    Matt and his team were amazing! They got me in quick for a no cost evaluation of my vehicle after I had a bad experience with another shop. I was coming to them for a second opinion. They came back with a more comprehensive review of my vehicle’s issues and let me know all of my options/solutions without me having to ask. They met every timeline they stated to me and were very communicative throughout the entire process, so I was never guessing where things were at.Would recommend them to anyone needing car repairs!     Great honest people that keep you updated and are easy to relate to and understand. My car started making a very occasional stutter when I pushed the gas. They weren’t able to recreate it the first time because it is so infrequent so they offered to have another tech try again the next day. I super appreciate them taking their time and being so thorough. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who might have transmission issues. Thanks to Matt who explained things in detail.

    Awesome job! Thanks Matt and crew. I thought it was my transmission because it felt like it was slipping but it turned out to be the coil. Matt was honest, and very knowledgeable. He took the time and checked out the work previously done on my truck. No other shop had ever done that. The problem was diagnosed and fixed at a very reasonable price.     For the first time in my life (and it has been loong) I had my 2017 Silverado inoperable, towed to Aamco Round Rock. The moment I walked in, the office, Matt treated me like a human being and not a number. All the way, through the experience of getting my truck transmission repaired, Matt and Ashleigh were there step by step. They BOTH fought tooth and nail; with the Extended warranty company to get my claim. for the repair, approved. They BOTH, kept the communication going, listened as well as met my truck needs for the repairs. Without them, I literally could have died of stress and frustration, as well as Sadness, had they not been so HONEST, KIND & UNDERSTANDING. These things are NOT TAUGHT, but are within us, from birth. I would do it all again just to get a fresh air of hard work, going that extra mile, honesty, communication & caring by Matt and Ashleigh at Aamco in Round.     Wow!!! For starters the customer service is off the charts. Matt Wilson is the Service Manager who has surpassed any expectations any car serviced center I have ever went to before.My trucks transmission has been failing since I purchased it from Don Ringler Chevrolet in Temple Texas. Yes for years and multiple service request they never fixed it always told me I was wrong. Then in August while in Colorado the truck would not start and started kicking even harder.Getting back to Texas I was a little worried. Then in September it happened. While driving from Round Rock to Austin the transmission gave under. I almost didn’t make it home. I was able to get Geico to tow me truck to AAMCO.The total cost of a new transmission with a 3 year unlimited warranty runs$5514.60 in total.I was able to pay half and then finance the other half with Synchrony a company AAMCO uses.Which is 0% for the first 12 months to help you pay it off with no interest!!!It was a large purchase but worth it😎The truck was towed in on 10/25/2021 with everything going on in the world there is a small wait for the part however they surpassed their due date! The truck was supposed to be done around the 15th of November , however I received a call on November 1st saying your truck is ready!!!!!By far above an beyond any expectations or experience I have ever been through when it comes to vehicles!They can get you in and out as fast as possibly! It’s quality over price for me!If you have excellent customer service and amazing staff. You will always take the top of the line, on top of that you all understand most cannot shell out that much and provide an option to get assistance to help pay while having your vehicle serviced and back into your possession!AAMCO has my loyalty!     Took in my daughters Jeep Grand Cherokee in and unfortunately the transmission had to be replaced. Matt found a transmission and had my daughters Jeep back in a couple of days after the transmission was delivered! Great employees and customer service! Will be back for any future repairs.

    I sent my car to aamco because I was told they were honest and fair.I was told right. Matt told me it would cost about $350.00 to diagnose an electrical problem. They spent about 4hours trying to find the issue, but couldnt find it. They didnt charge me a thing, and refused a comp fee for trying.

    We took our vehicle in today to have them run diagnostics to see what was going on. We were told by another mechanic that the transmission was on its way out. Matt was extremely helpful when we initially called to ask about their testing. We had it checked out today and they reported no issues with the transmission, but some electrical problems that we can get taken care of at the dealer. We werent charge for the tests today and while it seems super difficult to find honest businesses who wont take advantage of you, these guys are the real deal.

    Matt and his team are awesome. I had my transmission rebuilt and they did a fantastic job. I had a shifting issue afterwards and thought it was the transmission again. After their diagnosis, they found it was due to a vacuum leak with my air filter causing a lean fuel mixture which in turn caused the shifting issue. Even though this was not a transmission issue, they charge me absolutely nothing. I will be going to them for other services in the future. I highly recommend Matt and his team.

