Beth was super organized from the beginning, getting all of our paperwork completed in advance, and scheduling handyman and staging services for the week after we were moving out. I first met Beth when I walked in to an open house she was holding. Yes it’s what a lot of buyers do and yes realtors like walk-ins who can become buy side clients. Beth did this very well- no pressure, very friendly, very competent. It was an easy call for me to follow up with her when some weeks later I got a link to a listing she thought might be of interest. I visited the following day, made an offer that same day, closed 4 weeks later. First question: in these days of Zillow and Trulia... do you still need a broker? Yes: as multiple others will confirm, online sites only get older listings- listings that are usually open longer for a good reason. Two: buying a house for most people is literally the big deal they make in their lives. It’s also a people deal. The seller is a person. Other competing buyers are in the deal. You have to make huge decisions at short notice with limited info (what is the least the seller will accept ? How high will other buyers go?). Since most of us only do this once or twice you quickly learn that there’s a reason brokers stay in business: the right ones really help. Beth is one of these brokers. When they say you need to trust your broker for us it meant having a broker who could talk tactics, think on her feet, anticipate problems, be a sounding board. That’s what Beth did for us: she was a vital partner in getting it done. And then the after service: diligent follow-up multiple times a day on all aspects of settlement, financing, recommendations on attorneys. Overall best in class service.
