Not only was she super personable and great communicator, but she also did a great job helping to prepare the property to ensure it was staged and photographed beautifully prior to taking it on the market. She was so responsive around-the-clock. She set up multiple home tours for us until we found the one, always providing full transparency and helpful advice. Although Zane was not our initial agent who closed on the house( our agent left the company), Zane made sure he took ownership on the issue and advocated for us as the buyer. He was responsive, diligent, and did the best that he could to help us resolve an issue that saved us thousands of dollars. In addition, Zane is very knowledgeable in current markets and gives very calculated offers and advice when it comes to putting in a fair but winning offer.Zane is someone we will be recommending to our friends and family for future business. Ever since we moved to Austin, Zane has been taking care of us. Zane and The Bucher Group invest in their clients, not in sales. Most real estate agents are after the commission. In contrast, Zane and The Bucher Group build relationships that last a lifetime by learning about their clients goals, serving their interests, and always being there.Having bought and sold a house before, we knew how important it is to have a good realtor. We met Zane about a year before we were ready to buy. In fact, we met a lot of realtors before we were ready to buy. All of the other realtors dropped off and only checked in if they thought they were about to get a commission through us. Not Zane. He checked in regularly to see how we were doing, to see if the properties he was sharing met our needs (and our needs changed a lot!), and to see how we were liking Austin. He always knows about cool events and things we would enjoy doing!When we were finally ready to start seeing houses, Zane made himself available immediately. This was very impressive given his very busy schedule! If he had to be out of town for a conference, there was always a knowledgeable agent at The Bucher Group available to show the property, and Zane always followed up with us. When he returned to town, he would take us on a second tour to go over his impression of the property. We took him up on this, because Zane knows a TON about houses, and always pointed out features that we never would have noticed! We would discuss the listed price, and whether it made sense given needed repairs, the location of the property, and other considerations. Zane always had a strategy for making an appropriate offer.The Austin market is hot. The properties that are priced appropriately go very fast. We lost out on one offer because we did not want to overpay for a property. Zane gave us the information we needed and we took a gamble on it. When we lost out, he was incredibly supportive and encouraged us to keep on. We did, and not long after we found and closed on our current house!The house we ended up purchasing had 5 offers within a day of us making the first offer. Even though we did not have the highest priced offer, Zanes negotiating strategy put us in the final bidding with 3 of the 5 offerors. The second offer we submitted was one we were comfortable with, and Zanes negotiating skills won us the house. We were so impressed with how he advocated for us! Any other realtor would have made us overbid on price. Instead, Zane was able to make our offer more advantageous through closing terms and a price bump we could afford. Zane was all about getting us the house we wanted with terms we were comfortable with, not just the closing commission he would get.After purchasing our home and moving in, Zane continued to check on us and the house. Unfortunately, we had some major problems (the house was a remodel with undisclosed defects), and Zane advocated for us with the seller the whole way through. Without Zane, we likely would have had to litigate, which would have been a huge bummer.Well be with Zane and The Bucher Group for life. We love Zanes consistent communication and follow up, creativity and skill in negotiations, knowledge about properties and closing the deal, and his and The Bucher Groups commitment to their clients and the community. We wish all professionals had the same work ethic and commitment!
