Chisholm is a great place to live. Ive been here for a year and havent had any problems. Its is an old building but the sense of community and RAs make it worth while. The rooms are HUGE and I have a queen sized bed thats very comfortable. And they have private bathrooms as well. The cable is good too. A pose to some of the reviews here that simply arent true, like the bed bugs and fire alarms, i enjoy living here. If simple place to live that doesnt break the bank this is definitely the place to stay -

While the place may have crazy going-ons (i.e. the rare fire alarm and residents always out and about) Chisholm Hall is a great place to live! The residents are super friendly and I have made many wonderful, life-long friends, including RA Lydia who always smiles and says hello when she sees me. Chisholm is, also, SUPER close to the Roadrunner Cafe making food easily accessible. The office staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful - what they dont know they will find for you! The rooms are a decent size and comfortable to live in (just make sure you know who youre living with before moving in). Living here is absolutely AMAZING!! I love it! -

The RA’s are amazing at Chisholm hall, very friendly and easy to talk to about everything. Brianna is probably my favorite :) she is always smiling and says hey to everyone she sees. The dorms are an amazing place to meet new people. Most of the friends I’ve made this year are people I probably would have never talked to without Chisholm. I love the communal kitchen and living area, it’s where we do most of our group hangs and movie nights. Overall is pretty amazing! -

Chisholm Hall is the first dorm Ive stayed at, its a pretty great place to live on campus at UTSA! Its very close to the Cafe and they host a lot of events with free food and drinks! The alarm systems go off quite often but its not terribly annoying. The rooms are big and the windows allow for a lot of natural light which is a plus. My RAs on the first floor do a wonderful job of be available and providing help when needed. Overall, for the price this is a great dorm! -

Honestly the environment around here in Chisholm is amazing. I was hesitant at first but my RAs made living here 1000x better. The rooms are in good condition and there’s a lot of fun activities always going on around this dorm complex. Brianna Carter is so far my favorite RA she reaches out to us a lot and is always willing to help us. She’s super outgoing and you’ll never see her without a smile. -
Review 6 (2019-10-10 - Rating: 4)
Chisholm Hall could be better, there is always dust on the floors and the laundry rooms are gross no matter how many times the RAs or I clean them. However, the few residents Ive met more than make up for it with their warm smiles and welcoming attitudes. The person who makes me feel most welcomed is RA Lydia, who always has a big smile and tries to say hi when she sees me. She always has a joke - which may not actually be funny, but she tries. -

The best thing about Chisholm is my RA Brianna. She’s honestly the sweetest and so informative about resources and where things are around campus and has been super helpful! As for Chisholm itself, it’s extremely close to the roadrunner cafe and I like that the bathrooms are in the room and only me and my roommate have to share one. -

Chilsholm Hall is a nice dorm hall that gives the feeling of home and family. The staff at this hall were very kind and very helpful. The rooms are very nice as well. They are spacious for dorm rooms, have two sinks for each roommate, and a private bathroom. I would say the dorm hall is a good choice when it comes to housing on a college campus. Suggestion, offer a move in check list. -