    Matt was very courteous and explained in detailed about the service I needed and was upfront about the time it would take to complete the work. I felt he was very honest as my previous experience with other mechanic shops were not good and I was cheated on repairs. I will be taking my vehicles to Aamco going forward and since have referred my sister in law who got her car serviced and referred my son he will be taking his vehicle. I am satisfied with work they do and the charge a reasonable fee.

    GREAT customer service. I was in Plfugerville for work driving back to Dallas when my transmission just stopped shifting. I was in need of urgent assistance and normally don’t select shops without research but was a little limited and on a time crunch. AAMCO had great customer service and kept me up to date on my truck. Matt was awesome and letting me know where in the process we were at all times. I would drive all the way back to Plfugerville if I ever needed work done on my vehicles again!!!!

    Matt saved our day. We were traveling across Texas when the transmission went out. Matt was the only person we called that was open and willing to look at our van on a weekend.After dropping our van off they had it diagnosed within an hour and offered a solution that let us get everything fixed within 6 hours of getting it looked at. A complete transmission replaced in 5 hours is basically a miracle for us and let us continue our journey home on time.Thank you Matt! Everyone should give them a call with any auto issues.

    Update 09/08/23: I ended up choosing AAMCO Round Rock to rebuild the CVT transmission on my Nissan car. They repaired a few other areas as well. They did a fantastic job and my car runs like its new. I am very satisfied with having spent my money here instead of at Nissan. My comments in the original post related to customer service and trust are the reasons I made the decision to go with AAMCO Round Rock. I was so pleased with the work that I took my Chevy truck in to have some repairs done in a few different areas. My check engine light is off on my truck now and I have peace of mind that the repairs were done with care. Matt and his team provide excellent customer service, prices, and repairs. There is no doubt I will return to this location to have work done when it is needed. Thank you!Original 08/24/23: This was an experience that a customer would hope for. My CVT transmission is on its last leg. Matt provided clear and precise communication, empathy, pricing, and knowledge - that their competitors often overlook.     Made an appointment last week for this morning at 0730. Matt was great to work with and so were the mechanics. Checked my truck, drove it, checked the transmission, and then recommended the correct preventative maintenance. In and out in a few hours.     Thank goodness I found this AAMCO close to my home! The transmission in my Ford F150 had given up the last day of 2022 and couldn’t go in reverse anymore. I took my truck to my usual car shop and the quota seemed to high, so I decided to check a different shop and compare. The quota was even higher, therefore after long research, I decided to take my truck to AAMCO for the first time and kid you not, it was the best decision!They quoted me with a reasonable price and not only that, they did an amazing job at reconstructing my transmission to code standards. The truck works great and they even did an inspection for free after 10 days to make sure everything was still working as desired. If you are having transmission problems or anything on your car, go here first!

    Got the old todays not going to be my day light on my trucks dashboard. Called in and spoke on the phone to discuss options, and brought in to have them run some diagnostics.     I had another wonderful experience with the Round Rock AAMCO location today. Stopped in Friday to make an appt to have my car serviced and they were able to get me on the schedule for the following Tuesday.     I dont have the words to describe just how thankful I am for these guys, especially Seth. They were honest and they helped me save a ton of money and time. I highly recommend them. The manager, Seth, put my best interest and the health of my car before theyre own interests. I am so appreciative of him and I am now a lifetime customer. Im not originally from the area and needing a mechanic I was not hopeful in finding a good. But after a few phone calls and failed recommendations, I found them and they saved me quite possibly the minimum of $5000. Please call them and get in there today. They also have payment plans unlike most places and will work with you on getting your car fixed. I had so many things wrong with my vehicle and Seth sat down with me and itemized everything I needed done and in order of importance. He went above and beyond to get me on the right path.     I had an appointment set up for 09:30. I arrived 15 minutes early, the manager got the car immediately into the shop for a scan on the electrical system. (Car battery was draining for some unknown reason when it set for 2 days or longer.) Finding that everything electrical checked out positive after the scan, the manager then explained to me that there would be no charge, as well as explaining the next step in the process that should be examined. I told him that I would drive the car, let it set and see if the problem persisted. If so, I would be back. So far, no problems. Having worked on vehicles and taken an auto mechanics course in my past, I found the shop organized and clean, the manager and his staff friendly, knowledgeable, honest and efficient. Solid way to do business.

