As long term residents of Port Aransas, we knew most of the realtors in town. When it came time to sell our home, we didn’t want to anger any of our friends and chose to pick someone out of Port A but with local ties to the community. A friend recommended Stuart Walsh from Rockport. We spent about an hour interviewing him and decided he checked most of the boxes. He listened to our needs and together we came up with a marketing strategy. The market was beginning a downward trend, but we agreed our house was unique enough that we should still be aggressive in pricing. He helped us stage the house, used local professionals for photography, and aggressively marketed our property through a variety of local, state and national media. We had a couple of lowball offers that he advised us to reject and we did. Through his marketing we got an offer from the metroplex. After much back and forth we agreed on a contract. To say our buyer was a “ bit of a challenge” would be an understatement. Stuart served as an effective intermediary keeping our deal intact until we successfully closed. We were so satisfied with his services that we chose to use Stuart as our buyer’s agent on a production home in North Texas. He saved us several thousand dollars on the deal.
