Michael came to diagnose our a/c after being out for a day. The home warranty provider we have was unable to get us a company and Michael came through in the clutch. Hes kids birthday was today and even though he was done with his work day he still made time to make sure we were helped. His patience with answering our warranty companies questions and his knowledge with the repair are why we will be using him for the rest of our a/c issues. I cannot stress enough, if you have a/c issues this is your best option!

Not only did he do a tune up on both my Trane Units, but he found a number of issues, cleaned up wiring, added float switches to the drain pans. The list goes on. Well, it happened. Something in the attic finally went ‘ka-boom’! As fate would have it, it happened during one of the two nights in the year that it gets chilly here. Yes, I’m talking about our heater. And I’m also writing to you about it now in the cozy warmth of my home, thanks to Summit Air Conditioning & Heating.Let’s be honest: There are a lot of things I’d like to think I’m ‘good’ at, and HVAC systems are NOT a part of that. After a search of locally owned and operated businesses in the Central Texas region, I gave Summit a call. Their office team was warm and friendly, and happened to have same-day availability based on my location. Within an hour, I had the pleasure of meeting Mike and Kyall. I mentioned our experience with what happened and they immediately got to work.Attention to detail (shoe covers, closing the doors gently versus slamming, asking before entering rooms, general clean-up, check-in’s on repair progress) were second-nature to them. Knowledge and expertise about what the issue was, and an immediate solution, was made available straight-away. There was no pressure to take them up on repairs, either. Everything was laid out and options were discussed in detail.We decided to take them up on their repair suggestions, and within a couple of hours, the heater was offering warm and toasty vibes again. Because of their direct approach and honest advice, we also decided to establish a Maintenance Membership with them.All in all, a great first experience. Fast diagnose of the issue, honest presentation of their recommendations, and detailed and complete work. From the systems initial diagnosis, through the new system installation and then post checkup (before everything was officially wrapped up), what is not to like about this company and the services the team provided. Gotta carry on the trend of 5 star reviews with the team at Summit. Not only was Michael Anderson kind and respectful, to the point of calling me 30 minutes out to the scheduled time window of 2 hours, but he even wore the protective booties when he came into the house which I told him were not required. I initially scheduled a routine maintenance when I heard my fan start vibrating in the attic. I should have turned everything off when I heard that noise, because eventually the unit stopped blowing all together.By the time Michael arrived, I gave him the details, he inspected the air handling unit and my fears were confirmed. The fan blade broke loose and killed the motor. He quoted the repair, the spare parts, and ordered the parts within the 2 hours that he was here for the initial diagnosis on the system. I knew that maintenance had probably never been done for the HVAC system on this house since it was relatively newer build from 2018. We even tried to submit the claim against the original warranty on the equipment through Carrier which was no longer valid.The next day Mike had reprioritized his schedule to try to get my AC back working. Even though he was on target to arrive within the two hour window (12-2) for showing up, the dispatcher even called me at 1pm to say that he had been caught up a bit longer on the prior job. Epic communication! Mike called me a bit later to tell me he was 30 minutes out. Upon arrival, he went straight to work even allowing me to watch and explain to me more about how the system works as he pulled the blower motor and fan apart and replaced it. He cleaned up a bunch of shoddy wiring from the initial install, put in some grommets where their should have been some before, and tested out the system.Mike was a diligent technical expert who made his work look easy. It was not an inexpensive repair, but the fact that they got the part and rescheduled me back in the next day to get my system working is amazing. I was skeptical of going with some of the other local HVAC companies after reading some of the poor reviews. Summit did not disappoint with my decision to go with them. I signed up for the silver service plan with them to get them scheduled to come back again in the spring for the routine maintenance, (which most people dont know you should do) in hopes of getting the proper life span out of the rest of my HVAC system. Mike even checked out and did the service on the rest of the system while it was taken apart.My goal is to start adding some small upgrades to the system in the next few years (instead of paying huge repair fees) to increase the quality of the air in my home. This will include UV lights on the air intake, return, and eventually an ionizer. One other advise that Mike gave me was to replace the air filters every month instead of every three months. This is due to constantly running the fans for circulation, the Texas dust, and particularly if you have higher MERV rating air filters which I am assuming he could tell when he checked the consistency of the voltage/amperage to the new motor he installed. Either way, the system is running like a top again and I am glad I found my HVAC pro. Thanks Mike!

We were having issues with air balancing in our home. Some of our rooms were hot and others were cold, leading to pretty uncomfortable situations. Our technicians Kyall A and Cameron W arrived on time. They took time to understand our problem and took thorough measurements throughout the house to establish the baseline. Kyall had to test a couple of locations to establish which duct went where (it wasnt obvious from the locations of the ducts). They worked for over an hour to fine tune the air balance at our place and we could notice the difference. Above all, Kyall as well as Cameron were knowledgeable and took time to answer our questions. Overall were happy with the service and it has exceeded our expectations!

He came out after hours in a near emergency situation, and although the problem that existed was a bit tricky to find and discover, he vowed that he would find the problem. Through his relentless effort 2 problems were found, troubleshooted and a plan in place to get the AC up and running like its supposed to. Devon @ Summit AC is awesome! My AC went out over the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning and they were at my doorstep by 9:30am. AND they did a full diagnostic check to find the root of the problem. They were thorough and had my AC repaired and running cold by 2:30 pm. The only reason it took that long was because I had to think about the quote and do some homework. Way to go Summit AC!

