Recently we decided to move back to Arizona to be near family and friends. We live in Avery Ranch in far north Austin. We saw Kopa real estate signs all over Avery Ranch, read their monthly newsletter and visited several open houses that Eric had presented. We decided to contact Eric about a cash offer. We were concerned that we would have to put too much money into fixing up the house for sale and were looking for a quick outcome. Eric spent some time with us explaining a cash offer but kept suggesting that we were throwing away over $100,000 by not listing the house properly. We have a great location, on a cul-de-sac with Brushy Creek and Trail access across the street. We didn’t need to spend a lot of money, just doing minor repairs, painting where needed, cleaning and clearing out the clutter. We had a very good experience with Eric and Joyce Peterson of KOPA real estate. We lived in our home for over twenty years and knew of KOPA from signs in the neighborhood and advertisements in the Avery Ranch neighborhood paper. Even though relocating is very stressful, we recently decided to move 1300 miles away from our nice home in the Avery Ranch neighborhood in Austin to be closer to our children and grandchildren.Thankfully, with Eric and Joyce Peterson at Kopa Real Estate we knew that we had a great team on our side and one that we could fully trust. Eric knows the area very well and arrived at our first meeting with a detailed strategy to get our home ready for sale - and to sell it quickly and for a price that was just right for the market.This is where Eric and Joyce’s connections started to really add value. They recommended an excellent handyman to do a few minor touch-ups and repairs and hired a professional cleaning crew and a landscaper so our home would look its best when it hit the market. My home was previously listed by another realtor and I did not get great advice and it did not sell.I leased my home for a year and was ready to try again. I had been following Kopa Real Estate through their newspaper distributed in Cedar Park revealing Erics research on the status of the market at various times throughout several years. His realistic picture of the times helped me to feel grounded in my expectations for the sale of my home.I really liked how Eric and his wife Joyce PhD worked together to create the most ideal situation for the presentation of a home. Their taste was impeccable. I actually feel that the way they staged my home is what sold it. They brought out the best features of my home with their staging. I lived in the older part of the Ranch at Brushy Creek. It is an established neighborhood where children could ride their bikes and scooters and play basketball on their driveways. The greenbelt was not far and I would often see deer and other animals in the evenings or early mornings. My home was one of the smallest on the street and was the least impressive. Joyce and Eric turned it into a gem.When I first met Eric and listened to his ideas about the times, he advised me as to the best time to present my home and how to prepare my home. I was retiring and my home sale was part of the revenue for my retirement.Joyces ability to communicate and clearly help me understand what would benefit my home for preparing it to sell was essential. Joyce and her team have impeccable taste like I said before. My home looked beautiful. Just know that when I say ... Joyce and Eric helped with their free home staging... is an understatement. For those looking for a realtor, seriously consider Kopa! We just bought this home 3 years prior in Cedar Park and sold another with a different realtor and the experience could not have been more different. First look at the quality of Eric and Joyce’s listings and their newsletters compared to others. This IS your first impression as a buyer and seller. Accurate, detailed and descriptive. As a seller of another home recently we saw their listings, descriptions on the quality of the pictures and staging compared to our last house listing and their was no comparison. This is why we choose them for this home sale. Eric hosts the open houses, not some fill in that doesn’t know anything about your home hoping to find a buyer to represent. Kopa does it perfectly and clearly it helps in buyers wanting to see the home. They communicated regularly, called, have great prep and closing videos, lots of information to help you provide details to sell. You DO have a choice as a seller and Kopa is the only one we would recommend for the Austin area.

