    On Friday last week, I had a rep from one of the big 5 plumbing come out and look form a leak. I paid $125 for a courtesy visit. They found nothing. I call Radiant on Saturday at 11 am and by 230 their technician was here. 20 minutes later he said he found the leak, outside, and he outlined my options. Well organized and efficient. His name was Jordan. Within 90 minutes he had the leak exposed - 3 feet underground. He showed me and gave me 2 options. Both good. I chose and within 90 minutes he had the repair completed. Fair price. Efficient. Good work and very forthright. 5 stars !

    Wayne from Radiant plumbing - air conditioning was awesome; he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Wayne explained what was going on as he worked on my Rinnai V65i tankless water heater - it wasnā€™t giving any hot water and prompting a code 10 error. He discovered and removed a wasps nest from inside the vent pipe outside of the house. Their price was very reasonable and he was done fast. They are now my service providers of choice for any future issues that I may encounter.I would also like to commend Serenity, she was the young lady that made the appointment for me last night, a true professional, sweet and patient with me - she made it all happen so effortlessly.I highly recommend Radiant.Wayne, THANK YOU!!!

    Update on my original 1 Star post. The company called and honored the $83 coupon. Cudos to them but if you intend to use their coupon be aware of the unknown fact about what service the $83 coupon applies to. Nothing in the ad mentions anything about the fact it only applies to main line cleaning not the line that runs from your kitchen sink to the main line. Actual bid once the tech arrived was $289.00 to unclog my drain. I do want to complement the tech Angel as he was very courteous and explained everything that was going on.

    I was extremely please with the experience of the water heater flush. Radient Plumbing contacted me to see if they could actually come earlier and worked with me to find a time that worked best. Wayne and Damien were very friendly and knowledgeable when I explained problems with water softener. They gave me estimates with an explanation of each choice and did not pressure me at all. I highly recommend them on their professionalism throughout the whole experience.

    Joseph was on time, did a great job replacing the emergency cut off valves under the kitchen sink at a reasonable price, once he looked at the faucet lines he noticed one was blocked. It was a manufacturer error, he didnā€™t try to hook everything back up & hide it. He showed me & cleaned everything up. Didnā€™t try to sell me anything I didnā€™t need, I appreciated that. Would 100% recommend them over any other plumbing & AC company.

They also videod the remainder of the plumbing to ensure no other issues were present.     Had the AC go out on our rental property. Called before noon and was told they would try to work me into their schedule for today. Was told honestly that it would most likely be after 6pm. At 2:34pm I got a call that they would have a technician on site within the hour. Kevin arrived 45 mins later and quickly diagnosed the issue. Made the repair and gave us info on options for replacement of the entire system. (Current system is 15+ years old) he knocked out the work and was gone before 5pm. Overall very pleased with the communication, punctuality and professionalism!

    I am extremely satisfied with Radiant. My a/c wasnt working one evening, after normal business hours of course. I went online at 12:30pm and was able to schedule a service call for the next day between 8:00am and 12:00pm. I received a text at 6:25am the next morning telling me that they had someone available to come between 8:00-9:00am! Kevin arrived at 7:45am and quickly had the issue identified and fixed in no time! With this crazy Texas weather, I was thankful to have everything fixed before it became unbearable inside. I highly recommend giving Radiant a chance next time youre in need!

    I had used Radiant in the past so they had my information in their records. I was able to geta plumber the very next day (which was a Friday). Jason Repman and another young man came out and immediately set to work. In a relatively short amount of time, they had the drain cleared. They charged much less than the other company I called on another plumbing issue.I was able to take advantage of an online coupon and saved $69 on this call.Both men were respectful, courteous and very professional. I can highly recommend both of these technicians. I actually needed to reach out to Radiant again on Monday as my dish washer refused to drain. Jason came back and spent time trying to resolve the issue. I ended up having to call the manufacturer as it turned out to be a problem with the machine itself.That was only after Jason spent some time reviewing the manual, everything under the sink and under the dishwasher. He was the same, upbeat and professional. I am happy to recommend both Jason and Radiant as completely reliable and dependable.In fact, I will be cancelling the standing contract I have with another company and switching to Radiant as their prices are more reasonable and their Care Club includes more services for less money than I am paying now. What I also like is that this company can also do AC/Heating/Plumbing checkups for one monthly charge.

    Thank you Radiant for having a tech come out same day when our AC went out. Troy was great and knew his stuff. He looked at everything and talked us through it. Unfortunately he wasnā€™t able to fix the problem that day and he was very apologetic. He even waived the after hours fee for us which we are very thankful for. Radiant is going to continue working with us to possibly get a new system installed.EDIT** deducted 1 star..we had a tech from another hvac company come out to look at our system and as soon as they showed up the sales advisor from Radiant immediately left saying they canā€™t be there if competition is there. So that was odd.

