She was on top of absolutely everything, listened to what we wanted, and gave us valuable insights to help guide our decision making. Sydneys expertise and make it happen mindset helped us find a home that fits us in just over a month. She has gone above and beyond for us, even with some help weve needed after closing. And even though she is 100% booked and busy, she has a talent for connection and made us feel like we were her only clients.Not only do they have the best people on their team, but they give little real estate newbs (like us) so many tools to prepare you for the process. Kristina is phenomenal. We honestly cannot recommend her enough. My partner and I really appreciated how responsive she was during the home-buying process, which was really important to us as first time home buyers. Whenever we had a question all we had to do was send a text and usually within an hour shed be back in contact with us. We could not be more impressed. Beyond this, she has a really great team supporting her, who were equally accessible whenever we needed something.Kristina was also willing to go to bat for us. We werent too familiar with the negotiating process, and without her support I dont think we would have gotten as great of a deal as we did. Admittedly, I have a tendency to play it safe with these types of things, but she made us feel absolutely comfortable asking for a better deal.10/10 stars - I absolutely recommend Kristina!

In such a chaotic market as seen in Austin and the rest of the country, approaching the home buying process was a lot less stressful with the help of Alan and team at Open House Austin. We started our search in Dec of 2021 and closed in March of 2022. We chose to do a renovation project and had to compete for the property, but Alan was a whiz at talking us through what we could do to have the most competitive offer and we ended up getting the property. We couldnt have done it without you, Alan! (Especially not during this housing market)

Where can I start?! Jennifer Carey was absolute Godsend to my boyfriend and I on our first home purchase! She was referred to us by my realtor uncle, who has been in the business for 35+ years, he definitely knows his stuff and he couldn’t have chosen a better realtor or a better team to represent us! As most probably already know, this market can be a bit intimidating, especially to us first time home buyers. There were honestly a few times where we thought maybe the timing was not right; but Jennifer was the most gracious and encouraging realtor throughout the entire process. She continuously cheered us on until the very end and made the whole experience one we will never forget!My boyfriend and I at the time were living in another town, about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Austin, and Jennifer was always so accommodating. She would open up her busy schedule for us sometimes even in a minutes notice, for whenever that “perfect” house would hit the market. We loved how involved she was, constantly sending updates, reminders, and the LISTS! It wasn’t just those automatic search threads that most realtors tend to send out and leave alone for a while and make you do the most of searching and finding. No, almost every day we would get a a very personal email with tons of address’s and listed beneath would be a written section of all the pros and the cons of each property and what she thinks would be perfect or maybe not so perfect for us. Not to mention, she always left the communication line wide open for us which we very much appreciated. Actually, Jennifer, my boyfriend and I had a group message thread going on and I swear, we messaged back and forth throughout the day more than we texted anyone else in those 3 month, hahaThis woman is like an actual book of realtor knowledge! Every question we had, she had the perfect answer to. But if she didn’t have the perfect answer, she would go and figure it out and she would get back to you in the next few moments. She was was able to point out so many things that my boyfriend and and I would have definitely overlooked ourselves. She is someone who kept fighting for us throughout all the highs and the lows, it definitely felt good to have her on our side. And I know my boyfriend and I were not always the most easy clients, at times... but she made it look easy, though. :)If you are first time home buyer, a seasoned home buyer or maybe you are just a young individual with an investment mind set and goals, Jennifer Carey and Open House Austin is the absolute best route for you and all your real estate needs. You will gain an amazing support group system with like-minded individuals and tons of more helpful and fun info along the way which doesn’t just end after you buy the house, either! Working with the Open House Austin Team was exceptional. I worked with Sydney Schuster, and Ive been singing her praises for the last few months. I put off buying my first house for about 4 years because I was intimidated, didnt think I had enough cash, wasnt sure if it was smart, not knowing for sure how long Ill be in Austin, on and on...It was Open Houses education programs (Instagram, podcast, and a few webinars I attended) that gave me the courage to start the process, and it was Sydney who made the actual searching and purchase process smoother than Id ever imagined it would be. She was always three steps ahead of me. Every time she called to update me on something, we would talk through the issue and options and I would say, Ok, I think I want to do [this], and she would respond, I thought you might say that, so I already have the inspector/foundation expert/etc. on hold in case!.She managed my expectations at every turn; I never felt like I was in the dark about what was happening or what my options were. She always got back to me quickly and was overly prepared with all of the critical information for me to make a decision.I know it sounds over-the-top, but I can honestly say I dont think I would have purchased a home this year, definitely in this crazy market, if it werent for Open Houses model of educating first-time home buyers which equipped me with the knowledge and confidence I needed. Hearing from friends and family what a nightmare the home search can be - especially in Austin - I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to this team for making it so smooth, empowering, and fun.
