If youre looking for a company to rent from, Harker Heights Properties should be the first company to contact. Corie and Tiffany are great and super helpful, answering all my dumb questions and making sure I understood everything with the move in and move out process. Being in the military and moving out to the Killeen area for the first time, pretty much every rental company has less than ideal reviews, including many horror stories of getting screwed over, especially in regards to getting back the full security deposit upon move out. It was so widespread with the companies in this area that I just accepted that I would almost certainly have issues and not get much, if any, of my deposit back. However, I got super lucky with renting from Harker Heights Properties and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a place to rent.They were super responsive with work orders and everything was done right the first time. Over the course of my time renting with them, my AC went out, my oven died, and the hot water heater stopped working. All unfortunate to have happen, but it does happen. Corie and Tiffany responded to each of my work orders immediately, some the same day but never more than 24 hours after submission. Each time, the issue was fixed the first time and I never had any issues with those things again. I didnt have any issues with shoddy repair jobs or fixes and having to submit multiple work orders for the same issue.As for the other common horror story Ive heard with rental companies in this area, I got my full security deposit back. Granted I spent over a day cleaning the rental from top to bottom, but I cleaned my butt off and had zero issues in getting my deposit back. There was no hemming and hawing from either side, so I have nothing but great things to say here as well. Corie was even nice enough to drop off my deposit check to me personally as she was in the area, instead of just not bothering and sending it in the mail. A little thing maybe, but it just helps to illustrate her going that extra mile for her tenants.I said it earlier, and Ill say it again. If youre looking to rent in Killeen and the surrounding areas, check out Harker Heights Properties first. Corie and Tiffany are knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and care about their tenants. I am tremendously grateful for stumbling upon them when I was looking for a place to rent as they made it super easy for me to focus on taking care of my family and not on dealing with issues with our residence. Corie and Tiffany are amazing! My husband and I walked into their office after a home fell through and we were left homeless. Corie was super nice and felt for us. Corie Walsh has been managing our Texas property for about 7 years now. We live out of state, and its good to know our renters have someone local to count on when the little things go wrong. Recently an appliance failed. Ms. Walsh worked with our home warranty company, maybe even pushed them, to find the replacement part. This saved me from buying a new item, and allowed the renters to continue enjoying a more quality item then what I can currently afford to purchase for replacement. I was a bit panicked and very stressed when I first heard about the issue. How do I handle this being across the country? I didnt, she did. Thank you!

Corie helped us with our purchase of a home many years ago. We stayed in contact through Facebook for years. When we found ourselves having to sell our property 12 years later, I purposely sought her out to help again. We loved having her 12 years ago and loved our experience again these past few weeks. She was timely, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. She came in and said she would have our house sold in less than a month and in less than a month we had our first offer on it. When the first offer did not go through. She did not give up on us. Next day it reposted and that next day we had another offer. She not only has a history and knowledge of the realtor business but she made the process stress-free for us. She also has reliable contacts to help with repairs needed from home inspections which helped us save additional money. She came into this process and asked us what we wanted at the end of this and never imposed her will, she gave us her professional opinion and expertise and it was greatly appreciated. Cory Walsh is simply the most amazing property manager to work with. Prior to her taking over our rental properties, our properties would sit vacant for over a year. When we contacted her she immediately took over properties and had the vacant property rented in less than a month. We use to worry when a tenant vacates property but with Cory on watch she has a new tenant ready to move in, which alleviates a lot of our stress. She is very professional which is definitely a plus. We never have to wonder about expenses incurred as she provides us with a log on information so we access website and see exactly what is going on with each property. Also with this log on you do not have to wait for a 1099 to be sent to you at the end of the year, you can immediately download same and file taxes.She is also quick to respond to any texts or emails that you may send. I rented a duplex under Heights Properties for nearly a year and had an extremely positive experience throughout. Corie is professional, honest, and friendly. She is an expert at property management who was always very accessible and accommodating which is a breath of fresh air compared to others I have rented from in military communities. While I cant evaluate maintenance because I rented a brand new, well-built unit and thus did not need any repairs, in every matter where I needed assistance Heights Properties amazed me with fast and comprehensive service.
