Selling your home can be nerve-racking, unless you’re dealing with an experienced Broker who is not only a professional but can also make your experience a pleasant one.My wife and I were fortunate to meet Barry Adelman who was an absolute joy to work with. Since we were in the process of buying a new home, we needed to sell our existing home quickly and for the most money possible. Frankly we were behind and needed to get things moving quickly.At our first meeting, Barry told us not to worry about anything that he would take care of all details. What he did for us was to help us stage the home for little to no money, put together some amazing marketing, provided a photographer who took beautiful pictures of our home (which he paid for). He also did his homework to see what the homes in our neighborhood were selling for now and previously to understand pricing and our competition.Barry then came up with a price which was very fair based on the analysis he went over with us. He put our house on the market and lo and behold we had three offers in the first 24 hours! I must say my wife and I were most pleasantly surprised.We were thinking of taking the first offer but Barry asked us to be patient while he worked the offers as he believed we could get more. When the second buyer came back with another offer at $5,000 more than his original one there wasn’t much to think about since Barry had also prequalified the buyer… and we were off “to the races” as they say. The day of closing also went extremely smoothly as Barry had prepared us and his team for everything.In closing, I would highly recommend Barry Adelman to anyone who needs to sell a house quickly for the most money possible. You will not regret your decision.

My wife and I have been working with Barry for almost 5 years. He helped us buy our first home. He guided us through the entire process and made us feel comfortable and well equipped to make such a big life decision. Because of this, it was a no brainer to give him a call when it came time to sell that same house. Because of his knowledge and expertise, we were able to sell our home quickly and for a great price, regardless of the unpredictable real estate market, while other homes in our neighborhood sat for much longer. We are so appreciative of all Barry has done for us and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced agent to help buy or sell their home.

We cannot say enough good things about Barry Adelman and Your Austin Realty. From the initial phone call to Barry, we knew we were in great hands selling our house and looking for the next place to call home. Throughout the process, Barry was very responsive, extremely helpful in letting us know what changes we could make to help sell the house and just so, so kind. He offered a detailed list of minor things to change in our home that made a huge difference in the end and had us questioning why we hadnt done those things sooner! He patiently waded through our endless questions with a smile on his face and ever-ready advice. Barry far surpassed our expectations by getting a wonderful offer and closing within 12 days of listing our home. Selling and buying can be stressful but Barry genuinely made it fun. Barry Adelman came recommended by several people, and I was happy to work with him on the sale of my parents house. We had to update several things, and Barry took the time to reach out to quality contractors he had previous experience with to provide quotes and estimates.His background in remodeling helped immensely in looking at the pros and cons of different work within the house. It really helps to understand how frame the house in the best manner for the buyer, and it brought comfort as we went through this process.These changes helped us to sell the house before it even made it to an official listing! If you decide to work with Barry, youll appreciate his communication timeliness, insight into how to make the most effective changes (if needed) for listing and advice throughout the process.

Thats why when it came time to look for a larger home for our growing family we chose Broker, Barry Adelman to help us with our personal real estate transactions.From start to finish Barry provided an executive experience getting to work to do a thorough inspection of our current home to help determine value for leverage and options while helping us secure our ultimate landing spot. We were impressed by the fact that even given this wild real estate market, Barry was able to use his knowledge and mkt info to get us a price reduction of over 20k on the sales price at contract. Additionally, during the transaction he was also able to get us another $6500 credit while negotiating repairs. It is very obvious to us that Barry takes his business seriously and puts his clients first. Back in 2020 when I started looking at homes in Austin, I quickly realized I’d need a confident and determined real estate pro to make it work. Houses were being sold out from under you during walk-throughs. I needed an agent with a quick response time, and who had my best interest in mind. A mutual friend recommended Barry Adelman and when I found ‘my’ house, he worked with me to navigate the new home buying process. Barry went with me to the initial in-person meeting with the builder to set expectations. He was knowledgeable, and more importantly, strategical about the entire process. I benefited from his working relationship with mortgage folks, home inspectors and anyone else I needed to make it happen. He was responsive, professional, and fun. If you want a boring agent you have to babysit, Barry isn’t your guy. That’s just not in his nature. I have some pretty steep expectations for anyone I’m paying, and he was the perfect match for me, and what I wanted to accomplish.

