I am a real estate lawyer in Austin and have worked with Patrick Brown for several years. He is extremely knowledgeable about real estate values in central Texas, having been the chief tax appraiser for several Texas counties. I have referred numerous clients to him for appraisals, tax protests and other real estate matters and continue to do so with confidence that he will handle cases promptly and skillfully.

Mr. Brown did a spectacular job with a successful protest of my TCAD valuation. I am over 70, and TCAD had attempted, in a technically legal way, to raise my assessment by 39% because I was 28 days short of having my exemptions effective for the required one year. He was able to get the entire increase rolled back despite the fact that my exemptions were being denied. His factual understanding of the market was outstanding and led to a successful resolution. His staff is also excellent. They are true professionals.
