I cant give Alex enough credit! Hes an incredibly reliable and skilled maintenance man who always goes above and beyond. Whether its fixing a leak, repairing appliances, or handling unexpected issues, he tackles every job with professionalism and efficiency. His attention to detail is impressive, and he’s always quick to respond to any request, no matter how big or small. On top of that, Alex is friendly, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend him for any maintenance needs — hes truly a standout!

I’m so pleased with the maintenance team. I had an issue with my stove while trying to cook dinner. Alfredo came right out and fixed it for me. I really appreciate him for doing that! He was so nice and understanding.

My A/C went out today, on a Sunday, late evening. I placed an emergency call and Alfredo arrived within the hour. He was so polite, replaced my thermostat, and everything is as good as new. He didnt seem bothered to be called in either. He was nice, and resolved the issue so quickly.I have no complaints at all. I recommend the Oaks. Its a great place to live.

I want to thank Sonya for promptly taking care of this issue. The repair was not inside my apartment unit, but rather the interior hallway door. Me and other residents had reported the hallway door banging loudly when opened and closed. This issue had been reported to another staff member and yet continued for over a week. When I explained my frustration to Sonya, she immediately got maintenance on the issue, and it was resolved quickly.

The staff from the office to the maintenance is phenomenal. Never takes long for my services request and very resourceful. Different layouts with many different options. The community that surrounds the apartments are amazing and family and children friendly. The complex helps make the fur babies community of feel at home. My mother has been here for many years and now were neighbors. Tried leaving and came back due to the fact that there isnt a complex like Oaks 5th St Crossing.

Mostly a good experience. Ive been here since City Center opened in 2015. Maintenance has been good and timely. Office staff has been pretty accommodating. Im happy with Oaks City Center. Good for access to the whole downtown Garland area. Great transportation options.

We have lived at Oaks 5th Street Crossing since June, 2015. It has been a great experience, starting with the immaculate facilities, the very attentive staff (leasing office, as well as maintenance personnel), and overall environment. We have always felt safe at all hours, and would highly recommend this community to all prospective tenants.

I’ve been looking at multiple properties to figure out which complex I’d want to settle with, and Perla assisted with giving me a walk-in tour. After seeing the unit and comparing to similar unrelated apartments, I decided to go forward with Oaks 5th because Perla is just THAT great. From our initial interaction to her closely working with me to get my application approved and getting my ESAs sorted, she had always been on top of it. The neighborhood, community amenities, and mainly the caring attention received from Perla has me stuck on wanting to live here. I’m looking forward to a great experience living at Oaks 5th.

I lived here for a year and i absolutely loved it SO much. I was so very sad the day I had to move. Just for others to know i moved into my boyfriends place and that is the ONLY reason or I wouldve stayed forever. I was not coerced or asked to make this review btw either. The staff is very friendly and the apartment never gave me any kind of maintenance issues. They keep the pool in perfect condition all year long and offer so many awesome activities for residents. Donnell works in the office and he always made sure i was taken care of. He was diligent and professional which goes a long way in apartment complexes. I am a single mother of two children and it was an affordable yet safe place to call home for the short time we were there. All of the neighbors were also so very kind and helped out each other. If i ever have to look again I will be coming back home :)

I just signed my second lease in June and I signed it for a reason. I love these apartments and Ive never had any major problems. I had one small problem where my key was not working for my door and they fixed it with no problem. The only things I dislike about the apartments is the garage because its so small and other residents drive as if its big and sometimes the remotes dont work for the doors. I have no problem with the noises from the train because I know this is where I chose to live and I know how to tune it out. The staff always do what they can and I have no problem with that. Some of these reviews are really bogus.

Lived here three years and never had any issues. Maintenance requests handled promptly. Wonderful location with short walks to Garland Town Square, Dart , Library and Performance Arts Center. Apartments insulated well - low utility bills and quiet.

They say we are all the hero of our own story. I read these reviews and I must say the negative ones are unfair, unrealistic and somewhat vindictive.I have lived at Oaks City Center since it opened on May 1, 2015. The thing we have to remember is this is not a group of custom homes or ultra luxury apartments. There are over 200 tenants here and for the most part we are satisfied. Stuff happens, good and bad. But the key is how problems are managed and the timeliness of the response.Oaks staff, from the corporate assistant director to the junior-most maintenance professional have been fair and responsive to my problems and complaints. It is important to consider if we have exhausted all avenues, especially clear communication, before taking things public. That has worked well for me with positive results.Recently we got a fantastic new manager. I was so impressed to see her one Monday morning meeting with her staff to discuss the events and challenges of the weekend and the coming week. I hadnt seen that happen before that day.I will move this month to an active senior facility. I will miss this place, and I can only hope that the staff at the new place meets the standards I have experienced at Oaks.Perfect? No, but for the money, convenience and safety (last night around 10:00 pm, I saw a deputy marshal get out of his patrol car and inspect all the stairwells and garage common areas), I would move back without hesitation.Thank you Angie, Teena, Chelsea, Brian, James, Alfredo and the maintenance staff for making my stay a pleasant one. You deserve more compliments for what you do right each day rather than frivolous complaints.Gloria Register

