I was 1/4 of the way through a 4,000 mile trip. My AC died two hours into the trip. I had a week layover in Austin. G.A. Automotive was able to replace my air conditioning system on my 2011 Dodge Challenge Classic Edition. He did an awesome job on my prized ride. Ive been enjoying my AC for over a month and a half now. I highly recommend G.A. Automotive. 5 stars!

This is my new favorite mechanic! I came here because two other shops told me I needed a new engine. I called around and G.A. was the lowest quote. When I brought it in for the work Antares told me it didnt look like the entire engine was bad. He asked if he could re-diagnose and was able to fix my cae for a fraction of the price of an engine -- the opposite of an upsell. Antares is honest and immediately felt like family somehow. Hes also very thorough in explaining things to me. Hes good people and trustworthy. I think theyre great.

I had a fantastic experience with GA Automotive. My wifes car needed some work done, and I called 5 different shops to get quoted. GA had some of the best pricing, and after every diagnosis step, he called me up and took the time to walk me through what he found, his recommendation on what to do next. Getting your car repaired can be expensive, and therefore scary, but I felt like I was getting the best advice. I liked them so much that I bought my own car there for diagnosis.Thanks guys!

We all know an excellent, honest, affordable car mechanic businesses are worth their weight in gold. G.A. Automotive has been such a place for me. Visiting in Austin, and old friend and a local here recommend proprietor Anteras Garcia’s shop where he takes his car and his two grown children’s cars. I found out from a corporate chain tire-shop that I needed steering axles replaced before driving back home 2 states. G.A. Automotive charged me 1/3 of the price that the former shop quoted me for the same job!Further I had a really complicated moisture condensation problem that had turned into some interior mold. I had cleaned mold out from behind my door panels prior to my trip. However I could still smell the mold and my car interior would steam up during downpours. So Anteras took his time trouble shooting all the ways the moisture condensation could be coming into my cab, and he thought of solutions to fix that.Since he was affordable I hired him to take apart my dash and center console so we could see where the mold smell was coming from, and clean inside there. Quite a bit of mold was found in the evaporative cooler which he replaced.After it was all back together, cleaned and the water intrusion fixed the mold smell was gone and my car was in a downpour with no steaming up inside.

This is the best automotive repair shop that Ive found, and Ive been to many. They are fast, honest, explain so much to me, and have reasonable prices. They keep my 1996 Grand Caravan (over 275,000 mikes) running great. Some shops have told me that they wont work on it. Hums, just as smooth as when it was new. Go!!! You wont be sorry.

Had a mainstream mechanic tell me that I needed all new bushings, and a new axle with a quote well over $2,000. I found GA automotive and they looked it over and could not find an issue. The gentleman working on my car even walked me around, showed my everything, and explained any questions I had. They even said if there was something to fix we would be happy to fix it, but we do not see anything. The honesty and integrity alone will make me a forever customer!!!

Ive reviewed this shop before, and Ill gladly do it again. I know the shop is a bit dirty, and may seem cluttered, but Antarres and his crew at G & A really are the guys to go see for any vehicle repair (i believe with the exception of body work). We have been having our families vehicles service there for 15 years, and hes not once tried to sell the wife anything she didnt really need....even when she was alone. Ive also never had to return anything because the issue wasnt resolved or was not done right.

Highly recommended!!!Ive been dealing with this garage for 2+ years, Antares is an honest man, he tells you what exactly your car need with affordable prices !They dont try to pressure you to do unnecessary jobs like flushing the engine with the oil change, like the other shops, which leads to engine failure. (Many shops push the customer to do unnecessary jobs just to suck the coustomers money.)Most of the customers that they deal with this place are long-time loyal customers!! Amazing customer service - was 30 minutes before closing time and I needed an emergency battery replacement for very corroded terminals. I bought my battery at O’Reilly’s who recommended GA’s since they couldn’t get it off. This location has 2 separate auto shops, and I highly recommend both. I initially went to them through a friends referral, and have now referred several friends myself. Both shops are very honest and good at doing a thorough job. They dont try to pressure you to do unnecessary jobs, and will tell you when something actually shouldnt be done since it might harm the car (such as a transmission system pressurized flush that many other mechanics will try to do).

Paolino came on time as promised and charged me an extremely reasonable and fair fee which was much cheaper than all the other quotes I had gotten from other wrecker/towing companies. I had a whomp whomp noise in the car. Took it Discount Tire and they glanced at my tires and told me it was a bearing issue, told me it was driveable and sent me away! Got referred to GA automotive and they handled the issue. If u want an honest automotive shop that cares about their customers , this is it! It was a bolt in the tire!
