    Dawn & Jimmy were great hosts. They were always available when I had a question about anything with the place. The apartment was kept up, and was very cozy and comfortable to live in for an extended stay. Its in a great location, very close to the downtown area and many restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to stay for a short or extended stay!

    Our host Jimmy was great. He answered all questioned we had. This lake house did not disappoint. We had a great family weekend and had everything we needed. There was a fully stocked kitchen and the lake in your backyard. We will be back!

    My family had a great time. Its a beautiful property with lots of amenities. My kids loved the kayaks and peddle boat. Would definitely stay here again when we are in town. And you cant beat the views from the back deck!

    Truly a beautiful place inside and out! Nice and quiet getaway with tons of things to do from campfire to inside board games. The best part is the hospitality if I needed anything they were on it immediately. Definitely will be back. 🤍

    We had an amazing family weekend at this home. 2 adults and three elementary and jr high kids. The house is lovely and extremely comfortable with plenty of beds, multiple eating areas, a nice kitchen. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle board and hammock. We fished off the dock and caught several fish. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and had a great time fishing and tubing on the lake. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!!

    We stayed at Lone Star Lake Rentals for 2 nights and it was nothing short of absolutely amazing!! From a beautiful breakfast with a lakefront view to a cozy slumber in the most comfortable beds, this cute house was perfect for our bachelorette weekend! I could not recommend this rental enough!

    My husband I stayed four nights in May 2024. The property is really nice. The deck has great views of the sunrise and the hammock swing is so relaxing to sit in and read a book. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need and more. There are kayaks, a paddle board, indoor and outdoor games. One afternoon it was raining so we played monopoly which was fun! I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family and I hope to return again someday.

    This lakeside cabin is a hidden gem! We have family living in the area, so we stayed here for the first time last year. The place was way beyond our expectations with new modern appliances, huge smart televisions and plenty of square footage for a big family. The view of the lake from the covered deck is so relaxing. We loved it some much, we came back again this year for the total eclipse. We had the perfect viewing spot on the dock and everyone had a great time. Jimmy who hosts the place makes sure all our needs are met, including a notebook that explains how to checkout and recommends places to eat nearby. He was in contact with his cell number and was a text away if we had questions. We definitely will be staying there again on our next visit! Thanks Jimmy!

    Our favorite vacation house to date! The very best outdoor fun for kids and adults alike - fishing, paddling (boats included!), swimming - super clean, clear water lake with very few motor boats. Stylish and immaculately clean interior with plenty of space for our family of 6 to relax for 4 days. Tons of games for the kids, too!

    We had a great weekend staying at Lone Star Lake with our family. The house had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay including kayaks, a paddle board, and a peddle boat. We had fun fishing off the dock and pulling in sunfish. We even caught a channel cat. All in all a relaxing weekend getaway.

    Great spot for relaxing and family fun! We love staying here when we visit East Texas. This tiny house has all the amenities of a larger home, plus fun stuff for kids like paddle boating, swimming and games! The home owners are also amazing hosts, very warm and welcoming :) If you get a chance to visit this lovely little town, be sure to stay at one of these properties. A++!!

    This tiny house has all you need! A quick down to the dock…. Catching your lunch or dinner…fresh fish! The beautiful birds that surround you. The peace and quiet we all need….it was amazing and can’t wait to return! Time to reflect on life without the hustle of everyday life… focus on what really matters in this life! Plenty of rest and seclusion from the concrete jungle! If you need an absolutely gorgeous peaceful country living kind of getaway call Mr Jimmy! A wonderful person and great host! I give it 9 stars out of ten! Only thing that would have made it better is if I didn’t have to try to figure out the high tech in this little home… but I did 😁. Made a new friend Chester the horse….probably not his name…but he made me smile like Chester…big ole grins! Note to self…it is an electric fence 😳. It was a blessing…all the way around! ✌🏻❤️😁

    We had such a fantastic time for the long 4th of July weekend! The reservoir was really chill and not crowded at all. The home had plenty of space for our family of 5, including dishes and cookware. They also had an electronic gameboard that the kids loved and kayaks, a paddleboard, and a pedal boat available to use. The backyard was also big enough for us to play games and run around in. Their home surpassed all our expectations and we really look forward to coming back!

