After looking at various sites to start my search for a home in Houston, TX, I was becoming overwhelmed. Then , I remembered a family member recommended her realtor, Shirmel Gumbs-Heliger of Do 1 Thing Real Estate. I made the call and in six weeks I closed on my new home that was perfect for me. Shirmel was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the process. She was always a text, email or phone call away. Initially, she said that getting me in the home perfect for me would become personal for her and through out the entire process, it felt that way. She went above and beyond and is still helping by making sure I have my documents for filling taxes.

She was patient and very knowledgeable at what she do it was close to a 3 month journey of looking and a few out bid homes but she pulled it off and we closed on May 22, 2024. She is patient, easy to talk to, will fight for the best for you, teaches you and explains the process, available even when she’s not supposed to be lol. But not choosing Shirmel for the place you wish to LIVE will be your first mistake of buying a HOME. She is always welcomed at our home even unannounced. My purchase was very rough due to the sellers being hard to deal with and their realtor being inexperienced, with ethical issues (in my opinion). However, I had a Shirmel. She went way over the top to support me in my purchase. A lot of that meant holding others accountable.Her experience, professionalism, integrity, and patience was on full display.
