Kyle from ABC did a fantastic job of evaluating my HVAC system today. Never had such a thorough job done before. Usually only some of the boxes are filled in on checklist but he filled in every box with details. While he was here he thoroughly evaluated heating, emergency heating, and AC on both my units. He also did not try to sell me any additional service which I much appreciated. Plus he mentioned that capacitors on both of my units were barely within range and would probably need to be changed out in the spring. He mentioned a ballpark price to replace the capacitors which was lower than I expected. Actually below average price on Google which was a pleasant surprise. He even thoroughly cleaned outside units. Impressive job!!

I strongly recommend the HVAC Department at ABC and the importance of having a maintenance agreement to prevent problems. Brennan Miranda was the technician who came for our system checkup today. He is professional, knowledgeable, personable, and had good suggestions for a money-saving solution. We have had an ABC maintenance agreement for many years, and all their techs are great. I like that they can look back at the history of our two units and what repairs/part replacements have been done in the past.

Charles provided professional service and provided me with knowledge on my thermostat. He explained then showed the benefits the unit/ thermostat can provide and then set it up the WiFi and remote access for me. He showed how user friendly the system is. He went above his responsibility and let me know that I might have another issue concerning my water heater that I would have otherwise not been aware of, I truly appreciate that kind of customer service.

I had planned on cancelling ABC because of scheduling problems. Kyle is the reason I extended my service contract. Someone better give him a bonus (and a raise).

Until recently, Ive had mixed experiences with ABC since they installed a new Lennox HVAC system 3 years ago. Some of the technicians have been dismissive and downright rude, so much as saying that I could not have experienced what I claimed to have experienced with my system.Every month or two the display showed a “communication error” message, which sounded like a problem with the wifi connection between the display and the hub, but it usually went away after power-cycling the unit a time or two. I even had both the display and the hub replaced at one point. This continued for the entire 3 years Ive had the unit.Last night, after having the gas line beneath my house completely replaced for unrelated reasons, the gas furnace would not come on and stay on. Today, just about 1/2 hour after I called ABC, Cade came to see what was up. After running some diagnostics, he crawled under my house and found that a varmint had chewed the insulation off some wires. Also, he found 2 splices in the wires that other technician(s) had made, which he said were probably additional contributors to the communication errors Ive been having all along. I had him replace the wiring under my house that goes to the outside unit, and Im back in business!Cade is my hero on this cold January day!

I called ABC and decided to go with the extra $$ for after-hours service. Lucky for us! Both the office and Joyner G, our tech, notified us when he was on his way. While en route, he took my call and helped me do a price check on a part and reminded me to check if our unit was registered with a warranty. I really appreciated that he showed me the broken and new parts, suggested I take a photo of it installed and walked me through the diagnostics process—all while working. I’m much smarter and know what to watch for in the future. Joyner is a few years into his profession but more senior techs could learn from his customer service approach. We could not have had a better experience.👏🏆 And the house is already cool!❄️ Thank you, Joyner!

Billy did a first class job of routine maintenance on our two systems. Cleaned, analyzed and tested heaters and AC units outside as well. Unpluged drain on main AC unit upstairs (compressed air plus chemical rinse out). Would welcome him back next time for sure.

Kim gave us a fast response and evaluation of our AC. A replacement motor was found for our blower quickly and we had a working AC before it got hot the next day. Kim was professional and courteous. He made sure that we understood every aspect of our problem. While fixing the motor he found a clinoid that was weak and about to fail. Kim replaced it, saving us lots of money. Additionally, he offered us an ABC preventive maintenance program that will catch future issues and extend the life of our AC. The program also gives us credit toward a replacement system, when the time comes. I highly recommend Kim and ABC for all home issues.

I TRUST THIS COMPANY! I am so glad to have gotten a second bid with Joel and Angela at ABC! Another person had told me the cost for repair was $4000 and maybe I should get another unit because it was too small for the upstairs. Angela let me know the size just right and that it shouldn’t be necessary to replace a 4 yr. unit. Joel came and diagnosed the problem, and it was around $500 to fix! They were professional throughout the process! On time, fast turnaround, polite, helpful, and knowledgeable.

9.10.24Charles with ABC Home and Commercial Services HVAC was at my home this morning for my Fall/Winter Preventive Maintenance service. He came in and explained what he’d be doing. Once he had the furnace pushing warm air he checked the unit and everything was good. He replaced the air filter for me and took the old one away with him. Then when he turned the thermostat back to cooling, he went to the outside unit to check those parts and all were functioning properly. I appreciate the diligence of Charles and have let my neighbors that are asking about HVAC that I am pleased with the business I’ve had with ABC.5.16.24Jake with ABC Home and Commercial Services took care of our Spring/Summer Preventive Maintenance Service this morning. Very professional, on time and very courteous. Goes into detail and did a great job. I thought the cost via Costco might be less but it is expensive. The installation went well. The condenser unit was found to be slightly damaged. Dustin the lead tech. called me showed to me that they will install it for now so that we are not without AC and will replace it as soon as they get a new unit. I told him if they can find another in next 24 hours no need to install this and that I can wait for a new one. They did find another undamaged unit and the AC was installed and started by 05:00 pm. Thanks for good work Now waiting for City inspector and the Quality check by ABC

Frank is a senior HVAC technician @ ABC Home & Commercial Services. After performing my fall system checkup, he recommended I consider replacing my outdoor condenser fan motor in the near future. From his long experience, he had found that outdoor fan motors on older systems like mine with significant rust tended to fail within a short period of time. He replaced the motor today.I do a lot of business with ABC because I trust the company and their people. I have found them to be experts in their fields, reliable, and trustworthy.