    I brought my Subaru Outback in for diagnostics on a transmission issue. Matt was very helpful, courteous and professional. Ultimately, they didnt find anything wrong with my transmission but they did fix a problem I didnt know I had. They did recommend service on parts of my suspension which didnt surprise me because of the age of my car. All in all a great experience. I definitely recommend them.

    I needed a few things for my 2005 Nissan Quest and had been to a few auto repair shops. The gist of all those interactions was, I would need to spend upwards of $2500 to get it fixed. Then I went to AAMCO, there I met Mr. Keith Geir, he initially estimated $1100 to get the issues fixed after performing a detailed diagnosis (at no cost).I left my car with them and 2 days later, I went to pickup my car. Keith told me that they were actually able to salvage a part, that would otherwise cost $350. I was glad but also surprised at their honesty. They could have easily got a new part and applied labor towards it, but they didnt!!Keith is very professional, patient and understanding and takes the effort to get your questions answered and then works with you to determine the best course of action.In my experience, with AAMCO I received the most honest, competent and reliable service at a reasonable cost.     Went there after being referred by friends. Had trust that my car will be in good hands. There was a peculiar noise under hood, they diagnosed it to be Power steering replacement. Also got the brakes replaced. A week later the steering started to make noise and brakes were rough. I went there again to get is checked and was told that these noise are normal and brakes are fine. Although, I wasnt satisfied with that response because the noise was loud, but I still trusted them. The noise because louder with time. So went back and they did excellent due diligence to check the issue and replaced Power steering pump under warranty. Thanks AAMCO team!

    I brought by car in for a fueling problem and they were very quick to diagnose it as a fuel pump issue. As it was going to be a pricy fix, I took it back in a couple weeks later and had it fixed. The service was great and Jason, the customer service manager, even put up with my calling every few hours to check on the progress! When I picked up my car, everything worked fine. The ONLY issue I have had so far is that my range was still reading 0 miles, turns out they did not disconnect the battery before/after the repair to reset the computer. I did that when I got home and all is well!

    Matt was so communicative, very response, very professional. I got a lemon car, & he was baffled by the wear on my vehicle. Him & his team took their time and effort to replace the car. This happens November 30th 2021, I finally got it back today March 23rd, & was also directed to him to replace the tires on the vehicle because of all the incorrect tire sizes.     Great service and fast to boot. Pete is excellent and knowledgeable. The mechanics know what they are doing there. I have 2006 F150 5.4L that needed some work. I had them do a tune up on it and the plugs have a notorious reputation of breaking of in the head. These guys got them out with no issues. They only fixed what was broken and they shoot straight. I usually dont write reviews unless some place and people really impress me. This shop managed to do so and I would recommend them to my grandmother.     HONEST and FAIR! My car wouldnt shift out of first and was really not working right. I was at the dealership and was quoted $5800 for a new transmission. My car wasnt even worth that much. I called Aamco for another opinion and they said I could bring it in for a FREE diagnostics that it may be something simple. After 20 minutes with them looking at it , Adam, the Manager told me it just needs a simple sensor! For less than 200 dollars my car runs great. Adam could have taken advantage of the situation but he didnt. I felt like he actually cared about just getting my car fixed and not just my wallet. I would recommend this shop to anyone. I send my college aged daughter there without any fear of them ripping her off. Im an AAMCO customer for life!

