Update: I have now used 2Aces multiple times, but most recently they essentially revived this old pickup at a fair price and with great efficiency. My grandpa has had an auto shop for many years, and the way 2Aces operates gives me that same vibe of honesty and friendliness—just in nicer digs. My truck wouldnt start, Im fairly new to San Antonio and was stressed that I would have to go the dealership. But a friend recommended 2 Aces and I took a leap of faith, fingers crossed and ready to eat beans for a month because of high prices. THIS IS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, REASONABLE auto shop, ever. They replaced my starter within hours at a very good price and never will I ever go to anyone else for my auto needs. I was having engine issues and there was a partial repair by another shop (it was over their head). I called 2 Aces and spoke to Ashley, who was very patient and helpful as she allowed me to explain what was happening with my vehicle. I scheduled an appt for diagnostic, they called me the next morning with the results and what needed to be done. They repaired my car that day and it is running great! By far the best experience Ive ever had when it come to auto repairs. Ashley at the front desk was super helpful and nice. Always greeted me with a smile. The owner Robert personally called me to follow up on how my Truck was running and I really could tell he cared. The 2 Aces facility and crew are legit. Known them since the beginning. I have had all my vehicles serviced there for years. From the simplest of oil changes to some minor / major repair services. From install custom exhaust to radiator replacements to tire repairs to diagnoses help to towing suggestions and on and on. Some of the vehicle rap sheet... 1999 Civic EX 2dr... help make last 298,XXX miles (crash 2015), 2006 Tacoma TRD... help make last 290,XXX miles (sold 2021), 2012 Camry SE V6... still going at 190,XXX miles, My Son 2005 G35 V6 6M... simple to minor/major, etc. 184,XXX (crash 2021). and my other vehicles on and on... Good peoples and great help. Even though I split my vehicles services with another facility, still worth it to have 2 Aces underneath your sleeve.

This is my “go to” repair shop for my truck. They take care of everything. They recently replaced the exhaust manifolds and completed the job in one day. They are very conscious of the fact that people need their vehicles, and they work hard to complete the job as quickly as possible. For maintenance issues, such as an oil change or brakes, they arrange to take my vehicle as quickly as possible. I mistakenly brought my truck in too early for an oil change, but instead of doing it, and making the money, they told me to come back in a few weeks when it was needed. My mother had a small, but critical repair needed on her car. They made time for her immediately and got her back on the road safely. The cost of repairs and maintenance is very competitive and fair. I know they are not overcharging for their services. Robert and Vince are as honest as they come. I highly recommend this business!

I called to see if they would take a walk-in for the state inspection and I was told I could stop at anytime. As soon as I arrived I was greeted and I was asked to provide the documents to proceed with the inspection. I gave the car keys and I was invited to sit down on their waiting area; within 12 minutes my inspection was done. I felt very comfortable while waiting and during all interactions. Ill be back for any of my cars needs!

I brought My pick up here when my shifter wasnt engaging to any gear. I feared the worst that my transmission had gone out but turns out it was the shifting cable. These guys had my truck back to me in a couple hours and the price was way better then i could have asked for. My only regret here was that I didnt tip the mechanic who fixed my truck. Im going to be a life long customer now. ThankS a bunch guys for honest and great work,thats is nearly impossible to find now a days.

I found Two Aces Auto Repair quite by accident. I went to get a vehicle inspected and waited at one of the quicker stickers and nobody showed p to open. I did a quick search and discovered Two Aces. I asked about some auto repairs I needed done and they were less expensive that another service company I had been using. I gave them a shot and have been taking our vehicle there ever since.One of the thing I like best, is they will tell you all your options and dont just try and sell you repairs that are not needed. The are truly professional and I trust them completely. They perform fair and honest work. I not sure how long I have been going there, but it has been years. Give them a shot!