My experience at Chisholm Hall was good. I honestly thought I was going to hate it because I read the reviews, but i went in with an open mind and was very happy at the end of the year. While it is the oldest dorm on campus it has been maintained and upgraded when needed. To me it offers the college experience that many look for. You share a room and bathroom with your roommate and hopefully they become a good friend. My RA was great. Jyron was always available when I needed him,he is friendly, hilarious, stood up for me, and was not afraid to act like Momma Jay to keep us on top of our grades. He is now the head RA and that can only mean that the way things are run around Chisholm are only gonna get better then they already are.Definitely a good place to live. I could walk to class and if I felt like it I could walk to La Cantera and food across 1604. Another plus is that the key card system actually works to get in to the building. So I feel safe because it actually locks unlike the gates at Chap and Laurel, which are almost always open. Plus the entrance to my room is inside so it is much cooler especially in this Texas heat.Chisholm is the cheapest on campus and from what I know they are opening San Saba which is basically the same thing as Chisholm, but way more expensive. San Saba students will get their own room but I would not suggest this to people who are coming to college the first time or people who want the full college experience because it limits everything! While at Chisholm about 95% of the doors where open and EVERYONE was like a family except for the ones who did not care about college and where gone second semester anyway. In all I want to say thank you to Chisholm hall, and to my amazing RA for making my first year amazing! And knowing my RA is going to be the head RA next year I know he will not settle for less then amazing. I hope your student houses at Chisholm, he or she will by far have the best time of their life. -
Review 10 (2013-06-17 - Rating: 4)
Chisholm hall was the lowest cost on campus so I lived there last year. It wasnt the best when I first moved in, but they have made a lot of renovations. They also made the price lower. Its a traditional dorm and thats why I like it there are free events and activities all the time. Im living there next year too. -
Review 11 (2019-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Chisholm is a great community and it is a great place to go and hang out with friends. Veronica, the first floor RA, does a wonderful job and will go out of her way to help out any of her residents to make sure they are taken off. Overall it’s a great place and definitely would recommend. -
Review 12 (2019-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Chisholm Hall has been great since Ive lived here. There is a great sense of community and that makes it easy to make new friends. Its also close to the café for any meal. The indoor pool is nice and its great for exercise. My favorite part would have to be spending time in the Activity Center though. Whether its for a program or just watching the astros, its always a good time. -
Review 13 (2019-10-18 - Rating: 5)
Chisholm is a great place to stay at theres always weekly activities to get involved and make lots of friends, the environment is peaceful and friendly. RA Brianna is really nice and has made my stay here pleasant if I have a problem I know I can go to her for anything! -
Review 14 (2018-01-23 - Rating: 5)
Currently a resident here. The RAs are super duper nice and friendly. They make you feel at home. Sure its an ol building but thats what i like about it to be honest. The room is bigger and has more space than I know what to do with. The only negative thing I have to say about this complex is the very sensitive alarm, as it goes off rather frequently, maybe 3 times a month usually. Other than that, Five stars! -
Review 15 (2019-10-12 - Rating: 4)
Chisholm is pretty affordable. It isn’ t the best housing on campus but, the RA on the third floor makes life so much easier. Lydia, the 3rd floor’s RA, is so sweet and kind and will go out of her way to help in anyway she can. -
Review 16 (2019-10-10 - Rating: 4)
Third floor RA Lydia is literally the only thing I like about Chisholm hall. She makes the constantly open door and the fire alarms at random time worth while. She can always be counted on to lend an ear and respond appropriately. Others come off as unapproachable but Lydia mange’s to overcome this boundary by genuinely caring about the residents! -
Review 17 (2019-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Living here at Chisholm hall has been a great experience, and great opportunity to meet new people and make life long friends that I never thought of making. Out of all the housing here on campus I would have to say Chisholm hall has the strongest community than others. -
Review 18 (2024-08-22 - Rating: 5)

Review 19 (2019-10-13 - Rating: 5)
I have lived at Chisholm for two and a half years now. It has always felt like home since I moved from Houston. I am able to meet new people and make many memories with them. Plus in not far from campus so I am able to go back and forth between main campus and the dorms when I need to. Thank you to all who try so hard to make it feel like home. -
Review 20 (2013-08-24 - Rating: 5)
Upon arriving, I was immediately impressed by the friendly staff. Jyron was very informative and helped answer all my questions I had about the hall. The building is one of the older of the dorms, but the rooms are spacious. It is conveniently located not too close, but not too far from the campus buildings. I can definitely see myself living here! -
Review 21 (2018-08-16 - Rating: 5)
Chisholm is love. Chisholm is life. Your experience here is what you make it. The staff here really try their best to make sure everything is fine.If you want to live on campus, this is the place to be a part of a community that you will remember for a lifetime. I would give Chisholm 100 stars if I could! -
Review 22 (2019-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Im on the first floor and its pretty cool being here. Alarm goes off every now and then but Id prefer to know Im going to be safe than a disaster happening either. RA Jules is awesome and really funny (like sarcastic, dry humor) and is really helpful. Helped me with homework a few times. -
Review 23 (2019-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Chisholm is pretty cool. Lots of programs and free stuff. RA Jules cooked food for one of the programs from the Caribbean with Mexican stuff. Everything tasted good. maintenance problems come up sometimes. They tend to fix it. Pretty cheap. I stan -

The Ras are amazing here. They are so caring and helpful. I also love that packages can be sent here instead of me having to get my own PO box. The room have a lot of space, so many ways to set it up. -

I am new to the area transferring to UTSA. I was told to check out Chisolm Hall and was impressed by the staff. I felt welcomed and seeing as I know no one in the area that was a big deal to me. The campus atmosphere was great and really made me feel comfortable. Thank you Chisolm. -
