Mary Nielsen and the Perfect Home Realty team are the best! We bought our first home with them this year.Mary was incredibly responsive to every need we had! We could reach out at any time of day and feel very confident wed receive everything we needed very quickly. As just one of many examples, she went out of her way late in the evening on a Monday to drive across town and meet us for some things we needed done as we got close to closing.She also must be the most knowledgeable person in the business! As first time home buyers, we had so many questions. Mary gave us very detailed feedback and explained everything in a way we could understand. I cannot recommend Mary and her real estate services enough.After an unexpected work relocation to San Antonio, I started to commute from San Marcos to work (50 miles). I was lucky to be connected with Mary, who saw me moving into San Antonio as a priority for herself and me before I recognized it as such. The commute started to wear on me slowly (as Mary predicted).In the height of Spring and its rain, I started my first week of work, and with Mary, the start and end of my home search. As a first-time home buyer, I had no idea what to look for, but with every little thing Mary slowly learned about me, she knew. She made what was supposed to be a taxing decision an easy one; for that, I will be forever grateful. She braved the pouring rain to look at homes and helped me narrow my search with little-to-none preferences with ease and grace. In 3 days and an impending Easter holiday close, I found my home. It’s been a pleasure working with Mary purchasing my first home. Thanks to her, this process went very smooth as she proactively took complete charge. Mary is extremely knowledgeable about locations, neighborhoods, areas and builders in San Antonio. Her work style is very methodical and organized. She is someone who pays close attention to minute details and that helps take the burden off a home buyer, especially a first time home buyer. At all points and stages of my home search, she was very cognizant of my wish list and did not ever push me to go out of my budget limits. Always punctual and respectful of appointments, she would willingly drive me to multiple homes and give me very clear and honest advice on factors I should be paying attention to, all of which helped me arrive at a very prudent decision. I am very impressed with her open honest communication style and her knowledge about homes, be it a new home or an old home. On the day I signed the final contract on my home, she explained the contract as well as all associated costs very patiently and clearly to me. The one thing I truly commend her for is the way she helped me with choosing a loan financier. She aggressively and thoroughly negotiated with competing lenders on my behalf and made sure I get the best deal. She was also very proactive in making sure I get all incentives and the best price from the builder. I am so thrilled to write a review for Mary Nielsen who recently helped us find a retirement lot at Canyon Lake. Real estate shopping is difficult enough, but we live four states away. I don’t know how we would have found the perfect lot had we not had Mary. She spent a good deal of time on the phone with us trying to understand what we were looking for, then set up her system to send us updates of property that met our criteria. By the time we were able to visit Texas, we had a list of neighborhoods we wanted to visit. She allowed us the space to drive around by ourselves then spent multiple days with us visiting places on our short list all without making us feel even a slight imposition. She even arranged to visit multiple custom home builders so we would feel comfortable with the building process in Texas. When I couldn’t see part of my number one choice of neighborhood and had to return to Florida, she arranged for a FaceTime tour with me several days later. She has stayed with us through the entire buying process, steering us away from things we needed to do in other states, but not Texas, with the idea of saving us as much money as possible. She helped with negotiating the purchase price, enabling us to purchase the lot at $20,000 below asking while many buyers were actually bidding up purchase prices at the time. Even after the contract was signed, Mary stayed in contact with me at least weekly to head off any possible issues. I don’t know what we would have done without Mary’s help and couldn’t recommend her more highly.

We had the pleasure of working with Mary while purchasing our new home. Let me first say, right from the start she actually answered her phone! Everyone else didnt. She continually answered her phone after that as well. She was very responsive and assisted us with questions and concerns we had. We wanted to look at homes but this was right in the middle of the winter storm we had in February and she was more than willing to go out there and brave the wintery conditions and give us the opportunity to look at homes we were really interested in before they were gone in this crazy market. I was really impressed with that. The system she uses to find available houses was really great as well, sending us regular updates on houses within our budget and the options we were looking for. Throughout the whole process she explained things to us and provided great referrals for other services (inspectors, lenders, etc.) She was also fantastic at recognizing our specific needs while viewing homes. She would analyze our reactions/feedback to houses and right then and there tell us: this is your sweet spot on square footage, this is the side of town youre gonna be happier at, etc. That is definitely her years of experience coming into play. We even referred a family member to her as well and she has taken well care of them. We had a great time with her from start to finish and highly recommend her as your realtor!

Mary was absolutely amazing!! Hands-down the best realtor Ive ever met. She was more than happy to schedule visits to houses so I could figure out exactly what I was looking for and it also helped her learn what my likes and dislikes were.Ive met realtors who push houses onto people so they can get their commission and Mary is definitely not one of those realtors. If I found a house where I liked some parts of it (e.g. if it had high ceilings and a great fireplace) but it had items that were on my definitely do not want (item/feature/doodad) list that we established in earlier meetings she would recommend we look at something else.Mary took the time to learn what I liked most in the houses we looked at (even when I wasnt the best at explaining exactly what that might be lol) and spent a good deal of time searching for the right fit for me. She is super knowledgeable about San Antonio and the surrounding area and has many friends and contact in the realtor community.When we found the house that I was in love with she was able to not only negotiate the price down but also have the seller throw in a couple appliances and garage door opener. During the walk-throughs we did of the house she had read through the initial contract so thoroughly she noticed that the builder had not installed the window sills and garage keypad that were initially agreed upon in the contract!I got a great deal on my new home and Im in love with it! All because Mary took the time to learn what my likes and dislike were, dedicated herself to finding something that suited me, and handled all the negotiations and concessions.I would write an entire page on how much I appreciate Marys hard work and long hours spent putting me in my new home if I could. Mary Nielsen was able to get my house sold two days before Christmas! The hardest time of year to sell. She is an amazing broker! Always available when I called. She was riding a ski lift during her holiday vacation and even answered a call from me with questions I had. The night before the inspector was to come, a storm came thru and blew down part of my fence. She met me at the house, 7pm on a Saturday evening, with hammer in hand and helped me nail my fence back together! I was so grateful and we closed shortly after.