    Amazing host and location. Have stayed in both main house-spacious and comfy, and Tiny house, which is well designed, comfortable and cozy. Location on lake is beautiful way to unwind. Jimmy our host has been accommodating a very long stay for family health management. Hes been wonderful and responsive at every change in itinerary. Dont hesitate to rent. Best rental in TX!!!

    Home is beautiful!!! We are family of 5 and tiny home accomidated us! This was our first tiny home experience and we definitely respect tiny homes now. This home is spacious. Has everything you need right there. The kids had their own room, but still able to laugh and bond. We even loved the activities that came with it, paddle boat is a winner!!! If you and your family are outdoor people, this is a great place to stay.Thank you so much for the vision, bringing it to pass and allowing us to be apart. We will definitely return.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE! Jimmy and Dawn are fabulous hosts and this place is an absolute find. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the area AND get a taste of actual southern hospitality. It was so cozy and cute. The bed was so comfortable, space was clean and it was nice to have the whole place to ourselves to relax. I’m glad I didn’t stay in a hotel haha! We were blown away by the place. The aesthetic was elegant and classy. The open layout and natural lighting made the place gorgeous.Dawn was so kind and quick to respond to all of our questions. She was accommodating and I felt so welcomed here. The location is incredible. I just can’t say enough nice things about this place. Absolutely loved it here!

    Great little studio right by Downtown Mckinney. Its just enough for one or two people whether youre staying a few nights or months. Owners are nice, communicative, and very understanding of my situation working night shift. No problems at all within the 3 months Ive been here. I would definitely stay here again!

    What a great time we had at the Tiny House. We caught several Bass, catfish and sunfish in a very beautiful location. The tiny house was first class all the way with cleanliness, style, comfort and excellent amenities. Check-in/Check-out easy, and communication with property manager was top notch. If I could, I would give ten stars !

    My husband and I had the best time ever at the Lone Star lake house rental for our honeymoon! When we got there, we were blown away by how pretty everything was. The lake was so beautiful and the house was surrounded by big beautiful pine trees. The house itself was awesome! It had a cozy and romantic feel to it, with really nice decorations. We had everything we needed, like a kitchen to cook together and a comfy living room to chill in after a fun day.Our favorite part was the dock. We spent a ton of time there, just hanging out and enjoying the sun. The people who owned the rental were super nice and helpful too. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us great suggestions for things to do. We did a bunch of fun stuff while we were there. We swam and went kayaking in the lake. The water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming. We also went on hikes in Daingerfield State Park and found some really cool spots. We totally recommend this awesome lake house to anyone who wants a fun and relaxing getaway. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

    We came here for a family reunion in the area. We actually did not get to use the property to the fullest as we were occupied at the state park throughout most of our stay.The tiny house itself is amazing. It was a great experience, tastefully appointed and exceeded our expectations. For how small it was it was laid out such that it felt like there was a lot of space. The beds were comfortable and the space had everything we needed. It actually made me consider scaling down my current lifestyle and moving into a tiny house.My biggest complaint and its not even really a complaint is that there is a house between the lake and the tiny house. Its totally shared and welcoming to access the yard, dock, and provided outdoor activities but I was imagining a lake view. That is probably due to lack of research on my part. Either way great hosts, location, and overall experience.

    Love, love this place!! We stayed in the big house & everything was so clean and nice. The master bed is super comfy! We loved sitting out by the firepit and on the porch. The grounds are gorgeous. There’s also a super sweet outdoor cat that will cuddle with you! It was on the cooler side when we went so we didn’t get in the lake, but we really enjoyed fishing and kayaking. We will be back!

