    1/2025 Our heater stopped working the day before it started snowing. The service center was prompt to schedule me for same day service and very professional. Matt came out and was incredibly polite and professional. In 30 minutes he had hot air flowing again. The price was extremely fair.Updated 2/2025:Again my heater stopped working the day of the freeze. ASR answered my call at 7:30 AM & had someone out before lunch. Layne was fantastic and gave me practical, affordable options. He was so knowledgeable and kind.This company is honest and thorough. I can’t recommend enough. Still mom & pop and it shows in the best way!

    I called at 11:06 am on 11/29 the day after Thanksgiving and spoke with Amanda. After giving her my name she verified my address on file and stated a tech would arrive between 2:30 and 3:30 pm. Layne arrived before 2:30 pm. I was kept completely informed of his ETA via text. Texts and emails confirmed everything from the initial call to the final invoice. These guys cannot be beat. They are in Tomball and I am near 290 and the Beltway. This is my second excellent experience with ASR. I won’t call anyone else for A/C and Heat

    If I could give 6 stars I would! Our AC stopped working on Christmas Eve, but it was cool enough outside that it wasn’t a big deal. However, by the 26th, it warmed up and was very uncomfortable in the house for my family, including our two month old son. I called ASR at 8am on the 26th and spoke with Amanda about a same-day appointment. Amanda was exceptional. Knowing that warm houses and newborns don’t mix well, she moved some things around, and Matt, our technician, showed up an hour later. Matt quickly diagnosed the issue, explained my options and repaired the unit within an hour. Matt was knowledgeable and pleasant, and the rates were very reasonable. This was the best experience I have had with an AC repair service by far! Thank you for keeping us cool, ASR!

    Layne came out after we were quoted $17,000 to fix our system by another company. While we do need a new unit for downstairs, we do not need $17,000 worth of work the other company said we needed. Layne was on time, extremely professional and great with my dog that can be leery of men. Being the hectic time it is in December, I forgot to approve of the order to get the ball rolling, and Layne followed up to make sure we get the unit we need before the holidays. I cannot recommend this company enough!

    ASR was recommended to me by family. I have been very impressed by their great customer communication. Michael came out to check some issues I was having with my system. He was polite, very knowledgeable and explained the issues he found in a clear and concise way. I have to say, I have never worked with a more organized service company. I really like that Michael called and let me know when he would be here and he was here when he said he would be. I look forward to working with ASR to fix the issues Hal Watson (who I have used for 2 decades!) has dropped the ball on. I highly recommend ASR Mechanical.

    If you’re looking for a HVAC company who has good honest people working for them then ASR Mechanical is who you need to call.Layne found my wallet that fell out of my jacket at a gas pump in north Houston which contained my police ID plus all my other LE credentials & credit cards. Layne went out of his way to ensure my wallet got back to me by delivering it himself to my house. With being in my line of work I can sometimes forget that there are still good honest people in the world & Layne is a reminder of that.I will definitely keep ASR Mechanical in mind for any HVAC needs.

    David arrived a few minutes early and after listening to me describing the problem, he went right to work. He trouble-shot the problem and decided that that fan was malfunctioning. Since my unit is only 4 yrs old, the replacement parts were installed under warranty. But I did have to pay for labor.David swapped out the parts and everything came back on line. He was polite and professional. I thought that the charge for labor was reasonable. I would recommend ASR to friends.9-23-2024. Met Michael today. He came out to work on my A/C unit. He found three things wrong with it and promptly corrected them. He was very patient and methodical in checking out all of the areas which might cause a problem. Then he sat down with me and patiently explained what he had discovered and how he had corrected them. He was very easy to understand. Then he helped me to install air filters that really needed to be changed. I am very happy with his professional manner and his congenial attitude. He told me what to expect from my unit moving forward and reiterated that if I have any problems to just give him a call. I thought the charge for services rendered was fair and I have already recommended ASR to my friend in Missouri City. (She has already had y’all out). So I would surely recommend this company to my other friends.

    We are very pleased with our experience with ASR. Michael Ford was our service person twice and did a great job. He came out on a Sunday and diagnosed our issue while clearly going over all of our options for repair. He serviced our AC and remedied the issue very efficiently and professionally.     Michael came out and thoroughly diagnosed what was going on with our dehumidifier and dampers. He took video of the problems and proposed the best way to go about fixing the problem and preventing it from happening again by adding some surge protectors. I have used ASR at my previous home for over 15 years and I have always been pleased with their response time, especially in the middle of summer, and their ability to fix any issue we were having. Now they are taking care of things at our new home and aa always I’m impressed with their thoroughness, service and response time. They are truly the best in the business.

    I’ve been extremely happy with this company and have used them consistently since 2015.In 2015, two other companies said I needed a new system. ASR Mechanical determined only the main plumbing pipe/drain needed spliced/replaced due to gunk.I’ve been loyal to them since then. Reliable and very trustworthy. Always quality work.Updating my rating. Still 5 stars!! My attic fan broke and ASR worked closely with the manufacturer of the fan to get it fixed. Fan was under warranty.     Seth and the team are great. Trustworthy, reliable, and true specialists. ASR has been servicing my ac for the last 10 years. We bought a house with a unit from the 80s, and they have kept it running year after year. Not once have they pressured me to replace it, but instead, they have always found ways to keep it running smoothly. This year our old unit did its last season, and the repair cost was going to be close to what a replacement would cost. Seth/Bobby explained this to me and gave me the option. I chose to replace it, and they gave me a great price. Tough to find honest people like this. Keep up to good work and thanks for being someone I can always count on.

