I called them around 5pm when I got home and my A/C was not working. Chris came out around 6:30 and spent 1.5 hours taking apart our system and diagnosing. He found a simple wiring issue and fixed it without charging us anything beyond the $49 service fee. Even after he fixed the issue and confirmed it was working, he went up into our attic just to make sure there were no other issues. I would highly recommend.

**Emergency AC Review**I recently had a 3-ton, 2-stage HVAC system installed by Emergency AC, and overall, I’m very satisfied with their service. First off, I want to thank Todd from Emergency AC of Houston’s sales team. He made the whole stressful situation seamless. Shortly after Hurricane Beryl our AC went out. After calling around Houston for quotes we started to get discouraged over the price of a new unit and how soon we could get a system installed. This is where Todd came along. Emergency AC was our last call of the day, and it was worth it. Within a few hours Emergency AC arrived and gave us an amazing price for a full system replacement. Be sure to do your homework because a lot of companies will sell you most of the system without a furnace and charge you the same price for a complete system. Todd explained why companies do this and what sets Emergency AC apart. They also give you an unbeatable warranty with the system. After Todd came out and walked us through everything, we had an installation team at the house two days later. The installation team was quick and clean. They even installed the whole system in the rain! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a seamless process. Will definitely be recommending them to everyone we know.

They stated they would need to bring a new condenser. Came back 9/5 at 4pm left a little after 5pm with all systems running. 1st day didn’t give me any reassurance that we made the right choice. After today 9/5 visit all running. I feel somewhat better.

Update,I finally got a call back from the new office manager. He listened to all my concerns and then said he would send out some to check my concerns. He also looked into mycontact to let me know all my befits and even installed a surge protector, which I thought we had. I would say the manger, Richard and the tec, have renewed my faith in this company.Ive had my whole system replaced with this company and Im now regrettingit. Company doesnt do a good job with telling you whats wrong and how they will handle it for you, also does a terrible job of following up with you even after calling in and requesting it. Pushing upgrades to your system when you habe already got some updates and they didnt work.I do not recommend using emergency AC.

We have been struggling with a 20 year old AC system that stops working at the hottest part of the day for over a week. The indoor temperature reached 91 on the worst day. I knew we needed a new unit so I got 5 different companies to come out and give me quotes. The salesman Tod came at 9:00 on the dot for a 9:00 scheduled appointment. He talked me through all my options and helped through the finance. The price was almost half of what one company quoted. He made me feel confident that he wasn’t trying to overcharge for anything and he was really trying to help get the us get the best possible deal. 24 hours later and 2 guys came loaded with all the equipment to get our new HVAC system installed. Anthony and Erick were very professional and checked that everything was working perfectly before they left. They gave us good maintenance tips that we didn’t know before. And they didn’t let the rain stop them from getting work done. It was all a good experience and we are now sitting in room that’s 75 degrees !!!

On Oct 15th,2024 Brandon came out because our upstairs AC unit was making a loud repetitive noise in the wall where the lines came into the house. He adjusted the lines by pulling one a little out of the wall and away from the 2nd AC line and the noise stopped. The company didnt even charge me.Mitchel quickly determined the problem and the AC was fixed. It was actually a loose wire in our main panel so it was really our mistake for not seeing that the wire was loose.

We have had a vibration in the air handler that reverberates down stairs. He told us what was necessary to solve the problem, vibration dampers. He said he would schedule the next appointment and that they would call us. Sounds like problem solved on their next visit.