    Very beautiful place. Nice and homie. It has lots of amenities and care put into both houses. The boat dock just put the icing on the cake. Love the area and the people in the neighborhood. This is absolutely a must stay if your ever in the area.

    This was an excellent place to stay for our family.There is a great view and it is very peaceful and quiet. There is plentiful bedding and it is a comfortable space. It is well-stocked with modern appliances (I was particularly happy that the kitchen was stocked with sharp knives and cookware). There is a dock and plenty of extra amenities, including a kayak. 10/10!We are already planning our next visit and are looking forward to staying here again!

    Our stay at Lone Star Lake Rentals was so relaxing and memorable!The house was super clean, adorably decorated and had plenty of room for our family to sleep! It has everything you need for a family getaway!The location of the house sits right on the lake with a dock which had beautiful views of the lake! It was a super peaceful location!We even decided to pitch a tent outside to enjoy the lakeside fire and our morning coffee watching the sunrise in the morning!Our kids fell in love with the lake house cat!     Had a blast at the lake house! Beautiful home, beautiful lake, beautiful trees just an all around beautiful experience! Three days two nights of relaxing, drinking and absorbing nature at its finest. We came from Dallas Texas this was a perfect getaway the dock was awesome we did some fishing, camp fire and witnessed the sunrise and sunset. The house is very spacious, clean and everything well kept the owners were very nice beautiful neighborhood. The back porch feels very comfortable and cozy this is where we spent most of our time just a beautiful view from there. Cool looking little town close by had restaurants and grocery stores very quiet, calm and green.....big beautiful trees everywhere!     I feel completely revitalized!If you’re looking for a cozy and peaceful getaway then please look no further than this Lakehouse. This Lakehouse provided me stunning views and plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen and living room are cozy and well-equipped. They have a deck that overlooks the lake, a fireplace outside, and my personal favorite, the hammock right near the water. This was a perfect place to spend quality time with my family and myself. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

    Stayed for two days and it was a very fun experience. The lake being right on the property made it easy to enjoy the water especially with the jet ski/boat! The house is equipped with great amenities and it’s a nice place to stay for a family/friend vacation and the fire pit is a must for a nice night!

    What can I say? Our stay was great! You basically have your own private lake here. We launched our boat for free at the Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department. We were here for a family reunion and rented both houses on the property. There was plenty of room for everyone. We already reserved it for next year.

    We loved the shared dock and common areas. We took a family quick getaway here, and turned out to be one of the best weekends ever. We used the kayaks, peddle boat, paddleboard, and both the wood fire pit and gas fire pit. This is almost a private lake all around. We shared the half acre with another party staying in the tiny house on the property and hardly noticed them. There were many common areas for us to use and share. We are coming back. My place of serenity for sure. We will be back.

    Our stay here will be a memory to last a lifetime for my family. This lake is so beautiful and quiet. We boated, used the Kayak and rode JetSki’s all weekend. The house has everything you need for your stay and some other unexpected extras. Be sure to catch a movie at the Morris Theater just down the street and Daingerfield State Park for some hiking. They do not disappoint.

    I came on a gateway trip to caddo lake with my friends and this was one of the most affordable and the most beautiful place to stay at. The house was in great condition with all the things that you’d want for your stay. There was a cat present on the property which made our stay an enjoyable one.

    Lone Star Lake Rentals is one of my favorite places to visit. It’s so peaceful, clean and beautiful especially when you catch sunrise or even sunset. You can feel that the goal for the host is to make their guest feel welcomed which they do achieve. I’ve stayed at both rentals each having their own unique vibe.I’ll be honest you will want to come back to the Lone Star Lake Rentals just to visit the guard cat who does an amazing job at entertaining guest!

    Lovely Tiny Home..all the bells and whistles too! Very modern and all kinds of high-tech appliances! Jimmy was very helpful when (old folks) were confused on operating the heater!
