I had an excellent experience with Capitol Cooling! Our upstairs was getting too hot while our downstairs was freezing, and we couldn’t figure out why. We called another company first, but they didn’t even diagnose the issue and never followed up with us. Thankfully, a neighbor recommended Capitol Cooling. They came out, diagnosed the problem, and had our unit fixed within a week. Now, we have a comfortable temperature throughout the house. I highly recommend Capitol Cooling for any HVAC issues – they really know what they’re doing!

Found Capitol Cooling while managing vendors for a national data center company, our experiences with the bigger local HVAC outfits were consistently terrible- huge markups, suspiciously long lead times for parts, and undertrained techs needing multiple attempts to perform a repair.Capitol Cooling was able to perform all of our needed repairs (we have over 50 different units, various manufacturers, totaling over 2000 mechanical tons), without having to make more than one visit, all at a 30-40% cost savings over our contracted vendors.Capitol Cooling is now our company’s contracted vendor for all of our HVAC needs, from maintenance to repairs.They also responded immediately to a family member’s broken home A/C unit early this summer, and worked late into that same Friday evening to make sure it was repaired. We signed up for the reasonably priced quarterly maintenance plan for our home A/Cs as well.If anyone is needing fair, skilled, and proactive HVAC services, 12/10 would recommend Capitol Cooling.There aren’t very many good companies run by good people out there anymore, but this is definitely one of them.

I must admit I was thoroughly impressed with the prompt service provided by Capitol Cooling. Scott came to my apartment with very short notice, and he fixed the issue with the capacitor on my coolant unit. Probably what I liked the most was that Scott took time to explain to me what was going on, and he showed me the pieces he replaced and the damaged capacitor. Its really hard to find people and companies that you can trust these days, but I can honestly say this was one of my best experiences. They swiftly diagnosed the issue and resolved it in no time. I highly recommended them

We have 2 air conditioning units and they both had problems during the very hot summer months. Capital Cooling was very responsive. Both times, Scott carefully analyzed the problem and tried the least expensive solution. If that didnt work, he moved on to more involved solutions but gave me credit for previous work. I feel charge parts and labor to be VERY reasonable. Capital Cooling will always be my first call.

I have now used Capitol Cooling on 2 occasions. Once to have my 36 year old AC fixed and the other for system maintenance on another newer AC unit. Before being referred to Scott, I called a few larger A/C shops and during the intake calls, once I mentioned a 40 year old AC, they automatically went to try and sell me a new unit. I felt like Scott had my best interest in mind, versus trying to upsell me on a bigger issue that could lead to more business for him. I remember thinking, his straightforward approach made me want to give him exclusive business. He was flexible, walked me through my options and did a great job giving me preventative advice to avoid similar issues. Scott was on time and was right to the work after introducing himself in a way that was not only professional but also made my fiancé and her mother feel safe and also didn’t feel like they had to worry about being taken advantage of like other HVAC services in the last which had even asked inappropriate questions after I had left. But by the time I had return Scott had figured out a solution to the problem legitimately saving her over 10k vs what she was told by all the other technicians and he had even stuck around long enough to make sure the unit would successfully reach the thermostat which it did not so he replaced it with a thermostat that he had in his truck from a previous job that was gonna be thrown away but it made everything run more like smoothly and she couldn’t be happier. I could go on about the way he was able to entertain the dogs as well as offering them treats making sure to ask us if they were allowed first. But this guy is a different level of professional and doesn’t try to skip to the end by replacing everything. He really saved the day and we will be recommending him to everyone we know. I really hope this reaches people so anyone looking for a serious pro can stop looking and I suggest you book him now because I don’t see him staying free for long.