So I recently had a Lennox system installed in June 2023 to replace the system serving the upstairs of my home and went with a different company in the Spring, Tx area. I had gotten multiple quotes and did not necessarily go with the cheapest bidder.Upon further thought, I decided to also replace the system serving the downstairs area of my home since it’s a 17 yr old system and decided on Emergency AC of Houston/Gregg Air LLC. (Gregg Air was bought out so dont ever do business with Tod Oakes, Jonathan Gilbert or Chase Barrett or youll regret it. Luckily they are gone from Emergency AC).Pros:They will be the cheapest quote you get.Cons:The job was subcontracted without telling me. The subcontractors were difficult to communicate with during the job.The subcontractors didn’t install the media filter and housing I had paid for, didn’t install the access door to the coils and they didn’t seal the ductwork to the new unit in the attic. To confirm the work was performed, the subcontractor even sent a photo of the upstairs system installed in late June by a different company to show their installation of the media filter at the site to the supervisor overseeing the job from the DFW area. Saw what? After contacting the local Gregg Air office about these issues, including not installing the media filter and housing, they were very apologetic and sent their employees Tanner and Eric to try and address these concerns around Aug 10, 2023.Update Dec. 6, 2024My system was checked out by another HVAC company as they were inspecting the unit they installed in June 2023 for my upstairs area. CO levels on the downstairs system installed by contractors of Gregg Air read 116 ppm, flue piping had been taped to cover 2 gaps, the plenum used was too small and covered part of the coils which reduced efficiency, along with other issues.Due to Gregg Air being bought out, it was hard to get in touch with anyone who could now resolve my issues. Luckily, around 9:30 PM on Friday night Dec. 6, 2024, I was able to get in touch with the GM of the new owners in the DFW area and forward my email about my issues and concerns, along with photos of the concerns. He graciously took my call and told me he would call me back on Sunday, to which I declined and said to spend time with your family and just give me a call on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. Well, Monday morning rolled around and I received a call from the local Houston office from Hannah, who was sending out 2 techs to address my issues. Luis and Chris worked 2-3 hours replacing my flue piping, replacing the undersized plenum that didnt even cover the coils, changed the gas piping into the Lennox unit, and cleaned up the install.Im glad to see some stand up people still in this world and appreciate Hannah and M. Artho for handling my concerns today (Monday, Dec. 9, 2024). Gregg Air is gone now and Emergency AC of Houston is a different company now and will handle your concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

We requested an estimate to replace our very old HVAC system and within minutes we got our response and met Tod Oakes of Emergency Air LLC. He examined our old system and we discussed different options for replacement. Tod answered our every question without hesitation and continued to provide not only more information but facts to assist us in making a best and most economical solution along with financing options and offered next day service. He gave us our estimates to mull over and promised to be available if we needed anything else. He lived up to his promise and later assisted us with financing. This became the most professional business encounters I have ever experienced. We now have our system installed and running and installation was a matter of about four hours. All is neat and tidy and we are once again relaxing comfortably. Thank you Tod Oakes and thank you Emergency Air LLC. We will refer everyone to you for their future HVAC needs.

While the technician that came to the house was friendly and knowledgeable, I did not give it a perfect rating. The system is only 7 years old and this is the forth failure Ive had. The fan on the out side unit was the only one covered by warranty. One of the zone dampers shot craps, the ozone sterilizer has evidently stopped working and now the Thermostat has gone out. I would not recommend Lennox equipment. Now the thermostat feels cold to wife in the living room. We have upped the set temperature to make up for it. In an honest effort to not come down hard on this business, I would like to point out that I did not buy the system from this company. They did save me over $1000 from the predecessor of the original company. I think their reason whould be they are no longer a lennox dealer.

Could not have had a better experience! We are relatively new home owners and inherited an old AC system that needed replacement within the first 2 years of owning the home. With the summer quickly approaching we reached out to several service providers and were hit with laughably high quotes.Was recommended Emergency AC of Houston by a family friend, and within an hour or so they were at our house to check out the antiquated system and give us a quote on a new one. The quote came in at less than half of what the other service providers were trying to get us to pay. Financing went without a hitch and the next morning around 7am they promptly arrived and installed the new system.End of story. tl;dr Quick, trustworthy, and reliable company. Two thumbs up!