    Radiant reached out to me to do a free yearly inspection of my furnace and AC. At first, I was a little skeptical but agreed to have a technician come to my home. I received a visit from Eric, who was extremely knowledgeable about my AC system and taught me a bunch of stuff I didnt know. He took thorough photos and notes of anything to watch out for, and gave me some bids for potential cleaning/repair work that could be done. However, he wasnt pushy at all and I really appreciated him taking the time to educate me. I was impressed by the free inspection overall and thought Eric did a great job! When I have to call them they get it done the same day.Iā€™ve dealt with other companies in the past that never have the materials needed for the job and they take forever. But with Radiant Plumbing and A/C they are always prepared and they always surprise me on how fast they get the job done. Iā€™d rather pay full price than to go through my warranty!

    Radiant is wonderful. Their team was responsive and out at my home within hours of my call for help. Crystal was responsive to my questions and kept me informed of the availabilty of the technicians. Wayne and Jordan are great to work with. They are courteous, personable, and professional. Wayne quickly diagnosed the water main leak to the house and they were able to get water back to my home, with no leaks in short order. The old pipe was replaced and presumably I should never have to worry about that section of pipe again. I also had Wayne install a home filtration/water softening system. Professionally done. We sorely needed it. I trust Radiant for ther service and reasonable pricing. I understand you get what you pay for.

    Troy was absolutely amazing! My AC went out and he came and quickly got it up and going again and identified the issues so fast!     Troy did a great job at fixing our problem. He was knowledgeable and professional. He installed a thermostat and serviced our AC unit that was clogged and leaking. Took about 2 hours. Cost about $400 and I still have 2 free visits this year to get my AC unit cleaned and evaluated. Its been 2 hours since he left and our AC and thermostat work like new. Would recommend šŸ‘ŒšŸ½

    Troy Barnett and Kelt Bell were absolutely exceptional in their services for my hvac system. Troy was extremely thorough explaining to me in detail all of the components of my system and a possible diagnosis and answered all of my questions with precision and accuracy. Kelt Bell made his commitment to my needs by climbing in my attic in hot conditions and explaining to me what was going on.     Jason and Joe were amazing, professional, and timely, and I very much appreciate the quality of work they performed. I have a somewhat unique plumbing situation and have had half a dozen plumbers ghost me once they came to my house. Fearing the same result, I called Radiant. Joe showed up exactly when he said he would and spent the time needed to properly evaluate my situation. He came up with a plan that met my needs and at a price I could tolerate. The next day, Jason and Joe showed up on time and knocked out the work. I am very happy with this experience and will have them back for all of my plumbing needs.

    We scheduled an AC and Plumbing maintenance and both technicians Jason Repman and Eric Willett came by. I have nothing but great things to say about these gentleman for going above and beyond. They both educated me on my appliances and even recommended some upgrades within budget. Jason was also more than helpful with additional little things and questions my wife and I had. He didnā€™t have to help me with those additional things but he happily did! Kelt Bell then came by to finalize the financing and together all three of these gentlemen felt more like family by the end of our encounter and not just a business transaction.     I noticed a leak under the kitchen sink on Thursday evening. and called the 24hr. service line. Spoke to a articulate and helpful person who scheduled us for the following day (requesting a morning call). Was contacted by Radiant Dispatch around 0800 the next day (Friday) and was informed a plumber could be at our place within an hour or so. Mr. Jason Repman showed up on time and with a great can-do and cheerful attitude. After examining the issue he exited to his vehicle to prepare a bid for repair. I braced myself for an incoming bid-missile. The bid was very fair and reasonable; relief! The work was efficient, extremely thorough and actually exceeded my expectations because Jason was noticeably careful to make sure any peripheral issues were addressed as well. Bottom line: When we need a plumber again, we will be calling Radiant and requesting Jason in particular.