Joyce and Eric make a great team, I highly recommend them. I had visited a new home community and put money down on a home that I wanted. This is my first home, and I quickly realized that I needed representation for this transaction! I contacted Joyce and Eric and they came to meet me that very same day. They replied very quickly to all of my text/email questions, and went above and beyond to contact the loan officers and title company on my behalf. Eric has experience working as a mortgage broker, and I found his advice extremely helpful. Joyce came with me to every meeting with the sales office and had lots of questions that I had not thought of, but was glad that she had. When we decided to relocate to be closer to family we interviewed several real estate agents. We included Kopa since we had seen a lot of their signs in our neighborhood over the last few years and they always appeared to move the properties fast. After meeting with Eric we were impressed with his knowledge of the local market and Avery Ranch in particular. We were also convinced that he offered the best and most aggressive strategy for selling our home. We were right. After placing our home on the market and after 2 open houses over two days we received 15 offers within 4 days of the initial listing. We signed a contract 2 days later that closed in about 4 weeks. It was after the initial contract signing that Eric and his wife, Joyce, continued to prove their value. The buyer was a bit difficult; but, Joyce and Eric helped to move the deal along until we finally closed. At the end of these making-ready efforts, combined with Joyce’s magic touch of staging which is included for free, the house looks very appealing. The marketing effort was just as impressive, if not more so. The house was officially listed on Friday, by noon next Monday we were reviewing a dozen offers, almost all of them are at or above the listing price. Although we didn’t know details about how it worked, some smart and hard work must have gone into the marketing campaign before and after the listing. We recently sold our house within 3 days at over asking price using the service of Kopa. Eric and Joyce helped us sell our house after we already moved out of town and we were very happy with the smooth experience and their excellent service. They basically recommended what we needed to do to make our house more marketable and explained clearly what we didnt understand. While we were not there, they stopped by our house almost every day to check on the house, met and coordinated the handy men, cleaners, lawn guy, etc. and thoroughly checked their work for us. They also brought in furniture to stage the house to make it look nice. We communicated mostly over texting and email and almost always got immediate response. I learned about Joyce and Eric through a mailing. I Saved it for about a month or so because I had a feeling things may go South due to pandemic. I got laid off and opened the letter shortly afterward and I am glad I did. I met Eric and Joyce and immediately felt at ease. My main concerns had to do with being able to fix up, selling the house relatively quick and getting a decent deal.Long story short, they were absolutely vital because I was able to remotely get my house ready to sell with their assistance. We received a slew of bids above asking price within a day of putting the property on the market. We hired Eric Peterson (KOPA Real Estate) on a friends recommendation when we decided to sell or 17 years old home to buy a bigger and newer one. What an absolute disaster with many months of heart ache, a lot of wasted money and zero results.Long story short about looking for another Realtor after the nightmare we endured..............Kopa Real Estate KNOWS Avery Ranch and KNOWS how to sell a home. Absolutely outstanding!! They had our house under contract in three days.They showed our home to a family at one of their Avery open houses and the family did not have a Realtor. They decided to have Kopa handle the whole process for them and us. Eric Peterson at Kopa Real Estate did an amaziing job selling 3 properties for me this year. One in Avery Ranch, one in Cedar Park and one in Millwood. And in all three cases, he got them sold quickly and for what I believe to be the top, top price. No question in my mind. In the past 30 years, I have been both a Real Estate investor and Custom Home builder. First in Portland, Oregon, and now in Austin. As such, I have worked with several realtors. But I have to say, with complete honesty, that Eric and Kopa Real Estate has, hands down, been the best ever. I was so impressed by the level of service they provide. I found out about Eric Peterson through the pamphlets from Kopa Real Estate that would arrive in my mailbox every so often. Among other things, those mailers included information about the real estate market, sales volumne, time on market, property prices, and, surprisingly, their free staging, and seminars on selling your property. I had never seen anything like that. So I kept him in the back of my mind to call some day when I decided to sell. But I have to say, Joyce Peterson was amazing as well. When I wasnt able to let a repair person in, she would take care of it for me. They not only staged the properties beautifully, had amazing photos of the properties, and attracted potential buyers. But they also had great references for other things I needed help with - Roofing Company (that worked with my insurance company to get me a great deal), plumbers when I needed them to address repairs, lawn care, sprinkler repairs, etc. All of which were quick to respond and address my issues so the houses were in great shape before putting them on the market. But one of the best references Eric and Joyce gave me was a handy man that really knows his stuff. Even though he is not a property inspector, he has worked with them for so many years, that he knows the codes and what the inspectors are looking for and points out what needs to be adjusted before the inspection, therefore avoiding a long list of probllems that could otherwise cause concerns for the buyers and potential cause a sale to be lost or having to make costly repairs. To that end, of the 3 properties, there was only one minor plumbing issue that was found by the inspector but was taken care of quickly via a plumber that Eric recommended and scheduled for me. And the Handy Man took care of all of the issues I needed help with at an amaziingly reasonable price. I could keep adding more to this review, but my bottom-line recommendation is: read the other reviews and talk with Eric Peterson before working with any other realtor. I believe you will find Eric Peterson, Joyce Peterson and the Kopa Real Estate company to not only be great Realtors but amazingly wonderful people to work with.