I would highly recommend signing up for the preventative maintenance AC service. My unit was running all day, though it was just the 105 degree days, Justin came out for my check, unit was low on refrigerant, he charged it up, now my AC unit is cycling on and off during these 100+ degree days like it should. The monthly cost for this service far outweighs the cost of installing a new unit. As a marine mechanic I see a lot of small issues become major issues because they were not caught early. Don’t let your AC become a major issue, sign up and have it checked twice a year, you will save a lot of money and your unit will last longer.

Marc (technician) did a great job replacing our iComfort thermostat, was also great in setting it up and explaining the functions. My five star rating is relating to his work.If I were to give a rating to ABC Home & Commercial, their HVAC Department, and Lennox HVAC systems, that would be very different on several levels.First, we paid a premium for a Lennox system, expecting it to last. Our fault, but we also assumed that a 10-year warranty covered everything. Turns out labor is not covered. No idea if that is standard in the industry. I do know it’s really frustrating because in the 3-4 years we’ve had the system we’ve had to replace the condenser fan and now the iComfort thermostat. Both parts were covered under warranty, but we’ve racked up almost $800 in labor charges. Would have been more if I hadn’t argued being charged their hourly labor rate for a tech to go pick up the fan. I guess I just feel like paying over $10k for a Lennox system should have given us something more reliable than this one has been so far, and that plus participating in ABC’s annual maintenance program should have meant I wouldn’t have incurred almost 10% of the system’s cost in labor to replace parts under warranty. The maintenance program did get us 10% off the labor costs, so we could have been into it for even more labor costs otherwise.Second, Marc initially came out yesterday but didn’t have the part (replacement thermostat), so had to return today. Not his fault, because he didn’t get assigned our job until yesterday afternoon. Here is my problem...I made it ABUNDANTLY clear that the issue was with the thermostat when I first called. Seems like ABC would at least ensure the tech they send to a job involving a thermostat problem would have a replacement thermostat. Not doing so required their tech to make two trips to our home, but also cost us two days worth of time in having to be home.There’s some other things involved, but those are my major comments. Ratings? Marc definitely gets 5 Stars. Lennox...when the system works, 5 stars, but we’ve had two failures in less than four years, 0 stars, for a net of 2.5 Stars. ABC? Hard to nail down since I don’t know about the labor charges under warranty thing. As it stands, 2.5 Stars, but could go up or down as I learn more.

Randall was wonderful. He diagnosed the issue with our furnace and was able to remove the large mud dauber nest and get our heat working again. It was such a relief to have his knowledge and expertise as he was able to clean out the clog and we did not have to replace any parts as with the supply chain issues right now, we would have been in big trouble waiting for months on end. They are timely in providing a scheduling reminder, always providing arrival options and a call prior to the the service technician arrives. My central air unit, after four years of no maintenance, had a serious refrigerant issue. ABC had great reviews, and after our appointment with them it turns out they really are great. They set up an appointment with me ASAP. Caleb the technician was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the issues and gave me several options. He clearly knew what he was talking about, because he was able to explain it to me in a way that made sense. Not the obvious gibberish Ive gotten from far less honest companies. In the end, I feel confident my AC unit will be good as new in no time, and I learned a little about HVAC along the way.

Our tenant called and stated the HVAC (Heat Pump) was alarming for Please service now! and Charles V came through. I assumed that they were not changing the filter as directed so I called ABC Home and Commercial for an Annual Service PM on the unit. They were booked up, but since I have been using them on other projects for years now, they asked if one of the technicians could fit me in on the following Monday. Charles V answered the call. He stopped in at the end of the day Monday and assessed that the unit had not been getting the filter changed and the blower motor had failed. Charles located the replacement blower and called with the quote to repair. He managed to pick up the part that evening and returned the next day to installed the new motor, and blower cage, finish the annual PM and clean the coils. Since I am out of town, I asked if he could send pictures and he sent before and after pictures of the cleaning and motor. A step above, in my opinion. Thanks again Charles and ABC!

In winter 2018 we needed a new AC/furnace unit and heat pump. ABC gave us a fair price for the total package. We needed a minor adjustment to the system after installation and they quickly took care of it as it was part of the entire cost.This week our AC went out and we had no idea why. ABC sent someone over quickly and we discovered that the AC/furnace was not receiving power. Thankfully we had a secondary electrical line running to the unit, so the technician was able to quickly make the repair. We’ve had other repairs and replacements if household items (water heater, plumbing issues, etc.) and while they don’t always get our business, we do always call them for a bid because they are so honest and the work is of great quality.

Over the years I have used ABC to do many things in my homes. They have performed new plumbing installation, gas pipe moves, dry wall repair and texturing, second floor windows being resealed, minor HVAC service and now major HVAC repair when my air conditioner compressor blew out.I will always call them on items that I do not take care of myself. Probably not the lowest cost in the industry (although they could be) but they are always available when I need them, on time, reliable, curious, and the quality of work they do is top of the line. I would have done much of what I call them for when I was younger or what I need is beyond what I want to attempt and be safe about it. They are my first call for just about all of my home repair and minor remodel services.