    Yet another edit:I have another issue with my 3 year old unit. Radiant came out to assess. The technician wasnt aware of coverages under the 10 year parts and labor warranty and tried to charge me over $100. For that reason, I gave a less than favorable review of the company ... not the technician. Since then the company has reached out twice to get details of what happened and went above and beyond to make things right. That means a lot.EDIT: I gave this company a 5 star rating when they were Schmidt Mechanical and they replaced my system. I have since had to work with them as Radiant and sadly, they no longer meet that mark (this is after verifying that those I have recently dealt with did come with Radiant and didnt carry over from Schmidt)1 year after installation 2 parts failed - 2 different parts with 2 different purposes, 1 inside, 1 outside. They are alleging both failed due to mfr defect. The technician and everything Ive read since indicate these parts fail due to technician error during installation or maintenance. Ive tried to explain this to several people and have had my intelligence insulted several times over. While the parts and labor were covered under warranty, I was seeking reimbursement for my hotel stay given that the equipment failure was the result of technician error and not mfr. Also, because of their poor communication, I had to spend an extra night in the hotel. They will not pay for my hotel costs but have offered 2 years (4 visits) of routine maintenance which they claim is a $478. I would never pay that, nor would they/have they ever charged that much for routine maintenance - another insult to my intelligence. Had I known I would have been stuck with Radiant for the next 9 years I wouldnt have purchased from Schmidt. I would never recommend Radiant.(After several requests, Im still waiting for an invoice for services rendered ... curious to see if my signature will be forged again as it was on the initial service invoice)Schmidt Mechanical review:Ive been shopping for a new heat pump system for 6 months. Over that time Ive had encounters with and received estimates from many local companies. To be honest, I feel bad for the people that dont do their homework and fall for some of their schpeels!Jared from Schmidt was BY FAR the most professional, honest and informative Rep I have ever met. (Hes really patient, too ... I ask a lot of questions) Instead of trying to up-sell me, he actually gave me sound advice based on my future plans with my home. I got the perfect system to meet my needs at a great value. (Again, Ive collected MANY estimates over the past 6 months!)Installation was not rushed. These guys were here for the entire day. Again, very professional and informative. They took care to protect my home and property and even left it cleaner than it was when they arrived!!With the warranties provided, Im set for the rest of my life in this home. I cant say enough good things about Schmidt.Addenda: Oops! Forgot! The unit I purchased came with a programmable, not wifi, thermostat. They would swap it with a wifi thermostat for $300 (it must be gold plated or something). I opted to purchase my own which they would install but not warranty. K. Next day my unit was cycling every 5 minutes. I called and they sent someone out same day. It was the thermostat. Whether it was the thermostat itself or the way it was installed I will never know. But, he did put the old one back on for no charge. (I purchased a Nest and installed it myself the next day)

    This is our third experience with Schmidt in the last 6 years. They installed our new unit in 2012 and weve had no problems with it beyond expected maintenance. They have always been dependable and reliable, communicating well about arrival times and estimates so there were no surprises. The two technicians that have been to our house were both professional and knowledgeable and gave us good advice. I dont know if they are the least expensive service but I think you get what you pay for and the peace of mind that comes with their service is worth it. Its also nice that they are locally owned and operated. I highly recommend Schmidt.

    I called Schmidt Mechanical to get a second opinion on duct work repairs and Im glad I did. Jared came out and did am assessment on our house and offered several options to fix out issue with certain rooms being hotter than others. They were able to rework a few runs and seal all the others. We werent completely satisfied at first but Schmidt sent a technician out and he was able to resolve our concerns. Again this was a second opinion and they saved us over $8,000 and completed work another company said couldnt be done. They definitely earned a customer for life and I was very impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, understanding, price and willingness to continue to come out until the job was done to 100% satisfaction. You dont often find companies like this so definitely refreshing when you do and to know they are not out to charge you for things you dont need.

    I contacted Radiant Plumbing because my home was no longer under warranty and I saw the great reviews online. My technician Gil Jones and Joseph McGow were very professional and provided great value. They provided several solutions for my plumbing issue that would help me save money. Plumbing issues can be expensive but I believe I was able to receive a quality solution at a great price.

    Our experiences with Schmidt Mechanical is shown in every star of the 5 star ratings. I would have clicked the maximum number whatever it was! Service was simply stellar. We had Heat Pump problems, Drain problems, and Hvac problems. We experienced the worst contractors over time and eventually got lucky getting Schmidt. Each service tech they sent fixed our problems, took the time to explain the situation and did the job quickly. The best thing I liked was learning how my house handled the different issues that I had. They took the time to listen to my questions while getting their job done expertly the first time. A wonderful company and with always cheerful, pleasant people when contact with them was necessary. Any A/C problems and well be back.

    Ive been using Schmidt Mechanical for a year and they seem pretty competent and honest. Their annual maintenance plan is a pretty good deal, $79 for two check-ups. Jose did my last A/C maintenance. He found a burnt-out capacitor and gave me several options for replacing it without being pushy. I told him I was thinking about replacing the whole system, and he gave me some information about that, too. He was very neat, polite, and respectful.UPDATE: Schmidt Mechanical sent Jared out to survey my system and give me a presentation on replacement options. He gave me 6 options. His presentation was polished and thorough. He explained the different options and features in a way I could understand. I feel like he listened to me, was respectful, and was responsive to my subsequent emails. I got a 2nd quote from another company, but they gave me only 1 option, didnt listen to me, didnt give any sort of presentation, and took over a day to even get me the quote after I reminded them. Consequently, I chose Schmidt Mechanical to replace my system. Now well see how the install goes.UPDATE: The install went well. The technicians were neat & courteous and explained how to use the smart thermostat. Ive had no problems so far.UPDATE: The thermostat stopped working, so I called Schmidt on the Sunday before Labor Day, and James came out within 2 hours. He diagnosed the problem right away, corrected the problem, and was on his way a short time later, and I had A/C again.UPDATE: The thermostat stopped working again. Matthew came out within an hour and diagnosed the problem as a wiring short. However, after installing a new thermostat, there was still a problem, which took several hours to troubleshoot and fix, but he stuck with it until it was resolved.