I love this place! Robert and Vince with their team are the best mechanics you can get in South Texas. Probably the whole state as I have met some shifty mechanics up east too! I have been going here since 2016 and every time, they have been completely honest and charge fair prices. I convinced family members to try them too instead of shady Pep Boys or pump/dump chain mechanics and they all love going here too!Today, I was needing my car checked before a trip to Dallas and they agreed to squeeze me in (it was my fault, I meant to arrive earlier). They not only did, but they didnt shaft me when they could see I was concerned about a road trip. Im sort of easy prey to mechanics and neither Robert or Vince (and team) have ever made me question their determinations, unlike the shady mechanics who pretend your car is about to fall apart in two seconds unless you do thousand dollar repairs right away. Ive taken two cars here and while Im sure they miss the old money pit PT Cruiser I had, they definitely work on my Toyota with the same professionalism.The one time they made a mistake (and it wasnt even their mistake, Chrysler just makes bad cars), they fixed it right away at no cost. Thats how I knew they were my only mechanic I was willing to drive for!Long story short: TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Ignore the fancy deals that chains pretend to give you and go to REPUTABLE Two Aces Auto Repair! You will save money and a lot of peace of mind! Their honesty and forwardness is what keeps a loyal customer base!

Incredible business! I took my car to fix a weird sound at a chain mechanic and got told I needed about $1.5k worth of repairs done. I wanted to get a second opinion and a mechanic friend HIGHLY recommended going to 2 Aces. I could not have been happier, the team assured me of exactly what I needed which added up to only about $100 and they were incredibly honest, up front, caring, and trustworthy people. They took the time to thoroughly explain what needed to be fixed and even took me out to my car to show me to help me understand. This was our first time taking our vehicle to 2 Aces Auto and Robert and his team are truly awesome. They fixed my car and had it back to me in two days I was impressed. They fixed my oil leak, put on a new alternator, a new overflow bottle and hose for the radiator! They also went above and beyond to recharge my AC and plugged my code in for the radio. These guys are the best in town! The AC in my work truck went out, i called around for estimates and their prices were BY FAR the best. My repair was going to take 2 days, without a truck for those 2 days I would not be able to make any money. You have to recognize good service.My experience:Issue with my AC system...the compressor seized up....not good to be without the AC.Called a few places ...either they didnt have anything for a week...or I could drop off my truck and they would get to it next week...yeah...thats the same thing.When I asked for ball park figure....on the repair...I get it...you cant give exact cost..hence the ball park estimate statement...I would not get a price...or the price seems like Id rather just use that amount on a dowm payment on a new truck...Call Two Aces...Told the issue...they said stop by we can checkout today or tomorrow morming...that works...They called back late in the day...issue found and gave estimate...super affordable...Truck was ready the next day...I waited a few weeks just to ensure all statyed good with the repair ...which comes with a warranty.All is still good...AC blowing like new...too cold...🥶 ha haThanks Two Aces.No BS...here...do yourself and bank account a favor and give Two Aces a look.Note: No photos to add...the compressor is new and shiny though.

Excellent service, full of integrity.I went to 2 Aces for a second opinion on a severe leak that Universal Toyota found, which would have cost me ~$1,500 to repair at Toyota. Got a free assessment at 2 Aces and my leak was more of a small drop of fluid, which they cleaned away. Robert asked me to come back in a couple weeks to ensure that no further fluid or leaks occurred.I went back today and also had an oil change done. No leaks and a fast oil change = win! 2 Aces has earned my future loyalty for all repairs and maintenance. Highly recommend!!

They were outstanding, had a radiator fluid leak ended up needing a new water pump, done by the end of the day and they knocked out my inspection in the process. I felt like the price was fai, I was informed every step of the way and they did an excellent job, my truck is running great!

