    Nobody ever WANTS to hire an attorney. It is usually a need, and a need that is accompanied by high level of stress and uncertainty.     I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure that you have a divorce attorney that understands what youre going through and supports you. My attorney, Lori Truitt, and her staff, have to be the most patient, kind, sweet women ever! I ended up spending around $9,500 total on my divorce which is so much less than so many people have spent. She didnt charge me for every little single email interaction, and she was so understanding! She got me the best deal I could get considering my situation, and I am forever grateful to her! The staff was so incredibly helpful anytime I had a question or an issue that needed a response. They didnt judge my situation, (high conflict divorce), and they put me at ease with the process. Also, Mr. Payne was able point me in the right direction for an attorney in a totally separate matter.     I retained Stacy Riker for divorce proceedings and she was fantastic (or as fantastic as a divorce lawyer can be).I had an idea in mind before hand what I wanted to do and she was great about telling me what my options were and the best way to deal with my particular situation.The hourly rate was also more than reasonable for the services and compared to other lawyers in Lubbock. They also communicate with you through a website so it makes it pretty easy send messages back and forth without having to play phone tag.After I used Mrs. Riker, I also had them do some other documents and overall couldnt be happier with their services. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family.

    If you are currently looking for a lawyer, I hope you seriously consider Tray Payne. He took my case and worked on it and explained the entire situation on a personal level to me. I never once felt as if he was in it for the money, he handled my situation and even gave me advice on my case. He took my case in and had both charges rejected within a week. Had he not moved so quickly on my case I may be facing many more fees and potentially even more charges. I am a student at Texas Tech and couldnt be happier with my situation. His front office was helpful and friendly and I couldnt imagine going with any other law-firm.
