Great experience, very friendly and fast! Raul took the time to offer a good price and frustration free experience on a complete replacement of a stolen catalytic converter and O2 sensor. This is a one if a kind place. Raul was caring and concerned and most of all very honest with me. I had a bad experience with another place and my car needed much help. I am a local here and this place is a Godsend. My 10 year old Acura TL needed extensive work done. The car would not turn on after several days of not driving it (they found out it was an electrical problem and fixed it), needed new timing belt, oil leak in 3 different places, needed new starter motor, needed new AC compressor. The manager is Raul and my main mechanic was Victor and boy were they patient with me when I was stressed out, especially when they dropped my motor to fix my bad oil leaks and fix my timing belt. They REALLY EDUCATE and reassure you that your car is in good hands. They will sometimes even take you to the back if you still do not know why or what is being done to your car and in the end, with a little patients. my car was done better than my expectations and I have no complaints. Mayco is a one stop shop for troubleshooting most car issues including body work. Customer service was impeccable (including Laura- front desk) and now I can drive my baby for another 10+ years! I HIGHLY recommend them to all.

Once again, Raul and the team at my local Mayco Car Care & Muffler (1639 Gessner Dr.) has gone above and beyond my expectations. About a year ago my speed/wheel sensor notified me of an issue. I had these guys do the diagnostics and they quickly found that there was no issue with the sensor itself, but instead a more serious issue with the bearings on the wheel. To prove their point they brought me in to the shop and showed me how the wheel was loose. I had them perform the repair as their price was fair (and MUCH less than the dealer quote). They replaced the whole assembly which included bearings and a new sensor. Well, here I am only a year later with the same sensor alert. The guys investigated and it turned out to be the same issue with the new part. Raul who runs the front office said I need to not worry as the part was still under warranty. They honored the warranty and replaced it all once again (which was no easy task). I didn’t have to pay a dime the 2nd time around (not even the computer diagnostics). These guys are honest and professional. And by the way, they provide all sorts of car care services. I’ve gone to them for years for my exhaust work, but now I know I can come to them for all my car care. Thanks Mayco!

I was referred here by a friend, and I will now refer everyone I know to go here. I have never received this level of caring customer service from any other business. To say that Raul went above and beyond is an understatement.I originally took my car into the dealership for a 4WD issue. They said the part was on a 6 month back order and the safest option was to trade it in before it led to a transmission issue.I wanted to get a second opinion and my friend told me to take it to Mayco. I explained my situation to Raul and he immediately spent the next 30 mins calling every shop he knew before eventually finding me a replacement part. They had the repair done by the next afternoon and Raul even stayed 15 mins late so I could make it over there and pick it up!I will be taking my car to Mayco for everything from now on.

These guys are great. I had been to the dealer 3 times and still had a slow water leak. They put the time in and found it and fixed it. They send pictures and explain before doing any repairs. They are also honest. They fix what needs to be fixed, ask if you had a warranty somewhere else, and let you know if you have life left in your tires instead of selling you on them. Hard to find. They are a keeper.

Wow this place is awesome! I wanted to change out my exhaust system and get a deeper sound. I called a week in advance to get some quotes and ask question. The customer service was amazing. When i finally went to the shop they did not disappoint. They immediately put my truck on the lift to check out my exhaust system and to point out any problems. Once the check was complete they went right into upgrading my exhaust system and came to ask me questions to make sure they get it exactly how i wanted. Needless to say my truck sounds amazing! I highly recommend Mayco for any of your exhaust needs.

Raul was an amazing help! I came in for an alignment and with the advanced Hunter machinery they have were able to get to the root of my alignment and tire issues. They showed me a high definition digital image of what was causing the issue and gave me multiple options on fixing the problem. Reasonable pricing and amazing communication. They also topped off my fluids for free and provided me with coupons to return as well as free roadside assistance for 1 year. I had a problem with my car pulling to the right and needed an alignment. I went to Mayco and Im so glad I did. They showed me my tie rods and stabilizer links were bent and needed replacing before doing an alignment. Expensive! But prices were transparent and discussed up front. Raul is a very active and hands-on owner. He walked me through step by step everything that was being done to my 2016 Jeep GC, he even let me walk in the garage several times. Raul is very knowledgeable on automotives and it clearly is his passion. Mayco got my Jeep up and running better than it has in 2 years. Wait time all together was about 7-8 hours( not bad). I would definitely recommend this place but don’t expect it to be cheap on your wallet , but in general you get what you pay for.