I then took my Highlander in and found it need new front struts. Again very honest and efficient. Honesty, professionalism, speed of work, and quality of work all deserve 5 stars. We have been without air conditioning in our car for a year and have taken it to multiple repair shops in Maryland where we had to wait anywhere from 6-8 hours only for the AC to start blowing hot again in a couple days. We moved to San Antonio a few days ago only to realize that with a pregnant wife and 2 kids AC here is not an option but a necessity. Being new to the area and ripped off in the past I was hesitant to take our car to a shop but, I found these guys on Google and decided to give it a chance. They were professional and friendly over the phone and above all else they were very flexible on when I can bring the car in to get looked at. We arrived around 11 in the morning and within 15-20 minutes they had already found the leak in the condenser, provided me a repair quote, and I was on my way. Around 3 in the afternoon on that same day I got a call from 2 Aces letting me know they had just recieved the part and to bring the car in tomorrow to be fixed. Without a doubt that next day I dropped off the car and they repaired it the same day. The AC is still blowing ice cold to this day and I am very pleased overall with the decision to go to 2 Aces.

These guys are top notch!! Reviews don’t lie and this shop is highly rated for a reason!!We were on vacation going from San Antonio back home to Dallas. We pulled over to get something to eat and while in the drive thru our car overheated. Long story short I did what I was able to, but decided it wasn’t worth the time on the side of the road. So, I took the car to the nearest place I felt I could make it to without blowing the motor. It was Firestone, will not happen again. Without going into all the details. After 2 1/2 hours and an over Eleven Hundred Dollar quote later, I took the vehicle back from firestone and took it to some real mechanics. I should’ve done my due diligence prior and looked at local reviews, if I did I would have brought it here to begin with. These guys got us straight up on the lift. Allowed me to come back into the shop and take a look at exactly what was going on, and helped me make a comfortable decision to drive the vehicle home and fix it myself. These guys are the best. Period. I have dealt with 2 Aces for around 10 years, they are always honest. They will tell you flat out the best solution for your car, be upfront with the cost and treat you fairly 100%. So I had searched around for reviews on auto repair service, and 2 Aces was close and had 5 stars, so I decided to take a gamble and head on over. I went in for a repair (I dont remember right now what it was.), and was given a reasonable price for the timeframe they finished in (same day.) two weeks later, I take it back to replace a radiator fan that had gone out, causing my car to overheat. I called them I the morning and they said they could squeeze me in ( I am a rural mail carrier, so my car is my money and usually only have one day to make repairs.) everything seemed fine, car would still overheat if using the a/c while delivering, but then the a/c went out. So there I was again, they were honest! Simply a blown fuse, replaced without a fuss, and I had already been planning to have them do a tune up, coolant service, transmission service, and replace the serpentine belt. While he was finishing up, he saw it overheating again, checked it out, the other radiator fan had melted its motor. Called me up, could still finish within the day, and had the part rushed. Great service, great price, honest, fast. Ill probably only be going here from now on!

I stumbled on 2 Aces Auto a couple years back. I had a horrible experience at a repair shop that tried to fail my brake inspection and upsell me on brakes. I googled 2 Aces and saw theyre veteran owned (I too am a veteran!) and called him with only an hour till closing. Robert told me to come on in and I did. He told me I am not failing in the brakes department and hooked me up with a valid inspection. He noted my brakes wear down and showed me on a brake pad where my brakes were. He said I had plenty of brake life left. Possibly another year or 2. And he was right on!!Now, a couple oil changes later, and recently a tune-up/oil change/ inspection, I am still a happy customer. Robert and his team have always been professional, courteous, and honest. They advise me on things to keep in mind for repair, maintenance, and never upsell. Took my 2007 Nissan Murano to them for a Cylinder 3 Misfire engine code. They replaced all my spark plugs and Cylinder 3 coil, as well as the valve cover gasket. Car runs like new. Also got the squealing from the serpentine belt to go away, and they somehow got the TPMS sensor for one of my tires, which had been a constant warning light on my dash on since I bought the car that I had been unable to cure, to work again. I was charged less than I had been quoted before, and will take my car and any future cars to them for repair.They also do state inspections for registration.
