My fiance and I were informed by our landlord that she was intending on selling the home we have been renting for the last two years. As a courtesy she wanted to give us first offer. Neither of us had a solid idea of what the home was worth so we agreed to split the cost of an appraisal. We found this company online and saw all the good reviews. My first phone call went to voicemail but I was contacted back within the hour by Rob. He set us an appointment with Dale for a time that worked with our schedules. Dale arrived on time and was very nice. The appointment did not take long and we had a completed report in the next few days. Although the value came out much higher than we could afford to pay, we were very happy with the speed and ease of the service. When we decide to buy a home we will definitely hire this company.

I was able to schedule an appraisal just two days after contacting the company. Likely this was a fluke, but it worked well for me! Our appraiser was a bit late, but that was the fault of the previous appointment. Once he arrived, he listened to everything we pointed out. Our appraisal was fair for our neighborhood we thought and the report arrived about 8 days after the appointment. We are happy and will recommend Real Estate Appraisals Austin to any others we know.

Chandler is extremely professional and courteous. I have an older home in need of repair and was protesting the tax appraisal. I needed a fast turn-around which he did seamlessly; he responded to my request very promptly, was on time for the appointment, and I received his report even ahead of the schedule he had given me. His report was extremely thorough and representative of the condition of the property. His examination and honest opinion of the property has also helped me with upcoming decisions about renovation. I would definitely contact Chandler for any future real estate appraisal needs and couldnt recommend him highly enough.

Chandler Smith provided me with EXCELLENT service when i needed an appraisal of my property. He was very professional and knowledgeable and helped me to decide exactly what type of appraisal i needed. He was friendly and gave me a quick service, within a few days i had my appraisal in my in-box! The main thing that stands out with Mr. Chandler is that on day one when i made my first call to him I got his voice mail and i told him to call me back. With in a couple of hours, he called me back. I liked that! You cant go wrong choosing his company!

Ed came out on short notice to measure a new home I was in the process of purchasing. He was professional and honest in his work. I found him online and it was not through my lender. I wanted an independent appraiser since the lender was connected to my builder. Definitely will use him again if I ever needed to. I was a first time home buyer and he was fair to me and helpful. We moved from Austin to Florida a few years ago and decided that with property values increasing, we should keep the house and turn it into rental property. Fast forward to today, and now we’re ready to sell while the market is still good. We negotiated a price with our current tenants based on some data they had from a Realtor, but wanted an appraisal just to be as accurate as possible. The company delivered a very thorough report and our tenants commented that the appraiser that arrived was very courteous with their newborn in the house.

I called around to several home appraisal sites but Mr. Aiken was the only one that could guarantee a delivery within the time we needed. All the other firms were two weeks or more out which seems a little ridiculous in April. My appraisal was delivered as promised. Leaving a 4 star review because the two times I called he was on the road and it was hard to hear him - I would suggest hiring a receptionist to sound more professional.

We recently inherited a home located on the East side of Austin from a relative. Not being from the area, I had no idea what the value was beyond what the TCAD records stated, which I know can often be very inaccurate.We called around and hired Real Estate Appraisers Austin because their fees were reasonable and they were accommodating with our scheduling. We completed an online request form as instructed and had an appointment set within 2 days.My nephew was able to meet with them at the property and the finished report was delivered to us a few days later. Despite the long distance nature of the transaction, the process was smooth. A+

INSANITY!!! Ed (our appraiser) was very helpful during the appraisal and provided me some tips on how to handle the hearing at TCAD. I followed his instructions, went to my formal hearing and walked out with a lower tax bill. Couldnt be happier.

Generally, the appraisal industry today is a disaster with lenders running scared and appraisers running even more scared, thus their appraisals do not reflect real market value; what a willing Buyer is willing to pay a willing Seller. Chandler makes short work of that adverse condition, however. I have over 30 years experience in real estate with a focus on one-of-a-kind properties and can say without reservation that Chandler is one of the best appraisers for unique properties I have ever worked with. If your property is other than a home in a cookie cutter subdivision, he is your man. He is also timely and fairly priced with impeccable documention. I contacted an appraiser to see about getting a value on a house but after explaining th e situation to the appraiser, he actually talked me out of the appraisal and pointed me in a better direction.
