My Central Air & Heat System stopped blowing air to all my vents in my home.I didnt know any contractors in this field of expertise that I could call. So, I decided to goggle for contractors nearby.I read lots of reviews from customers which were listed underneath each contractor. I clicked on the Collin Air Website and after our introductions,I set an appointment for the same day.The Technician showed up in about an hour after I made the call. A very nice young man named Mark knocked on my door. I welcomed Him to my home and explained the problem I was experiencing. Immediately he started working to diagnose the problem. He found a bad relay in my HVAC system.Replaced it after he fetched it from a local vendor. He was a good listener, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.I would gladly recommend him to anyone.

A quick shout out to CollinAir. This morning we woke up and the upstairs felt fine but the downstairs was chilly. The downstairs furnace wasnt working. I went to collinair.com and scheduled a service call for the earliest available time which was Monday morning. I figured we could survive until then. Almost before I could swap to another screen they were calling me to schedule getting someone out here today. The guy was here within a couple of hours and done in less than an hour. We can feel the house warming up. When you call a service guy to your house you never know if theyll take advantage of the situation to charge you a fortune for something you dont really need. My A/C stopped putting out cold air, I called Collin Air. They were able the send a technician the same afternoon. When the tech arrived he began troubleshooting. The tech identified that my capacitor had failed. He had a replacement on his truck and installed it. After restarting my A/C it began putting out cold air. The tech cleaned up the area. We settled the invoice and he went on his way.

We have used Collin Air for years. We couldnt be more pleased with the work they have done from routine checks and maintenance to replacing the entire system. Arrived home from work yesterday and the temperature in the house was 78. The thermostat was set for 74. Called at 4:15 and spoke with Taylor. As always she was incredibly helpful. She sent their technician, Mark, and he arrived within 10 minutes. And Collin also stopped by to check on things as well. The new blower motor was installed in less than 30 minutes and we had cool air. If you are looking for honesty. professionalism, reliable work with experienced technicians and great customer service you will never go wrong with Collin Air.

Collin Air took care of us! We used them based on a recommendation word of mouth. The install went fine until someone stepped accidentally on our interior sprinkler system in our attic in our townhome. Water went in our walls and ceiling down to our downstairs. I guess this had never happened before and was a super rare occurrence. Collin Air paid for all the water restoration, a new ceiling for our kitchen, and new carpeting for our entire upstairs! They were willing to go ahead and pay for it all without making us wait on the insurance stuff. We appreciate being taken care of in a timely manner and confidently can say that they care of their clients. Rest assured if a fluke thing happens to you, you will be taken care of. Collin Air is the best. Andy came by in the morning and explained the work he thought should be done, and I agreed, but I was apprehensive at what the cost would be. Collin emailed me the bid within minutes and it was reasonably priced, so I agreed to the job.Taylor called me to let me know theyd be able to come out THE SAME DAY, and it was already hot outside. Andy, Marc, and Jesse worked in the heat for hours and my home was chilled totally down by the time my family went to bed.This was an awesome experience and they made something that could have been terrible into a normal, everyday business transaction. I called Collin Air Conditioning for 2nd opinion where the last technician told me I have to replace the whole AC Unit compressor that will cost me $4,600. Im laughing as I write this because Jimmy from Collin Air told me it was only a wiring issue, there is no issues he sees after he ran his diagnostics. IF you live in Allen, Plano and generally north Dallas, Collin Air Conditioning should be your designated tech for your AC system. Watch out for others, and Im being nice because the cool is have me in a good mood.

I found Collin Air through the Honey Well Professional HVAC Contractors site and I am so glad I chose them. The technical team Collin and Andy are very knowledgeable and professional. They helped us to control the ventilator directly from Ecobee, the issue that not many people can thoroughly understand. From Taylor and Heather ensuring the calls are answered and updating you throughout the repair process to Jimmy being at the door ready to help with a can do attitude and the skills to back it up! CollinAir won our business over a couple competitors back in 2020. Now in 2023 during the hottest time of the year they are back to help us. As mentioned by others, Collins team goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. They have been servicing our unit for years and its great to see they know you by name when you call again. Service is very quick and very professional. Followed up few days later (due to weather) to come by and check rest of the system and to clean the compressor. Value for product and service is fantastic, and they are VERY good at making strategic recommendation (whats needed now and what is recommended in the future). Its obvious, customer retention is a high priority with these guys and they certainly got a long term customer here.