I received multiple quotes on everything from other companies and Emergency AC surpassed them all! From Todd, Brook and Eric, their employees are diligent, humble and knowledgeable. They answered my million and one questions right away without pause. They also worked with my insurance company which will be sending a small check to help with the costs. Many companies will not even work with you or hike up the estimates if they know that you have a home warranty company. I don’t like being lied to nor do I appreciate lack of willingness to address the issue by the lady covering the phones. I got 5 quotes from various service providers around Houston and am happy to share that the costs were also market competitive. For those who have typically loved the big-name players that advertise a fair bit, be aware that their prices can border on ridiculous for the the same scope. Average costs for installation of complete AC units can be easily researched on the internet so you can have a good idea on price going into the work. Besides the professional and friendly manner of everyone I engaged with, what was most pleasing was a willingness to own the work. Ron came with the install crew to start the job and stayed long enough to ensure that all the equipment needed to complete the work was on hand. He came back after the job was done to ensure that all of the scope that he sold was completed. Although I wasnt able to use Emergency AC of Houston, after talking with Bruce at Emergency AC, I wish I did. Not only was he extremely professional, he was completely honest, and appeared more than capable of meeting my needs for a very odd project.As for his honesty, which I believe is extremely important in projects like these, my previous repair person with 30 years of experienced was hired to fix my ac. However, the repair person was only able to repair half of my ac problem, only to discover that I had another huge problem to pay for and that I needed it fixed ASAP. My gut instinct suggested that I was a victim of a bait and switch and I began to call around for second opinions. Thats when I reached out to Bruce at Emergency AC of Houston. He informed me that he thought that someone who advertises with 30 years experience should have caught the second problem, he did not bait and switch me and that my repairman provided am extremely competitive quote after we went through the entire invoice, the prices, and labor. He then provided his expertise on how my problem can be fixed and provided a firm quote with an ASAP timeframe.Needless to say, I was impressed by Bruces honesty and his ability to get the job done the very next day, which would be today. Since I am dirt poor at the moment, I was forced to give up a 2 year labor guarantee for a 1 year labor guarantee, which reduced the price (unfortunately, every penny counts). Apparently Emergency AC of Houston doesnt compromise their expertise/warranty for labor and knowledge in terms of one year or two year increments. Instead, they offer double the market warranty terms of their labor compared to their competitors. There is no paying for less of a guarantee, you only get the best in the market. In other words, they fix it right the first time.I highly recommend Bruce and Emergency AC of Houston and in the future, I hope to conduct business again with this company.

This company was quick, responsive and had the system installed the last year has been great. But like with anything, there is possible breakdown. AC started to make noise yesterday. I called they came out this morning. Diagnosed the problem. Now waiting on office to get back with time line for repair. Should Al be warranty work.

My AC decided to give up about the end of April or first of May 2022. The search begin to find a company to repair but everyone stated replace and the prices they wanted was a small fortune. Royal Air is listed as several different companies and each time someone came out the quote was different (higher). I was even quote $6k for just the compressor. When they would come out and see that I was a woman, I believe dollar signs begin to churn inside their heads and perhaps thought they can tell me just about anything and I would buy. It is sad companies do that, apparently they forgot this is not the 1800s women today are far more knowledgeable yesterday.I had just about given up when I received a phone call from Mr. Todd. I have to admit I was ready to place him and the company in the pile with all the rest of the crooksters.He came out took a look and said Replace and I immediately went into defense mode. I do not have $18k to replace this. Mr. Todd said it would not cost nearly that much. Also everyone that had come out before told me I needed duct work as well. Mr. Todd stated my ducts were fine.He told me the original system was too small for the square footage of the house and a 5 ton would be better suited for the house. All I was thinking was dollars and cents. He walked me through the process, provided me with a quote which included inside and outside, labor and freon for under $9k. This was a brand new Lennox 5 ton system.He gave me several options for financing and within minutes I was approved and the service was schedule for the very next day.I am so grateful these guys called me and I actually listened.Mr. Todd contacted me the day of the installation to make sure every thing was going well, I saw the supervisor come out several times during the install to make sure every thing progressed as planned, and after the job was finished, I was contacted by the owner of the company to make sure I was satisfied.The workers arrived within the allotted time slot, they were very professional, and I hardly knew they were in and out the house. They took the time to cover the floors and stairs before they begin the work. I knew it was beyond hot in the attic but not once did they complain. I made sure they had cold water to drink through out the process. They took their time and made sure it was done right. No rushing to get to the next job.One thing I forgot to mention, Mr. Todd took his time and explained how the parts worked together and answered any questions that I had. He made me feel comfortable and not pressured into making any decisons.My experience with this company is one for the record books. it is my prayer I do not have to do this no time soon, but if by chance you need AC work, please do not hesistate to give them a call.

The installation of A/C and furnace was clean and they waited to make sure that the equipment are working properly before leaving. The only drawback was they forgot the A/C pad. They said they will come tomorrow to put it under the A/C. Otherwise they did an excellent job. Thanks to Jose, Edwin and Roberto. Thanks also to Bruce who explained to us what we need for our house and the labor contract was outstanding.

Previously we had been told that our AC main-line was backed up and we would need to reroute it to the out side. Twocompanies later, EAC sent out Micholas who took the time to track down the clog. He figured out that the clog was not in the line it self but at the P-trap. Instead of having to spend thousands of dollars we only spent $180. We will be using them again.