    I text ASR very early today, which is July 4, that the air conditioner was not working. They came out an hour earlier than the appointment, which was great for 2 reasons. One, the house started cooling sooner Once the repairs were completed. And two, the attic wouldnt have been as hot for the tech. They saved me!!!

    Called this company based on recommendations in my neighborhood app. Was able to get a prompt service time, and the appointment window was accurate.My ac never came back on after the surge of power after Beryl. Had put off repair because of cost of a new unit, and I have a 2nd central unit that made us almost comfortable with fans. Beto came out and sweated in the attic, up and down until he found the problem. It was the thermostat-a fuse had blown. I know nothing about it, and he could have easily told me that I needed all kinds of work. However, he installed the new thermostat, showed me how to use it, and explained the warranty-all the while staying around to be sure it was working properly.The price was reasonable, and Beto even told me that I could get a thermostat myself for cheaper. I wanted to have air right then, so I took the one he had.I am very pleased with Beto and ASR. This young man was prompt, polite, professional, and apparently well qualified for the job. I will definitely use them for any work needed in the future.

After moving into a new home in 2023 we have struggled for two summers with a/c running all day and night yet still not cooling and very humid indoors with a 5 year old Trane unit. Had multiple hvac companies out who suggested to replace multiple parts that MIGHT help (which it did not because they were truly clueless on what the issue was) wasted a whole lot of money on diagnostic calls/repairs and astronomically high energy bills just to still be uncomfortable. We finally decided to give up and just buy a new unit. ASR was highly recommended by multiple people, so we had them out to Quote a new unit install and they told us right away what the issue was, and how to repair it and we are now enjoying a nice cool and comfortable home without having to install a new unit. They could have sold us a new unit but chose to be honest and correct what we already had in place since it’s only 5 years old and still has 5 more years on the warranty. So many hvac techs out there don’t even know the basics of how hvac works, so they can’t even begin to know how to repair them, they only want to sell new units whenever they can. Seems to be so many scam companies in this industry. You won’t find that with ASR. I am also appreciative of and impressed with the follow up from them after the repair, to make sure everything is working properly and we are comfortable.

When you call them, they answer, they stick to their appointment times, and never try to sell me something I dont need. They give me options and answer my questions!     Our “go to” a/c & heating company for over 15 years. Always responsive to our calls! 12 years ago we had our A/c go out in our second house in Galveston on the weekend. They were there within 3 hrs and we slept in a cool house that night. Last week our a/c went out here in Houston and ASR came out and did their magic. They have always been fair, reliable and professional. Cannot recommend ASR enough!!!

    My A/C started making loud metal on metal type noises so loud my neighbor texted to let me know. I called ASR immediately and they started taking my information. Then to my surprise the customer service agent apologized...it would be an hour and a half before someone could get to me. Its was the last week of August and I am certain air conditioners were failing all over Houston. So...to only have to wait 1.5 hours for a tech to arrive was amazing. I shared a video with sound of the issue and when the tech arrived he confirmed what needed repair and had the part on his truck. ONLY CALL ASR MECHANINCAL if you are looking for amazing, efficient and effective A/C repair. I had cool air blowing again in the house in less than 2.5 hours after identifying the issue.     First experience was an emergency situation a few years ago... No AC in late August, patient on oxygen... Called our usual AC folks late Saturday night, no answer. Based on FB responses, called ASR, they showed up early Sunday and fixed the problem 24 hours before the other company even called back! ASR has been our go-to ever since. The techs are great, always on time, answer questions and explain everything, dont try to upsell. The company is receptive, honest, reasonably priced and locally owned. Highly recommend ASR!

    My A/C for the bedrooms was not able to cool the floor down. I called ASR and they came out the next day. They couldnt find the leak, but filled the a/c with refrigerant and a leak detector. I Called back two days later and said the same problem was occurring. They came right out and found the leak thanks to what the dye they injected into the system. They came out the next day and replaced the evaporative coil. Back to normal. Not sure how it could have been any faster. Ive used ASR for 26 years for my heating and cooling needs and probably will continue to do so as long as I own my home.

    My AC was cutting off and on in the middle of the heat wave and I messaged Seth, and it was after hours at that, but when your AC is wonky in a Houston heat wave, you dont care what time it is. He messaged back in less than a couple of hours and a member of his team called me back that evening and I was scheduled the very next day. Now heres the thing, they could have told me anything and I would have believed it and said, Do it! Fix it! I dont care. I just need AC, but instead they told me my AC was working okay and I should probably look at getting the breaker replaced which they said shouldnt cost too much and I only ended up having to pay a very reasonable diagnostic fee. It did end up being the breaker and the fix wasnt very expensive. You gotta appreciate honesty in the Houston AC repair business. I also previously used Seth a few years ago. Now last time I was a little embarrassed because he actually showed me what the bargain AC guy I had used prior to him had done and why it was wrong. And just like this time, Seth was fast to respond and efficient, and got the job done right!

    My outside unit stopped working so I called around a few of the big places…then I called these guys and they had much better customer service and by far more knowledge. They came out quick and did a great job replacing the unit. Best part was they were about 20% less than the other companies I called.Super friendly and very reasonable. They even helped me out with replacing an old junky thermostat with a fancy new one.
