Marc Richmond is the best realtor in Austin! His knowledge and attention to detail are unlike any other realtor I have worked with.When we were looking at townhouses he considered everything from sun/shade on the patio at different times of day/year to proximity of the parking garage entrance to the noise associated with the garbage/recycling bins to street lights shining in the windows at night to heat reflection of various construction materials, just to name a few.When he spoke to other realtors or project reps, he was not afraid to ask the difficult questions and would often end up educating them on some aspect of the building code or process. In addition to real estate, Marc is well versed in building inspections and he pointed out numerous things that were improperly installed or needed to be repaired/maintained so I knew exactly what I was getting into.From the initial home search to signing the closing documents, Marc evaluated every property as if he was going to buy it for himself. Not only that, he is a long term Austin resident and is a wealth of knowledge about the various neighborhoods and local hot spots.I cannot say enough great things about Marc: he is educated, well-spoken, professional, timely, thoughtful, kind, considerate, and pleasant to be around. I have known Marc since the beginning of the pandemic when I moved to Austin. He has been my realtor for buys, thinking through home improvements/ renovations, ins-outs of renting, understanding inspection reports. His knowledge of the Austin market, his sense of the people we have interacted with, his guidance through all including property tax objections are a collection of unique set of skills and services. He also provides a stellar DIY FB page, illustrated with pics, tools, cost... every Monday, and funny construction sightings that is entertaining-- check it out.I dont know of anyone who relies on their realtor like I have come to rely on Marc. He will serve his clients 100% and every time!

I worked with Marc for selling my house in Austin recently. It was a tough market to sell in, and Marc went above and beyond to help me sell my house (which we just did, for a price I am happy with) and guide me through all the steps involved with that. In addition to all the usual realtor stuff like having meetings to go through documents etc., Marc went beyond the call of duty, including fixing items in my house and dismantling a climbing wall for me (that I had built during the pandemic). He is clearly experienced, knowledgeable and has integrity. I cant recommend Marc more - I only wish Id been working with him when I was buying my house in Austin.

The best realtor in Austin is Marc Richmond. Marc is a builder, developer, property manager, and real estate investor with years of experience in city planning. Hes not some kid who took a six-week online real estate course. Marc has the financial and legal elements of home-buying down cold. He also knows every Austin neighborhood in detail and, rarer still, he knows buildings. He will assess plumbing, HVAC, electrical, foundations, landscaping, drainage, roofs, appliances, pest issues, permitting, remodels, efficiency—everything. He will get into the crawlspace and the attic and underneath the cupboards and figure out whats in there and whats broken, so that you know the real cost of buying your house. He will get you into the home you want—not the one that makes him the most money or the quickest payout. After diligently, patiently helping me buy a house, Marc hired contractors on my behalf to make repairs before I moved in, in the process introducing me to several able and reliable tradespeople. Marc also worked on smaller repairs with me, guiding me with skill and grace. Years later, I rely on him for handyman services at an excellent price.In Marc you are getting the smartest, most committed, most trustworthy, and most knowledgeable agent you could possibly hope for, as well as much more. You are also getting an advisor and a friend.

Marc was our listing agent at a time when it had suddenly become difficult to sell houses again. It was largely due to his efforts to get the house under contract in under a week for a still reasonably high price while comparables were sitting 30-60 days unsold.We found Marc very dependable, he made it easy for us to vacate the house and move 2000 miles away while he continued to supervise remaining projects and contractors. He also invested many, many hours repairing fixtures, blinds, etc, cleaning and pressure washing the house with his own hands, and regularly checking on the house, yard, and pool.Negotiations with our buyer were hard amidst a crashing market, and we owe Marc a lot for his cool head, objective and sound advice.

MARC IS THE GREATEST REALTOR EVER!!!!! I have purchased 2 homes in the past and have interacted with realtors over the years (including my mother) and nothing comes close to Marc. His professionalism, expertise, and authentic approach to working with his clients to identify the best home is extraordinary. He was incredibly patient as we explored a number of places and I always looked forward to learning from him about the local market, energy efficiency, troubleshooting issues in my home, making the most of my investment, providing expert contractors to delivery high quality work, protesting tax appraisals, and the list goes on. When the condo purchase was complete and I wanted to have upgrades, he ensured contractors were taking the right steps and also provided his own services to update a number of features. Ive never had such a complete top to bottom experience when buying a home. When it came time for me to rent my unit, he even worked to serve as my property management and evaluate tenants. He even provides guidance on the best steps for being an ideal landlord and ensure my tenants have a great experience. I cant express my gratitude enough about the value he adds to the home buying and property management process.Shortly after buying the property, he included my daughter in the demolition process when we decided to remove some cabinets in order to allow for more natural light in the kitchen area (pics attached). His careful involvement in having my daughter be part of the experience will always be a treasured memory for all of us.

Marc is a *fantastic* realtor. When I was moving to town from out of state, he made the process of finding a house easy, even though I couldnt be there in person. He took me on video tours of houses and was quick to respond when good-looking homes came onto the market. He goes way above and beyond: I have a seven-foot grand piano, and he made a life-sized template of it so that we could check to make sure it would fit in the houses. His knowledge of construction and repairs was also invaluable, both as we were assessing potential homes and as we did our own work on it after.Most of all, hes a great guy and weve become friends. I trust his opinion and often reach out when I need home advice. Cant say enough good things about him!
