    Chris Evans of NPA group did an exception job on an appraisal in a marginal area near the Woodlands. The property is a small subdivision of older mobile homes which is surrounded by high end homes that range up to the $1.5 million. There were very few comparable available that were at all comparable. As a former real estate broker myself, I was aware of the difficult task this would be. Chris came through with flying colors and this allowed me to get a reduction in assessed value with HCAD.

    During a very difficult time in my life, I needed to get my family’s home appraised in order to determine a true valuation. After reviewing all my Google searches, I happen to come across NPA, which appeared to be one of the most reputable options online. I submitted an inquiry, basically requesting some general information in hopes to obtain a better understanding of the appraisal process. And Within minutes, I received a phone call from Chris. Initially, I was really impressed with the professionalism and candor in which he spoke. He was able to break down the appraisal process, address all my concerns, plus he was really easy to talk to. After speaking to him for about 30 minutes, I realized that Chris was more than just your local appraiser. He listens to you. He actually values your unique circumstances. More than anything he puts me your personal interests above his own. I found this to be a very rare quality in the world of business. Not only did he refuse to take my money, but he gave me off the record advice to help me better facilitate all my needs. I believe the entirety of the phone call lasted about 30 minutes, but the information he had given me was invaluable. Chris is truly remarkable in the sense of great customer service.     I contacted them for a second opinion appraisal after Ive been led in the dark by my mortgage company and realtor. I didnt trust the appraisal that was done so I prayed and googled appraisers near me . NPA had the best and most ratings so I called and Chris picked up.     I have to say, I was extremely pleased with the services provided by Chris from National Property Appraisal Group. When I first reached out to National Property Appraisal, I wasnt sure if I was ready to get an appraisal for my home that I was selling at the time. Didnt know if it was needed. Chris took the time to give me some sound advice and honest opinion; not seeking to gain a check, but to make sure that I knew all the fact before making a decision - whether that was to get an appraisal or not. The buyer ordered an appraisal of the property from other company, but when the appraisal came back for less than what we were thinking the house was worth, I reached back out to Chris, and he was able to get me another appraisal as a second opinion. In the end, once I received the second opinion from Chris and his team, I had a better since of what an appraisal entails and a better piece of mind that our home was valued at a fair appraisal.     The first appraiser I called told me it would be 3 weeks before he can help me. My second call was to Chris Evans and he agreed to help me.     Very Positive Experience!National Property Appraisals were very helpful when I called their office location to set up an appointment. This was the first appraisal I had ever had done but having viewed the video on Facebook (so convenient) it did not seem as daunting a task I thought it would be. They worked around my schedule (I may be retired but I have a busy life!) and arrived at my property on time, on the date agreed to. When the appraiser came to my door and came inside he took his shoes off, taking care not track in dirt or scratch my wood floors (I should have told him the floor has withstood 9 stampeding grandchildren, lol!) Chris walked me through all the things he had noted and made some suggestions. He was very honest, kind and professional at all times (not a combination common in America these days). I sent him off with fresh baked cookies promising I would highly recommend NPA as a great place to call for property appraisals.

Instead of charging me crazy amount for an appraisal he really broke down the situation and gave me helpful knowledge of how to go about the case as it relates to both an appraisal and legal side.
