    For a 55+ senior community, some things are just not user friendly:1. Gym apparatus is not at all user friendly, it is too high to step uo on to the treadmill and the handles should extend all the way to the end of the treadmill. they do sell them like that. also the bicycle does not work well for short people. Even when it is all the way in the most forward position i can still barely reach the pedals. Also, the back rest is too hard, not cushioned at all and it really hurts the back. the hard surface actually seems to protrude most at the spinal area and is really painful.2. Even before i started using a walker, the tension on my entry door made it almost impossible to bring my groceries in to the apartment, or even bring furniture in when i moved in. When I started using my walker full time i found it so frustrating to et in and out of my apartment. I finally asked maintenance if they could adjust the tension. and they could! I was such a happy camper when i heard that! I had them remove all the tension and most my door stays open until i close it. It is just great. I think Mariposa should send out a notice to ALL tenants that this can be done; Im sure probably 90% of them dont know this.3. There is such an abundance of dead trees all over the campus, on the road coming in from 528, the entrance of Mariposa, the center pavilion park area, etc. it really is tacky looking. Bonner Carrington did not seem to care, but being in the real estate business im sure Dominium know the term delayed maintenance and recognized that thats what has been happening here at Mariposa for a while now and hopefully is going forward with a plan to correct this sad first Impression of Marioposa.4. Kudos to all of the Mariposa staff, they are wonderful! Warm and friendly, quick to respond to any requests. and a pleasure to work with.Thanks so much for listening

    I have lived in my apartment home since February 2019. I plan to live here until I no longer can live here. I give MCC 5 STARS because it is a great place to live in an apartment, if you are over 55 years of age. It is beautiful, safe, has great amenities and wonderful neighbor/friends. We have community social gatherings for trips, exercise, crafts, games, potlucks, and parties celebrating holidays and special events lead by a great team. We also have great prayer warriors and weekly Bible Study meetings.

    The reason I chose 3 stars is because maintenance requests are being completed without anything being done. Also, I have lived here since the complex opened, almost 6 years now., the landscaping is atrocious - trees are dead, the rose garden has only had 2 rose bushes since the first year I lived here. The landscaping company taking care of the the property are creating deep ruts in the turf because they are speeding through their visits with the mowers after every rain and after sprinklers have completed their cycle(s). Nothing is being replaced once dead ; the property is looking like management no longer cares about how it looks any longer.

    My apartment, quiet with a great patio, community activities - pot lucks, games, beautiful library, have never meet any really disagreeable people, most favorite thing - Kacy in the office and our new manager Alex. Its not a perfect place but it is a great place to live!Rosie Oliver #2107

    The upkeep at Mariposa is phenomenal, all the employees are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable & patient. The amenities, events & gatherings available for residents are tremendous. I am proud to be a resident!

    I moved here in Feb 2019 shortly after my husband passed away.I have always felt safe and love it here. I would have given a rating of 5 until lately. My first and biggest complaint is the fact that we are being forced to pay our rent electronically and I absolutely hate the idea of a digital calendar. I feel residents will miss a lot of the events because they forget to check it.(me for one). My second complaint is the entrance to bldg 2 from the parking area. It has not been kept up at all from the very beginning the rose bushes just have more and more dead branches every year and now there is a tree (Chinese tallow)growing in the bed to the right as you enter the building. It is an eyesore. This is the entrance family and friends come in when they visit and it’s embarrassing. This is my home I want to be proud of it.

    It has an excellent Apartment Life hostess. The grounds are well kept. The maintenance personnel are excellent and responsive if you experience any small problems. The couple of things a person seeking an apartment homme might note is that you are required to dispose of your own trash in outside dumpsters and the hallways are open to outside temperatures.

    Senior apt homes, nice atmosphere, reasonable priced, large Apts. Gas stove, furnace, & water heater, keeps energy down. It’s like an area of 2100 Memorial drive, but located far north, of all the hustle and bustle of Dwtn Houston. Prefer the peace, quiet, less construction dust. Many amenities and functions. Everything is located closer here than at 2100. Already made 2 friends.

    Very nice and new, property for 55+ people. So many amenities and they have Apts that are income based. Absolutely beautiful property. The office staff and maintenance people are experienced and so helpful!
