I had used Buena Vista Realty in the past to purchase my first home in 2009 and was very pleased with their service. I used them again this year for another home purchase. Eldon was my realtor and I could tell from the first meeting that he was there to help me get into the home I wanted. He was very knowledgeable and explained things so I understood. He was very punctual in showing up to meetings and in returning my phone calls and texts. He made sure all paperwork along the way was in order and signed in a timely manner. Eldon Merrick was so kind and helpful while I was searching for a home for my kids and I. After I initially contacted him about a specific house, he was able to find multiple others to show me that were comparable. He was very respectful of my budget as a single mom, and we kept looking until we found the perfect house. Our offer of significantly lower than the asking price was accepted, and Eldon was very helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. In the end, when the closing date unexpectedly got pushed past Christmas, he personally went to speak to the businesses involved, and his hard work made it possible for me to surprise my kids with their brand new (to us) house on Christmas morning! Overall, I had an excellent experience working with Eldon and Buena Vista Realty!

I recommend Buena Vista Realty in Portales. I worked with Koletta Hays in selling my house. With that, I had to do so and i was not local for the process. She was amazing. Very good advice and help in getting the house ready for the market. I had a lot of repairs to work through and she was awesome in organizing what i needed to have done and how. In addition, once on the market she did a good job of getting prospective buyers to look at it. Great experience during negotiations and contract periods. She was very proactive in all parts of the process. Her expertise was very important in the final sale of my house and getting the price i wanted! I could not have done this without her, especially since i was not in town. Highly recommend!

Superb service and professionalism!Eldon Merrick is without a doubt the most professional, honest and helpful real estate agent we have dealt with in a lifetime. Having bought and sold six homes in the last twelve years we have had plenty of experience with agents, good, not so good, and one stellar agent, Eldon. To be succinct, Eldon was unfailingly polite, kept his word to the letter on anything he said he would do, took care of overseeing the propertys continuing condition (we were 1000 miles away), KEPT IN CONTACT with us regularly and was concerned about making sure we understood clearly the steps he was taking to sell our home. His honesty and politeness is reason alone to use him as an agent for buying or selling, but his work ethic is beyond compare. He made the paperwork for the sale a breeze even though we were at a great distance. Five stars really arent enough!

The entire team far exceeded our expectations by providing outstanding customer service and professional advice at every step of the process. As an active duty military family, with one member deployed overseas, we had odd schedules to work around and extra challenges to get paperwork filled out. Despite these challenges, Eldon Merrick always found time and took care of us as if we were family. The peace of mind we had knowing we had someone supporting us no matter what issues came up was invaluable. While we decided to purchase very early prior to our PCS there was never any pressure from Eldon and he was extremely proactive in supplying pictures and videos for us to see since we were separated.
