Our tandem team of Brian and John made our entire home buying process an absolute pleasure. My wife and I were looking to buy our first home in the North Dallas area and we were worried about navigating the extremely difficult market conditions. My brother suggested working with Randy Abshier and Michael Fix from Van Poole since he had such a good experience working with them to find and purchase his own home. Michael Fix helped us look at homes and had a keen eye for identifying whether a house was a cheap flip or was hiding some potentially costly issues. He checked for potential future repairs, had knowledge of the areas/neighborhoods, and was very responsive. Once we found some homes that we wanted to bid on, Randy Abshier would run some numbers on comparable properties and walk us through his thoughts on the property, pricing, and gave us great advice on making our offer stand out from the others. He was also able to negotiate our purchase price down during the contract period after we found some unanticipated issues in the homes sewer lines. When my husband and I decided we were ready to start looking for our first house we were referred to the KW Van Poole team by my parents who worked with them to buy their house. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with them even in this crazy market! I needed to sell my first home...fast! To make matters more stressful, my BFF had recently passed away and I had inherited her home. Hence, the need to quickly sell. Needless to say, there was a lot going on and I was desperate for help. I happened upon the Van Poole Properties Group and their many excellent reviews on social media. From the very first phone call with Marie Hoke, I felt supported and understood. She walked me through the process, explained their team concept and we did a virtual tour of my home. She instantly recognized the value of upgrades that had been done and we discussed neighborhood comps and possible price points to consider. Next, I met with a very creative staging assistant provided by the agency, Katrina. She was diligent and direct about what would help me show my property to best advantage. Paring down my belongings by around 75%. Once I had the property staged and ready, they sent an agency photographer to take beautiful photos. It was finally time to list the house. The rest of the team leaped into action. Erica and Kristen felt like they were sitting next to me, holding my hand through it all. Within 7 days from listing, we had an offer. Throughout the process, people kept telling me how stressed I must be about the sale. BUT I WASN’T! Even with inspections, repairs and appraisals, I only felt supported and excited about the adventure ahead. Due to Covid, all of the work was done virtually. But I still feel like I’m now part of the Van Poole family. I will definitely be calling the dream team for my next sale.

We have bought 2 houses and sold 1 with VPP. All 3 times have been hard situations and they have found great solutions every single time. They have an extensive network with other realtors to help get your house sold and do so many open houses when your house is on the market. When we had a limited budget but needed to buy in a more expensive area (to be close to family) they found us a house that didnt need major repairs! When we bought a house in a crazy sellers market they still managed to negotiate a credit for repairs for us. Unfortunately Atmos started construction next to our house when we listed it but VPP used their network to find us buyers. I highly recommend them!

Just to be clear, my house is not completed yet so many things can happen throughout the rest of the process. However, after 8 months in, I am confident already that Mariah and Amber from Van Poole will do an awesome job. This is my first ever online 100% virtual home purchase in a town I have never gone to. Yes... I am crazy. I was very nervous to do this without traveling in person to Dallas, but Mariah made everything so comfortable. She was quick to respond, she was on top of her todo list, she zoomed all the showings with me so I can record it, she even drove around the neighborhood so I can see how the streets are like around it. She even drove all the way to Buccees for me to show me how close it is to my future home. She even smelled the air in front of my future home to make sure she doesnt smell cows from a nearby farm LOL. AND she even measured my mothers to-be-room for her so she can imagine her furniture arrangements!! I think catering to out of state 100% virtual clients is difficult because not only does it require them to do their usual job, they also need to be sensitive to our anxiety and worries for taking a big risk. It will never be the same as going there myself, but Mariah sure made it seem like I did. Especially during this time when builders are terminating contracts and people are put on a forever long waiting list just to secure a lot, having a professional team on your side to make sure you do not get screwed is so important when purchasing a new build. I recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a home in DFW remotely :) Just please dont hire her until after August because I want Mariah and Amber to myself LOL
