Just wanted to say that I had the best experience with Gary C. I was going through a tough time after the passing of my husband and he helped me find a perfect and safe home was close to my job. He helped me inspect the property to make sure it was suitable and a good deal. This was much appreciated since I didn’t have my husband there to look at those things for me. I was in a situation where I had less than 30 days to find a place. I was unsuccessful trying this on my own. I decided to contact Habitat Hunters, and was connected with a Realtor named Gary Cross. This guy was most definitely a God sent. He was very pleasant, a cut to the chase type of guy and ready to get to business. Although 30 days was cutting it close, and Im sure he had plenty of others to work with, he always made me feel like there was hope and my family was a priority. Our experience with Marni amazing. We initially connected with her to find a home to rent and when we found a place we thought we might be interested in purchasing she was very attentive and resourceful to getting all the information we needed to make a decision was best for us. She is very well connected in the Austin area to make sure all the expected and unexpected situations that come up during this time are as painless as possible. She had a great demeanor and knew how to manage all parties of the home buying experience very well. She even did more than she needed to with buying parts for our closet that really should have been done by the sellers. As new Austinites, Marni provided us a very warm welcome to our new city and we are excited to share her with our friends that are interested in moving here and we will certainly be working with her again on our next move!

I filled out contact forms of realtors and emailed realtors and the most responsive realtor, not to mention the first and quickest to respond was Bryan Ritter of Habitat Hunters. Unlike any other realtor Ive worked with to-date, he always considered our specific concerns and preferences and even did extra research based on our concerns about property management companies and whether or not certain homes would be in the shade at the hottest time of the day, to name a couple. So Id say hes more attentive and responsive (in our preferred modes of communication) than others weve worked with before. It could be that many realtors prefer to work with customers that are looking to buy rather than rent, but I might not be the best resource for that. If youre looking to rent a home, Habitat Hunters will not treat you differently than those looking to buy. Id recommend Habitat Hunters and would go to them again if I ever need a new rental home in the future. We found our home very quickly! I was impressed.

Habitat Hunters really came through for us. My family of four needed to move out of our East Austin house for a year-ish while we are doing an extensive remodel, and we needed a rental near our house and our kids school. We were working on our own for a while trying to find a place, and had little luck navigating the current rental market. A few realtors we met along the way offered to help us out but didnt really seem to get our needs.Then I happened upon a property leased by Habitat Hunters and was hooked up with Melissa Wile, who showed it to me and also took me over to another place she thought was fairly similar in the same area. Melissa was great. A super professional, easy going, and best of all a great listener who got our needs immediately. She was pretty honest about the ups and downs of the two places we were currently looking at, neither of which was really ideal, and after listening carefully to our needs she went back to her office and within 30 minutes had come up with a list of another seven or so places to show us the following day that had slipped our radar but fit our bill. She met me the next morning, and from that set we narrowed it down to two places that would work for us. She rushed to help us get the lease applications in, even working some on the weekend, and in the end we got a great place to stay thats in a perfect location for us and fits all the other criteria we had. She stayed with us through the process of getting the lease signed, and was super on the ball about making sure we were all situated in the end. I recommend Melissa highly! She really knows how to take care of people.

Apartment hunting in Austin has turned into a game of who can stay on top of the new listings the best and race to get a place locked in. My roommate and I were looking for a new place to live, but for the space we needed and the price we were willing to pay, we were striking out on our own and anything we did find, was gone 2 days before we saw the listing.Jody at Habitat Hunters jumped in and found us a place in one day! Of course the process to sign the lease and get the keys took a few days to sort out, but she went to battle with the leasing agent and property manager to ensure that we got the house, despite not meeting all of the criteria the owner and management company were looking for. The house was perfect and she made it happen. She even got the pet deposit lowered for us as well.We never would have been able to do this on our own or with a lot of the other realtors out there. She kept us in the loop every step of the way and stayed on top of us to make sure we were prepared to jump through any hoops that could be thrown in front of us.