We had some water damage on the ceiling of one of our rooms. I thought maybe it was a clogged condensate line so I called the company that installed our system a few years ago. They came out and went into the attic to see where the water was coming from. They told me that the condensate drain pan was rusty but it was not rusted through and the problem was not the pan. They also stated that the duct that was directly over the damaged area was intact and was dry. They recommend we have our roof inspected. I wont give that company any exposure by naming them as I will no longer be doing business with them. We contacted our roofer who put a new roof on our house a year ago and he came out to see what he could find. He must have been a collegiate gymnast to get to the duct for a better inspection. He discovered that the insulation on the duct was not properly fastened and water was condensing on the metal ductwork inside the insulation. He also found that the condensate drain pan was brimming over with water and not draining properly. He referred me to Collin Air Conditioning and they were able to fit me in less than 24 hours later. Our techs, Andy and Dylan, were personable and friendly. When the arrived they put covers on their shoes to prevent tracking anything into my house. They found that there was some debris/insulation that had fallen into the drain pan and once removed, the pan drained properly. They then went above and beyond and worked their way to where the damage was so they could be sure they fixed the entire issue. They found what looked like a fist sized tear im the bottom of the duct insulation that was allowing condensation to form on the duct and drop onto my ceiling. Between the overflowing condensate pan and the damaged duct, there was a fairly constant drip coming through my ceiling. They patched up the duct insulation and made sure it sealed properly. I have faith that this is a semi-permanent repair that will get me through the summer. I know I need some duct work replaced and repaired but it can wait till temps cool off and we dont have to use the A/C. My wife and I were so impressed by the professional job and level of efficiency, and communication that Andy and Dylan provided, we went ahead and signed up for a maintenance plan where they come out in spring and fall to make sure everything is in tip top condition. Thank you Collin Air Conditioning! I will be sure to recommend you to anyone I know who needs HVAC service. Im giving 5 stars to them but Id give them 10 if I could!

Collin Air replaced our furnace last February and went above and beyond. The return below the furnace was cluttered and full of dust from the previous owner and they spent 3 hours cleaning and sealing the area below to make sure the air was pulling from a safe and clean return.Not only are the folks at Collin air extremely knowledgeable about their products regarding installation and general system function, their pricing is significantly more realistic than some of the more well known, heavy advertising local AC companies. Trust me, I heavily price shopped before we decide to go with Collin air.About a year after we had the furnace installed, we were having an unrelated air quality issue that ended up being tied to the plumbing. Even though this was not an issue of theirs, Collin at Collin Air came out twice to troubleshoot and not only found the plumbing related issue, but fixed the problem himself so I didn’t have to incur the additional cost of having a plumber come out. Additionally, for all the extra work, he only charged me for the spring AC tune up that they performed without me even having to ask.Highly recommend.

Then a very serious problem occurred that you never want.Around noon it began to feel cooler in the house. Cold air was blowing unheated and system set for heating. I went to thermostat to look at setting and to furnace. I opened door....and gas smell permeated!I immediately shut system and followed gas company directions. I called Collin Air, explained situation. They would have Tech to my home between 1pm-2pm. They arrived by 1:30 and had me relax...at 77, I was a bit more than nervous. Jimmy, who had been here before, took care of everything. Very detailed taking things apart, checking to find gas leaks and making repairs. All while explaining situation clearly.It is so reassuring and calming to have a professional and trustworthy company take care of something so serious.. safely, promptly and competently! They are and have always been open, explanatory, very fair and honest. Things are done corrrectly, rechecked and completed right the first time. I am very comfortable to fully recommend them!♦️Updated: Nov. 16, 2020The Heating Unit began to give an unusual sound and not come on over the weekend. I called and spoke to one of the owners, who is also a Master Tech. Told me to Keep system off, there is no gas odor, and appt set early Monday.Verified appt by text.Called to let me know Tech was 15 minutes out.He arrive on time and with ID, uniform and wearing mask at all time.This company is truly service and professionally oriented.He checked and tested and traced to a faulty capacitor.Replaced..after measurements of new capacitor get correct tolerances. Actually tested the new part Before installation. Did thorough system check, replaced filter and started unit.I have and continue to use Collin Air! Five hours later my house is cool and clean like they were never here (Andy always brings a big vacuum in his truck to clean up after the job is done). Collin Air came out to provide a quote on a new unit, after being told by another company that mine would need to be replaced, and also had a leak. They quickly determined the source of the leak and fixed it, then performed a full tune-up on the unit, indicating the 11 year old system was still in good condition, and probably had another 5 years left. After blowing out the drains, cleaning the condenser, and checking the levels, we were back to having a cool house, and saved thousands if Id taken the recommendation to buy a new unit as suggested by the other company. All of this was performed under their standard tune-up fee. The other company charged a fee just for showing up, and any further work (cleaning the drains, etc.) would have been an additional charge.