    Let me tell you about Daniel. He is amazing. I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox with 119,000 miles and never had a minutes trouble out of it. Last year my heater quit blowing hot air, but the cool air was fine. I researched possible causes and to my horror, it all pointed to the blend door being broken or stuck which was costing people almost $1,000 to fix because it involved the whole dash being torn apart to get to it. Not a cost even remotely in my budget, so I toughed out the winter without heat. Six months ago I called the dealership I bought the car from to see if there was a recall on this part. They asked for my VIN number, came back and said no. So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to take it to AAMCO in Round Rock just to see what the problem actually was, so at least I would know. I e-mailed my problem to them and Daniel promptly called and we discussed it. He agreed it might be the blend door but didnt think it was a hard fix. Took it over on an agreed upon day, and after having the car all day, he told me he found a bulletin under my VIN number that covered my car problem from GM for a free fix on my year model for 10 years or up to 120,000 miles, so I was just under the wire. I was astounded as I had never heard anything about this and it had been out since 2012. The dealer didnt tell me that either when I called about my problem six months earlier. He only charged me the 50 dollars to check out my car and Im so grateful to Daniel for giving me the information I needed to get the dealer to fix my car free of charge, as I had been so stressed out about needing this done. As for the dealer I chose to take my car to, they fixed it but drug out the process much too long and kept my car for four days claiming they couldnt figure out the problem, after I told them what it was. Daniel also told me the fix was using a special tool that didnt require taking the dash apart. My guess is they wanted to fix paying customers before me, a warranty job. So thanks to Daniel and he is getting all my repair business.

    Got a transmission quote from the dealer.... recovered from the heart attack.... went to AAMCO in Round Rock. They were very understanding, gave me a reasonable quote, provided an explanation of the repair process & possible variables... very professional. The price was 30% below the dealer cost, the work was completed quickly & the vehicle returned in excellent shape. I had another problem a couple of weeks following the repair. It was unrelated, but it affected the transmission function (thank you, genius automakers - sarcasm intended). The repair was done shade-tree style, causing the engine/transmission malfunction. Chris (Aamco) was very understanding (did not treat me like an idiot for trying to repair the car on my own) & took care of the improper repair, cleared the engine codes & double-checked the transmission function. All is good & I am an incredibly happy customer! I will definitely call on these guys in the future!

    This is my third time visiting the Round Rock Aamco, and Ive had nothing but great experiences with these guys.Today I came in for a brake check. I knew they were pretty rough, and I was right. All four brakes and roders needed to be changed. We are in a financial bind as our other vehicle is in the shop for major repairs, so Lou recommended a financing option that required no credit check and no money down. I was so relieved to have the option and thankful that my much needed replacement could happen!I came to Aamco for a second opinion on my Sonata in 2016. Sun Auto in Georgetown had told me there was an oil leak ad well as all four brakes and roders needed to be replaced. The Aamco guys double checked it for me, and found none of it to be true. They even brought me out into the shop and showed me how to check my brake pads myself!My first time here I came in back in 2014 with my old 06 Hyundai Elantra. I had had my engine replaced by a family friend and shadetree mechanic. Shortly thereafter my steering column went out, and I wasnt able to drive it. I thought it might be a transmission problem so I had it towed to Aamco. They were quick to diagnose the issue, as well as pinpoint errors in my engine replacement. The man hadnt bothered to put in two of the engine bolts, and a third was loosely screwed in.Bottom line, Aamco are my go to guys!

    Adam and his crew really know their stuff! I have been getting quotes all over town. When I called AAMCO, Adam told me that it would be difficult to give me a quote because we didnt really know what was wrong. Two other shops wanted 3200 for a rebuilt transmission. Trevor, the tech there, said it wasnt even the transmission that was the problem but a misfire in the engine causing the engine to buck. With a simple tune up and 1 ignition coil I was out of there with a 450 dollar bill. They will always be honest with you.

    I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler and the vehicle was starting to show signs that something wrong with the clutch and/or the transmission. It was making some strange whining sounds along with a shutter coming out of 1st and 2nd gear. So, I decided to take it to Aamco - Round Rock to have it checked out. I met with Adam Cox, Customer Service Manager, and discussed with him what was happening with the vehicle. He immediately offered up some potential issues that might be happening with the tranny and/or clutch and offered up a free, no obligation diagnosis to help further determine the actual root cause. He took the vehicle right in and within 30 minutes had a determination as to what was causing the problem and several different options for me to choose from that best met my budget ( turned out it needed a new clutch kit and not transmission work). From that point, Adam and I corresponded via email on scheduling the work( he was always timely in responding to my emails) and offered several time slots and even offered up a ride for me to and from my work on the day of the job. While auto work is sometimes not cheap and frequently leaves you asking if you are actually getting a good deal for the work, Adam was very courteous, professional, listened to my questions and flexible in coming up with workable options that instilled a high level of confidence that I was getting the best service at the best price for my Jeep.I would recommend Adam and his team(Thanks to Omar for the ride to and from work) at Aamco - Round Rock for any transmission or general car care.
