    I was in need of getting a 19-year-old HVAC system replaced and based on their reviews, I contacted G & S Mechanical for a quote. Rick arrived on time. He was very friendly and courteous. He proceeded to assess the current system and later explained to me what types of HVAC systems would be an option. He was very informative and was able to answer any questions I had. He was also very efficient. After He left, I received an email with the quotes within the hour.I decided to go with G & S Mechanical and made the call and spoke with Stephanie. She was able to schedule installation withing a few days. She was so polite and helpful and I received emails and text messages reminding me of the appointment for the installation.Today was installation day and Ray and Chris arrived on time to get started. Chris explained what was to happen then He and Chris got to it with one handling the outside unit and the other taking care of the inside unit. They worked very well together and independently and they would occasionally check or assist the other. They didnt stop until the units were installed and tested. They were both very polite and courteous as well and Ray was very kind in answering a few questions I had.Overall, I was very pleased with the experience with Rick, Stephanie, Ray and Chris. Being a home owner, its sometimes difficult to find a fair and reliable company to work with sometimes. I was lucky, I now know who to turn to should I require HVAC service.     I highly recommend G&S. Their pricing is very competitive AND their technicians are professional, patient, and very thorough! A realtor friend who had used them personally strongly suggested that I contact this company for an HVAC replacement quote. After the install, my tenants were so pleased that they specifically wrote me an email to tell me how impressed they were. Additionally, G&S has a good team of staff who are communicative, efficient and professional. I will definitely use G&S again for my properties.

    Woody from G & S Mechanical is my hero! He figured out why my HVAC kept stopping, he fixed the basic problem and I am toasty and warm again!     Big thank you to Shannon and the nice lady who answers the phone. Im a renter of a home and my property management company failed to timely put in a work order for us after our A/C was out ALL DAY. After explaining my frustration with that, the team at G&S managed to set up a time to fix my A/C the SAME DAY despite getting the request an hour before normal closing hours. Had they not been able to help I would have had to get a hotel for the night with my two littles. They were still willing to come the next day, but Im so grateful they made it possible to come sooner!

    Over the weekend we had a clogged pipe I called early in the morning spoke to Melissa she was super responsive and scheduled an appointment for the same day!     I am a renter and they were quick to respond. Bo was professional and forth coming with the issues.He quickly contacted the realtor who takes care of the property and gave them the necessary information before he left.The next day I was contacted by G & S that a new unit was approved to be installed on Friday. I was so impressed that they took the time to walk me through multiple repair vs replace options- without any pressure- and help me make the right decision. Once I decided to replace the system, once again G&S clearly and concisely outlined my options- then provided a written quote exactly in line with what was communicated over the phone. Installation was done quickly and exactly when promised.     Richard with G&S did a really great job and is a stellar professional! We have 3 units, 2 of them are older units and he came to service all 3 of them. He did a thorough job, changed out the air filters, found one issue and got it repaired. My dogs absolutely loved him and believe me, he was super patient with my big dog.

    ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Our AC stopped working and our usual service company stated they weren’t available for two days!! We have a four year old and it’s 100 degrees outside that wasn’t going to work. A neighbor recommended G&S so I called hoping at least for 1 day wait. The woman on the phone was so kind and helpful! And they sent Richard out 6 hours later!!! He called before coming and he was very professional and quick!! What a life saver for our family. I will be recommending G&S to anyone with an hvac issue.     We recently had issues with our air conditioning, with it progressively weakening and causing us some significant discomfort in the Texas summer. G & S Mechanical responded quickly, sending Bo out to address our issue. He was punctual (even calling ahead and giving us the option of his arriving a little ahead of time), worked quickly and diligently, and had our problem fixed within the hour.     We hired G&S Mechanical in South Austin area to install 4 big mini split AC systems and we have best experience from inspection to quotation to installation AND post installation follow up. Shane Mason did the work for us and he is absolutely great. On time, great communication and just an easy going personality to work with. Not only did they do great job, everything was done right on time. Within a week, we had the installation completely done. Shane also suggested few great things to enhance the cooling performance. We never thought we will have such smooth experience with this process and G&S was absolutely awesome. Above all, their pricing was much better than the rest.

    After years of anxiety nursing our Frankenstein HVAC system, it was finally time to go. I called G&S based upon others reviews here and I am glad I did. They happen to have someone in my area who could drop in for an estimate within 90 minutes of my call. That tech (I think his name was Josh? Jason?) was quite pleasant and informative. The estimate price he gave us was about what wed hoped for based upon our neighbors purchase 10 months ago. There was absolutely no hard sell.We got three more quotes with one of them being more than twice what G&S quoted us - um, no thank you! Not only was G&S the best price, they offered us several options since our budget is currently very limited but we chose to go ahead with a full system replacement as it was the best value in the long run.They managed to squeeze us into the install schedule about 5 days after making the down payment. The install crew (who are directly employed by G&S) of Austin, Estobahn, and Darren were so polite, tolerated all our questions, and were efficient and conscientious. This team has clearly been working together a while and it shows. For their comfort, we put together a cooler of gatorade, water, pickles, and towels (to dip in the ice water) to help keep them cool while in the hot attic. These guys ran into problems with our 1974 home, but they problem solved with ease it seemed, even getting a bit of help from another tech who came out for a consult. They got it all done in seven hours (a bit more than expected because of our particular issues) and were testing and cooling the house by about 4p.m.And a final shoutout to Tammie and Melissa in the office who helped answer our questions, get everything arranged with our odd payment setup, and in general helped everything go smoothly from my first call to final install and peace of mind.Overall, the whole process took about 3 weeks from first call to install, but this includes the time it took for us to get other quotes, arrange payment and then get on the install schedule.We are very pleased with our service from G&S and highly recommend them.