Ive live here for two and a half years, I just renewed my lease for another year. When I moved to the apartments I was looking for safety and public transportation. And ended up with all that and friends. Chelsea goeas above and beyond to make things easier, and to keep everyone happy... She is great at what she does and has a heart of gold. I am more than happy here, Thank you guys I definitely call this home.

I just happily signed my second year lease at the City Center location specifically. My first year here was to try the location and property out. Through that first year I did have a few occasions when I needed to reach out to the the office staff to help with a few issues. I can say 100%, that Chelsey and the office and maintenance team were always quick to respond and help resolve any questions or issues that I had.As a renter, there are tons of options and properties out there. No property is perfect but what I do know for sure is that the people of the property, the office support team, is what makes all the difference in the world. I signed up for a second year, into a larger unit, with a huge smile and excitement to this next chapter. Thank you Chelsey and team for everything that you do.

I lived at Oaks 5th Steet Crossing for 1 year (May 2018 - May 2019) and loved it. The apartment was clean and modern with big open spaces. The staff was courteous and always helpful. The parking garage always had plenty of space and I loved being able to walk down to the Garland square whenever I wanted for farmers markets and barbecue. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment complex for those that can afford it.

The staff at this complex are amazing! Everyone who answers the phone is always kind an cherful. After being burned by previous complexes, ww were very aprehensive about moving but Niki Took the time to walk us through several different units multiple times and explain everything to us in detail. She really went above and byond to work with us and take care of us every step of the way and when we signed our lease, she didnt stop with her attentiveness she remained in contact to make sure that everything worked out exactly the way we wanted and needed it to. The most comforting part was that she kept us up to date every step of the way. Everyone we came in contact with really seems to sincerley care and they definitly went above and beyond for us! Thanks to Niki and all the staff at Oaks 5th, for making this the least stressful situation possible and for being people who genuinly care!!! We cant wait to move in!

I have been here starting my 6th year. There have been 4 managers not counting people from Corporate Minnesota and about 15 assistant manager. The present manager Teena is a very quiet lady and you want that, you do not want a manager, who is always harassing you. the assistant manager Chelsey is a great person to deal with and helps everyone out the best she can. Chelsey helped me get a 2 bedroom apt that I had been waiting 3 years for. She and Teena made sure I had it and have let me rent both apts. until I am completely moved in. The prior manager was a jerk and I never saw him in the office only Chelsey. Teena and Chelsey care about their tenants safety and concerns. The prior manager did not. I had my car stolen, and my second car broken in twice and it was the same old response not our fault, not our responsibility. his response was always called the police. As the manager you think he would have taken further steps, to ensure the tenants safety. he was there to draw a check and did not really want to be there as he always stated he wanted to go back to Ft. Worth. Teena lives there and I have seen her walk the grounds in the evening and weekends. She cares because she has made a commitment besides being the manager she is also a tenant. Chelsey assists you always in a timely manner. The two young guys I do not know well but they are always pleasant and polite and helpful. I recommend on living there and if not i would have moved to the new ones down the street. in all places there are idiots where you live because the world has alot them so you have to take the good with the bad.So if you need a place to live please go see Chelsey and Teena.

This place isnt bad at all. Shops nearby are pretty cool, train is nearby so I dont waste gas, its pretty quiet since its really only couples, elderly, and some people by themselves who live here. Not any terrible pet issues around here and the environment seems pretty safe and chill. These are some good apartments and can get pretty cheap depending on what your looking for. Keep yourself clean, follow the few procedures they have here, and dont go looking for trouble and you should be fine here honestly. I like it alot.

Honestly most of the people underneath seem to complain just to complain. From what i found this place has been great. Staff is prompt, plenty of garage space. The apartment upon move in was clean and everything was pretty straight forward. I understood my lease . Tbh its been a good experience i dont have any complaints. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that i cant smoke in my apartment....but HEY!...Smoking is bad for you so i guess it works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oaks 5th Street in Garland is a great place to live. Theres so much to do just outside of your door. The property is well kept and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Its also a quiet place to live, I rarely ever hear my neighbors or hallway traffic.