Service man came out to tune up air conditioner. Compressor is up on garage roof. He told me it was noisy and fan motor needed replacement. Then he gave me an invoice showing fan motor replacement price of $1375.00. He did not even wash out the outside unit. I called my home warranty service to come out and fix it. They found my unit working normally. It was not making any loud noise. Service man washed it out with my hose before leaving!As a follow up: I was contacted by Nick, who came to my house, checked my A/C unit and confirmed that my old unit was operational and operating normally, and could possibly last another few years. He advised me that when it quits working I will need to replace my whole system due to the type of Freon used being no longer allowed. I do appreciate him taking the time to explain everything and returning my service fee. When it crashes I will be checking with Summit and pricing that new system.

Rich Foster from Summit came to my home to draft and offer a project proposal for replacing all the major components of my 17-year-old HVAC system. Rich listened to me, answered my questions, and demonstrated true knowledge of his craft. After conducting a thorough inspection of my home, he prepared a custom plan and explained in detail what needed to be done. Throughout the project proposal acceptance phase, I met with four project managers from different companies and Rich was the most impressive by a county mile! In the end, I chose to be loyal and selected a local company that has been servicing my home and faithfully maintaining my dying system for two years, but Rich my decision incredibly difficult. So, if you’re looking for a trustworthy and experienced HVAC partner, I highly recommend consulting with Rich and Summit.

My 20 year old air conditioner decided to die when its just about summer. It was just about 5 pm, I tried calling other places and either no one answered or no one could come out.I called Summit Air and was able to get an appointment that night, the technician came out and found the problem. He explained the problem and gave me a few options. We decided that it was best to replace the entire AC.They came out the next day and went over the different air conditioners, asked me questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted, and didnt pressure me to get anything unnecessary. They explained each step along the way!My AC was out Monday night and fully replaced by Thursday evening. I was able to finance with 12 months no apr so it hurts a little less :) works great!

Made a recommendation to add a sensor to detect issues early to avoid costly damage, and also provided a comparison for service call plus sensor vs. a service agreement that covered the whole year with reduced rates on visits and material. Ended up choosing the service agreement and look forward to the next visit. All I can say is I cant believe that this is the third time Ive used used this company and unbelievable that it was almost exactly the same situation around the same time in the afternoon on a Sunday each time when Ive had company from out of town and the AC went out. I texted the contact I had from Summit from the last time and they responded within 5 minutes - told me that they had a tech on hand, mind you this is a Sunday afternoon and told me to call their main line. Got a human person on the line within 3 minutes and told me that they would have someone out within the next hour and a half. 10 minutes later I received a text stating that a tech would be at my house within half an hour. Then I get another text from the actual Tech stating that he is on his way. Extremely personal service just like the last time and not only where they prompt, but same as the last one - it was an education on why what happened happened and what I can do to preventively maintain for the next time. I will never call anyone else in case this happens again. I went ahead and also purchased the maintenance plan which is on a case-by-case basis without a sign on contract- even saved me a deal because they were already out here on a call. The tech, Mike Anderson was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, not to mention professional. I requested him on the next call and he was glad to attach his name to the notes as well. Highly highly recommend! AC was up and running and house was back to temp within a couple of hours. Thanks, Nick, Mike and the whole Summit team!

I had a huge problem with another company (TX AC Specialist, owned by Strand). They refused to honor their warranty. I called Nick. He diagnosed the problem, got it fixed, did superb work, cleaned up. He checked the entire system and even recommended replacing a cheap electrical part installed by the bad AC company. Anyway Nick got everything working, the got the attic coil (an expensive part) replaced under manufacturers warranty. A GREAT JOB. Use Nick for AC.

We had the dreaded AC blowing hot air again and were referred to Nick Nicastro at Acme AC & Heating. Initially they sent Leo out to test for leaks in our system. We had leaks in both coils! (we have 2 units) Replacing both coils was going to be expensive and this was not our first time recharging the leaked refrigerant. We needed to consider installing 2 new systems. We had Nick come out and examine our overall HVAC system and discussed what we wanted. He prepared a couple of options, depending on our budget. We made our selection and were scheduled for installation the next week. Nick and his crew worked all day long to get 2 heat pumps, 2 air handlers, 3 thermostats installed and working and some duct modifications completed. Pretty amazing! We were very impressed with Nick, Leo, Michelle, and everyone at Acme AC & Heat. Great experience!Its actually been 3 months since the install and what a difference the new systems have made. They are way more efficient and my electric bills have dropped noticeably. Ill be using Acme for my annual maintenance and any future repairs!

AC stopped blowing cold. Found out the coil was corroded from a aluminum copper coil that came with the new house. Apparently all coils will eventually have to be replaced at around 5 years or so depending on how hard you use it and how often you clean it. He was on time and very professional got the work done very quickly went through agreed to the services. Definitely go for the maintenance option you get 15% off the services if you do that!

Our unit is running properly which is especially nice as we are reaching the summer months. He even called me on the following day to verify everything was working as it should. We had an issue with a control board that took several visits, diagnoses, and phone calls with the manufacturer before the problem was pinpointed and fixed. This was after several other companies came and dismissed the issue and/or would not put the time in to find and fix the problem and not just the symptom. I would never hesitate to recommend Acme and Matt to anyone and everyone who needs a good honest HVAC company. Would give 10 stars if possible.

I used ACME Air Conditioning and Heating right before the big winter storm. My unit started making a weird noise and ACME had some scheduled and out to my house right away. The technician, Nick, was great! He diagnosed the problem and had it repaired in a couple of hours. The cost was much less than I expected and I felt very fair. It has been a couple months since the repair and everything is still working great (even throughout the winter storm with the heater running nonstop!). I HIGHLY recommend ACME to anyone with HVAC issues!