    If youre reading this, look no further! G&S Mechanical are qualified and courteous professionals from top to bottom. Ive known the owner, Gabe, since he was going at it all by himself. G&S has your best interest at heart. When my AC started going out I called G&S to come check it out. They gave me the option of charging it up every so often to make it last 1 or 2 more years or replacing the whole system. I chose to replace the whole system. Knowing what a new system cost, from my Mother just having hers replaced, I knew G&S were being honest when they quoted mine out. Being disabled, Gabe brought 3 of his techs to do it, introduced them and explained what they were going to be doing. On top of that, they even fixed my busted latter leading up to the attic of my house. I have recommended G&S to families and neighbors without hesitation!Dont pay any attention to that crazy ladys review down below.

Tamie and Lei went back and forth with the warranty company by email and phone to get the quote ironed out, which took days. They always kept me informed and were very courteous. Once the work was approved, Huber and Ray replaced our failed AC condenser in a professional and timely manner. Great service all around!

They sent out a preferred vendor who gave me a list of things that needed repair that werent broken all while denying my claim. I called G&S and they found the true problem, checked the system and made the repair same day. I cannot recommend G&S enough. Customer for life.

    G & S Mechanical installed our HVAC system in 2019 and we decided to purchase a 2 year maintenance contract. All of the techs that have come out we’re good but our latest Cody was amazing. He called plenty in advance of coming over. He was professional and very informative. He found a yellow jacket nest and removed it before testing the heating. If it had not been found our heat would not have worked properly this winter. He spent time explaining how our system worked and was very polite. I would always refer G&S Mechanical and Cody is the best tech we’ve ever had.

    Our A/C Blower Motor went out a few days ago and after pricing and debating and calling a few places I can honestly say Im absolutely greatful I went with G&S Mechanical in Hutto . Customer service was superb!     I love Austin, but the worst thing about July is the excruciating heat outside.Whats even WORSE than that is the heat INSIDE, which is what happened to us last night.We had family over and the air conditioning was working fine most of the day. In the evening, we decided to do some grilling and noticed the temperature inside wasnt going down. We thought it was because of the cooking inside and me coming in and out of the house, and the family running around. Well, we didnt realize until later that evening that only warm air was blowing through the vents, not the cold stuff.Jairo from G&S came out the following morning at 9 am, found the problem within a few minutes. Turned out to be a broken capacitor. He double-checked our AC system in the attic to make sure everything was good there. In and out in less than an hour!I was expecting to shell out an arm and a leg for the fast service call and repair. The cost turned out to be very reasonable and fair.I know HVAC folks are swamped during the summer, so for them to take the time to take care of me, that says a lot about the company!

    Awesome service! My HVAC control board went bad, and I called a friend whos an outstanding roofer, and asked if he knew a trustworthy and reliable HVAC specialist. He recommended G&S Mechanical right away. I called, and Gabe from G&S went to work getting me a quote, and in the meantime let me borrow a used control board for free so we didnt have to sweat out the weekend!

Our commercial office had an old (2002) a/c unit and we feared we would have to buy a new one - they remembered they had one in their warehouse and searched for it until the found the part we needed - saved us thousands.

    I called G&S when I came home from work and my house was 95 degrees inside. I checked for obvious issues that would cause the AC unit not to work, and then finally Googled an AC repairman in my area. I called for after hours service and Jesus was here within 30 mins. He came to the door with his equipment and wasted little time getting right outside to the compressor. Within 20 mins of his arrival I felt the cold breeze of the air conditioner blowing. He came back to the door explaining that he had serviced my compressor and replaced a capacitor (that he thankfully had available on his truck), showing me the part and explaining the failure.When I made the initial call to G&S I was certain that I was looking at a $3k-$6k bill and instead my bill was $160 for everything. What a great surprise! Before Jesus left he patiently explained the need for annual service and offered to take my information and have someone contact me to set up the first service call. I would highly recommend this company, and Jesus, for any service your AC unit may need.

    Gabe came out after hours and did not charge me the 1.5x the normal amount. He was professional and kind. He explained to me everything that he was doing as he was doing it. I cant say enough how he could have taken advantage of me, but chose not to. G & S has a customer for life as long as his amazing service continues.Oh, and btw. No charge to diagnose. Their competitors wanted to charge me 80$ just to come out and look.

    I called G & S in November of 2017 and had found out that my evaporator coil had a leak so I went ahead had the upstairs unit replaced due to age and cost of R 22 Freon . They came that same week to replaced the system. Abraham,Jairo and Jeremiah were very professional and did an excellent job.There was a small issue with the furnace but they came out right way and corrected the issue. Then on 3/21/2018 I called them to check on my downstairs unit. Huber and Rigo quickly found a small leak in the line and repaired it.They were very courteous and answered my questions.     They answered their phone right away unlike others I called in the morning. The repair man came out earlier (after confirming by phone) than planned and quickly diagnosed the problem as a blown starter capacitor on the compressor unit.