These guys were phenomenal. Fantastic customer service. After another mechanic told me he wouldn’t work on my Jeep because the computer was giving too many codes, Mayco quickly eliminated all codes but two. They were determined to figure out the root of the problem for me and found that the remaining two codes the computer were getting were not really accurate. They took the time to find the real problem; something mechanical that could not be accurately identified from computer codes, and found a solution. They didn’t charge me for the time it took to figure all of this out, nor did they charge me for the first steps they took to eliminate computer codes as that original problem was actually caused by the mechanical problem they found. Will be back when I need service in the future. Highly recommend!

I had been on a road trip from Portland to Florida, and back across the southern states. I was passing through Houston and my car broke down, so I googled mechanics nearby and found Mayco Car Care & Muffler. Im so grateful I was so close to them and they helped me out. I was so overwhelmed with all of the stress and ended up crying, and some of them took the time to talk to me and make me laugh, which really helped. Even when thing after thing had gone wrong with my car, they were so patient with thoroughly explaining what happened so that I understood, and made me feel educated on my options to make the best decision moving forward. They waked me to the bay where my car was being worked on so that I could physically see and understand the issues, which I thought was really special. They even stuck around a few hours after closing to finish the work on my car to get me back on the road!These folks here are angels on Earth, I am so appreciative that they were so kind and generous to me. I will always recommend them to anyone who needs a friendly, fair place to go for work done on their car. You can see the passion for the business from the owner and through each and every employee, I know they are going to become more and more successful with kindness and expertise like theirs! I came here because they had good reviews. All of the employees were very nice and professional. Raul the owner gave us 2 hours of his time and explained to us in detail about the problems we had, he is very knowledgeable about cars he gave us a lot of info. No one tried to sell us any extra services like most places. They even paid for my uber to go pick up my car for free. And they waived the $71 fee i had left to pay so that was very nice because i am a single mom on a fixed income which is very little a month and they work with you and you can even make payments on the services they provide if you cant pay everything all at once. Raul did a free thorough inspection of my car which would have cost $25 and he let me know that i had an oil leak which they did not tell me when i took it to this other place to get the oil change. They seem like very honest people and very professional. I will be coming back in the future for other repairs.

First of all when I called to inquire about getting some work done on my vehicle. I was spoken to with a matter of concern and helpfulness. They even made arrangements for me to be towed there. Mayo closes at 6 but I arrived at 5:59. They stayed to get me checked in and even arranged for me an Uber home. The next morning I was called with an estimate and the work was done by 11 a.m. No one likes going in to get repairs done on their vehicle but this was the best experience I have had. The whole staff was nice and respectful from the owner to the receptionist to the mechanics. Not looking forward to any more repairs but if or when I do I will definitely use Mayco Car Care and Muffler at 1639 Gessner.

I’ve personally know Raul himself. He knows what he’s talking about and his main focus is preventative maintenance. Yeah you’ll spend money on work that needs to be done but they will be worth it in the long run. I’ve known him and have had my car serviced with him for quite some time and he give honest feedback about your car. I came in recently for an alignment job and Raul gave sufficient feedback on why my tires had been worn out and gave me a print out and explained in depth of what was really going on. He then directed me to go at Mayco on Bissonnet but I missed my direction and ended at this location. Some thieves came by late last night after I got home from work around 9:30 pm last night. They cut the catalytic converters and sensors off! I found out when I started it and it sounded like grenades. (This is the 2nd time.) I called Mayco today and explained the problem. They informed me that they had my parts in stock and could get me taken care of today. I came in and all the staff were friendly. I had to wait a bit cause they were busy but once they were done my check engine light was gone and my exhaust was quiet like it was again! The welds look as they should. I had issues getting my car to pass inspection and was ripped off by the jiffy lube nextdoor on top of other shops that wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Aka Tri Star auto care on Hammerly was the worst. It took some time to figure out everything on my truck but Mayco did.