Short story – If you need to sell your house, no need to look elsewhere, go with Barry!Longer story –I’ll be forever grateful that Barry was there to help make the repair and sale process of my house far less stressful. He is kind, respectful, an excellent communicator, has insights into the making the most effective changes to a house, and how to deal with/present things that a budget may not allow to be changed. I was by myself and had some unusual life circumstances occurring while all this was happening, and more than once Barry went completely out of his way to help. If you are looking to purchase real estate and want an expert opinion on the house, property, location to keep from making a mistake or to understand a good value...hire Barry Adelman.Barry has sold two homes for us and helped us purchase two homes. The combined selling days between the two was 3 days and both were sold for more than asking, one by a large amount. He also helped gain major concessions in both houses we purchased that frankly I would have never thought to have asked for and that would have been costly post-purchase had he not brought it to our attention.Barry is a consummate professional, great guy, and a true champion on his clients behalf. You want him on your team, he will absolutely do what is best for you and your family. This is not to say you will always like what he has to say or like all of the items on the list he will create with you to help sell your home quickly and for top dollar or when he asks you to make a list of critical and non-critical features in the type of home you are looking for but he will insure that you dont let your emotions go wild on your largest purchase and keep you marching correctly to the ultimate goal.His experience is invaluable, his feedback is gold, and if you hire him you will understand the difference between a weak agent and a great agent (yours will be the great one). He prepared us for everything and he knew what the buyers and sellers were going to ask for long before they did and help with strategy on how to stage negotiations where we felt great afterwards. After talking with our neighbor who said our home would sell quickly we initially chose a discount real estate brokerage as we thought our home would sell itself and we could make even more money. After all our home was located in the Westwood HS area and was very nice. Their pitch like most all discount brokerages we researched states that they do everything a full service brokerage does but for less commission. They said they’d help with staging, make recommendation’s and take great photos for marketing and negotiate for us. Wrong! Our house sat on market with little to no showings and no offers. We were stunned! After a call from the discount agent to ask us to lower the price (ALREADY!) we had to have another solution.Through a friend’s referral we contacted Barry Adelman with Your Austin Realty to come see the house. Barry let us know right away the home was not ready for market! We let go of the discount agent. They charged us $500 for the bad photos. Barry quickly assessed the current mkt data and did a custom make ready list w/only the necessary staging suggestions for our home. It was very strategic and equated to little money with a huge impact. Barry had magazine quality photos taken after the make ready was completed (which he paid for). We had an offer very quickly, he helped us negotiate through offer and repairs, always very responsive and ready. We could tell he had our best interest through the process.Come to find out discount brokerages play a volume game using agents that frankly either don’t have much experience or aren’t that good. That’s why they’re with a discount brokerage to begin with! But it’s not just paying the going rate it’s also the experience and abilities of the individual broker or agent. To date we’ve had Barry’s help on two sales and a purchase.We’re so happy and feel lucky to have Barry help us with all our real estate needs.Thank you Barry!

I couldn’t be happier with Barry’s professionalism. He was very up front with me about what he could and couldn’t do to help me. I was desperately trying to find a place to live and was running out of time because the 2 other realtors I worked with were very unhelpful and were telling me I had plenty of time, when I had less than 2 weeks to find a place. I called Barry and he told me he normally works only with sales, not rentals, but that he would do what he could to help me get a place since I was desperate. He was very understanding and communicative. He answered all my questions even though he was just as busy as the other realtors I worked with. He even kept in contact with the management company I applied though to make sure we were on track for approval. The second I was approved I got a call from him. I highly recommend working with him if you’re looking to buy or sell a house. He made the process so much less stressful for me and I couldn’t be more grateful. He’s the only realtor I’ll ever work with in this area.

I just bought a new home for my son and I because of Barry’s top notch customer service and help! We closed today actually and I absolutely will tell you hands down Barry is a miracle worker! This was the first house I ever bought and it was amazing! I was scared and he put me at ease! As if I was his only client (and I know he has several he’s in high demand which says so much about his character, and ethics) If and when I decide to buy again I will absolutely use him again. I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else! He has everything made so easy for the client (me in this case) and Barry is absolutely willing to go the extra mile to get the home of your dreams not just one you’ll settle for!