    I called Radiant plumbing in a panic, water was coming out of my lawn and I didnt know how or from where. Jason arrived much quicker than the time frame given... fortunately it wound up not being a water line of my own. Jason took images, made sure that the water break wasnt affecting my meter and assured me he would provide details so I could provide to SAWS. I paid the assessment fee of $39 which is fair and was advised to me when I called. I will definitely be keeping Radiant plumbings number for the future.

I felt reassured that my showers werent leaking, but may need a new water heater. Please come down on your prices. These guys are great, so long as you can afford them. If you use them ask for Gill.     We needed a new air conditioning system because ours was over 15 years old. I decided to get several estimates from different companies here in San Antonio. Each company seemed to have outrageous prices and wanted to put me into something that was above what I needed. I decided to try one more company, Schmidt Mechanical. I went on their website early in the morning and filled out my information asking for someone to contact me. By the end of the same day, Jared was sitting at our table. I told him specifically what I wanted and what I did not want, since I had gained quite a bit of information from my interaction with other companies. We had a lot of fun sitting at the table and talking about many things, but when he put pen to paper, and gave us three choices of product, service, warranties, etc., we knew right away that Schmidt Mechanical was far superior to other companies in town. We sealed the deal and decided that the following Monday would be installation day. Keeping in mind, that would be one week from the day that we sat down and closed. The very next night, our old unit decided to call it quits and we still had six more nights to go until we get the new system. I called the after hours service line and they sent someone out by 10 oā€™clock that night, but unfortunately the unit couldnā€™t even carry electricity to be repaired. They didnā€™t even charge me for that service call. The next morning I called the company to ask if they had any suggestions on what we could do in the meantime. They put their heads together to come up with a solution. We were very thankful to Keith when he called to tell us they were able to rearrange schedules and carve out time in order to have our new AC unit installed two days later. Schmidt Mechanical - professional, honest, dependable, excellent customer service -- a company you will not regret doing business with. Thank you Team Schmidt!

    The technician, Alex Rymers, that came to do a preventive maintenance and service on our furnace was fantastic. He was very professional and thorough and made sure to explain all his findings with us. We had an older unit that we knew would need to be replaced and Alex caught the problems before they became huge failures. We worked with Graham Jaroski to get a new unit. He was excellent at explaining all the options, getting financing set up and even got us scheduled for the next day. The crew that did the install did a great job. I will continue to call them for all my heating and cooling needs.

    Schmidt Mechanical serviced my air conditioner. It was blowing hot air. I called them today, and a service person came within an hour, which was much faster than I expected. He diagnosed the problem, fixed some wiring and replaced a blown capacitor, and got the AC blowing cool air again. He was professional, knowledgeable, polite, and wore a mask and shoe covers over his boots. I am a repeat customer of Schmidt, because they are honest and have always provided excellent customer service and skilled workmanship. I have an older AC, and their service plans for maintenance are great. As a platinum plan member, my service call fee of $59 was waived, and I simply paid for the repairs today.

    This was my first time having them come over to fix my AC and it was a great experience. The company provides outstanding customer service and are very professional. I like the fact that I get a phone call approximately 30 minutes from the technicianā€™s arrival time AND a text message with a picture of the tech along with their biography. It is such a unique experience and I love it. Our tech Jose Aranda was amazing too. We explained our situation and he identified the issue right away. Once he confirmed the issue he went out and got the part and had us fixed up in no time. This review doesnā€™t really do justice to the high level of knowledge, professionalism and courtesy we received from Jose and Schmidt Mechanical group. To sum it all up, I highly recommend their services and will continue to speak highly of them.

    What I liked about Schmidt Mechanical was all the pre and post communications that happened before the actual visit. I also received a text, with the technicians photograph, indicating that the tech was on the way and I could expect him within a certain amount of time. That is so very helpful and unlike other companies who keep you waiting like Time Warner...James Melton, the technician, was courteous and knowledgeable. I appreciated his 20 years of AC experience and his explanation of the work to be done as well as the benefits of the three levels of plans available. He told us that we could save money by going with the second level, the Gold Plan, and did not push the most expensive plan.We would like to request that James conduct our fall checkup as well.