Eric and Joyce were wonderful throughout the entire process. They come highly recommended! I even found myself steering conversations to real estate so that I could recommend them! Yes, that pizza place is great, but are you trying to buy a house?They were incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my questions in depth which was really helpful. In addition to the knowledge it was also helpful that they were willing to give their opinion when I asked them for it.They were also able to very delicately steer through our lists of requests and all of the different parties in our decision making process. The emotional intelligence that Eric and Joyce exhibited were great. Eric was also excellent at communicating and very attentive and got back to us very quickly.We are very happy with the house. Joyce and Eric helped a friend move into Avery Ranch and my friend said they did a great job so I called them when I needed to sell our house in Avery Ranch. My house needed to be put in better condition because we wanted to get the most money. Joyce arranged for a stager who lives in the neighborhood to come to the house and tell me what we needed to do. We first started talking back in February and I didn’t realize the real estate values in our neighborhood had increased since then. Back in February we talked about an expected sales price but by the time we were ready to move Joyce suggested we increase the price.We had a contract a few days after being on the market. Unfortunately the buyers got cold feet and decided they didn’t want to buy the house. I was very worried that we wouldn’t be able to find another buyer. Joyce and Eric let me know they weren’t worried and kept me calm. They found another person who wanted to buy our house and we were able to sell our house again about a week later and closed today.Because this was the first time I sold a house I learned there’s a lot more to it than I expected. It was a good think I had people who know what they are doing helping us.

I found Eric by filling in the More Information request on Zillow. The property I was interested in was already sold, but Eric took the time to find out about me and my situation. He even went so far as to get more information about how to deal with a special circumstance and call me back. I knew immediately he was the kind of agent that would see things through to the finish.The Austin Real Estate market is brutal, but Eric stayed upbeat and focused on finding us the perfect home. Over the course of several months, the time we spent with Eric was enjoyable because of his good humor and the market knowledge he conveyed. He is professional, informative and thorough. Eric struck the right balance of leaving us to evaluate properties on our own and providing his honest assessment of the properties.Eric was a great agent while we were looking for a property, but he became an exceptional agent when we got a property under contract. Eric worked with the seller to make sure required updates to the property were completed with quality work. When we ran into underwriter issues right before closing, Eric showed his investment in our dream by going beyond his normal role and working tirelessly to ensure that all documentation was completed and everything necessary was done. He devoted a remarkable amount of his time into making sure that our purchase could be completed.I wholeheartedly recommend Eric as a dedicated, caring Real Estate agent. Working with Joyce and Eric made our first home-buying experience the best it could have been!Originally, we asked friends and family about who to use for a lender and they suggested we use Quicken Loans. Quicken also tried to pair us with a local realtor in their sister company. In the meantime, we met Joyce and Eric at an open house and really hit it off well with them. We didnt have a good experience with our loan officer from Quicken and since there was no face-to-face interaction, we decided to find another lender and switch to Eric and Joyce for our realtor. Eric gave a great recommendation for a lender that we ended up using and we had such a wonderful experience that we asked for a recommendation on other things too. All of their recommendations turned out to be wonderful experiences!Joyce and Eric know the ins and outs of buying a house. Since we were new to everything, they walked us through what to expect throughout the process and were there every step of the way to give us advice and look out for us, without ever seeming pushy or manipulative. They were also very patient with us as we continued to learn what things we did and didnt want in a house. They gave us a lot of confidence so that when we found our house, we didnt hesitate to pull the trigger. As we discussed contract details with the seller, Eric and Joyce were always spot on with their counsel and suggestions. We walked away feeling like we got the house we wanted, on the best terms and without ever second-guessing anything.I could go on and on about other details, but to keep it short - they know all the other details and will make sure you know about them and you know exactly what to do. In the future, whenever we decide to start the process again, Joyce and Eric will be our first call. Theres not a doubt in my mind.

Eric did a great job helping us to navigate the Austin housing market. He is very friendly and helpful, but also honest and trustworthy. He made sure we understood some of the challenges of looking for homes in hot neighborhoods and coached us on ways to make our offer attractive. He is very optimistic and upbeat, but without setting unrealistic expectations.Once we were under contract, we appreciated how he continued to stay focused on us and provided great recommendations for all the other people we needed to bring in (e.g., inspector, insurance, repair companies). We are thrilled with the home we ended up with and could not have made it through our first home buying process without Erics expertise, patience, and persistence.
