    My AC stopped working. I’m 69 years young and have asthma. My home warranty company sent me to M. D. Ellis. I called and let them know about my age and asthma. They fit me in and Mike their technician became my new best friend. He came, explained every step and fixed the problem. He was careful to not make a mess and was so kind and efficient.     MD Ellis went above and beyond when we had our HVAC coils leaking during thanksgiving week, days before closing on the sell of our house. They helped us navigate the replacement through our home warranty and were able to provide us with updates when our home warranty could not. Special shout out to Shannon! She didn’t mind our incessant calling, was proactive with our home warranty/finding of replacement, and she ensured the replacement happened prior to our closing date.

    We had MD Ellis install 2 new HVAC systems in our house. They replied very quickly with a quote & answers to all our questions. They did the installation the day after we agreed to use them & completed the installation of both systems in 5 hours. They were very careful with our walls, furnishings & light fixtures, & cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done. Both Mike & his wife are super knowledgeable & friendly & didnt try to up sell us on anything. Their prices are very reasonable & we are excited about continuing to use them for maintenance of the new systems. We highly recommend them.

    I was assigned another company by my home warranty company and they were terrible so I asked for another company and was assigned MD Ellis! I was called that same day and a technician came out the very next day. Caleb was efficient and friendly and took the time to explain the process.     Just wanted to provide a review on an AC issue I had recently.I originally had a clogged drain line, and MD Ellis came to clear.Since then, I had a somewhat related issue. Michael & Shannon came to inspect. They ended up resolving the issue, and did not charge me for the work that was somewhat related to first repair. I have used them for years now, and they have always taken good care of my family, and our needs. I will continue to recommend and use them, as they are honest, and caring people with big hearts.     Our AC quit working and we contacted our home warranty company, Landmark, to have someone come out and repair our unit. The first contractor they sent out said our problem was caused by a broken fan and bent fins as a result of improper maintenance. I fought with Landmark for over a week on this issue because we have had our AC tuned up every year for the past four years and never did anyone mention that additional work was needed on our unit. Finally they approved a second opionion. Mike diagnosed the problem as a faulty capacitor and repaired the unit on the spot stating that pre-approval from the HW company was not required for capacitors. Also told us that a small amount of bent fins was completely normal and did not have an impact on the efficiency of our AC. We coulnt have been more pleased with his honesty and quick repair.

    This company is by far one of the best AC contractors I have worked with. Not only were the professional, they explained every step they took, showed examples of asked for, and they did not leave until either the project was completed and passed their inspection, or they required more work, which was explained prior and they came back next day to complete first thing. Their customer service is also amazing. No transferring to different departments for minutes on end, longest I had to wait was a normal phone ringing. Everyone shared information and always was able to be in and out of the call in under 5 min. They also returned called SAME DAY! Which is huge compared to others

    Mike and his team at MD Ellis are my heroes. My home warranty company originally sent over a different company that couldnt get the job done and did not respect my time. I had to have someone new take over. Thats where Mike came in, with a great attitude and friendly smile. He arrived early within the time window, got right to work and fixed the problem as best as he could at that time. He explained everything to me as he did it. It turned out that what I really needed was a new A/C unit. Mine was from 1997! He was able to help me with that too. Again, his team showed up on time, got right to work and had that big installation job completed in about 30-45 minutes. They were polite and professional. Even the woman who called to arrange everything was wonderful. I cant say enough good things about this company. This is my new go-to for any repairs like this.

    Over the past 2 years Ive hired this company twice and they always deliver! Mike showed me how to reset my unit when needed, and recently they replaced a bad motor within 24 hours. All of this work was done for thousands less than the previous 2 companies quoted me for. If you are looking for people who do the job right and are honest, look no further.

    I am once again amazed at how well M.D. Ellis did working on my A/C unit. I have an older home that the first owners did not service the A/C 😡. Last month I needed a new coil for the unit. Mike took care of it and had my A/C cooling my house again on the same day. Yesterday another professional tech came out to do a spring cleaning on my dirty unit and it REALLY made a difference. Friendly employees, timely service, as well as fair prices. I think very highly of this company.

    I wish I could give more stars. Ive had 3 different companies come out in the past 2 weeks. And yes received 3 different answers. I was referred by a friend to MD Ellis. When I tell you thorough professional kind and caring. Im speaking of Javier!! He was very polite from the start. He explained as well as showed me everything he said needed to be done. He was even polite in saying... my words here This is garbage just get a new system. He explained theres no need in you keep repairing. Its more cost efficient to buy a new system. I could write longer but you see the 5 start. JUST CALL THEM!!!!!!!

    This is my first time using this company but so far I am a fan. I arrived home from work to find out the A/C is blowing hot air so our warranty company sent out MD Ellis Refrigeration. They were able to make it out the next day and showed up on time. They checked the thermostat, the A/C in the attic and the outside fan. The fan was the culprit. They replaced the motor and cleaned the fan for me. They even gave me free advice on the state of my vending machine and how to fix it. I was impressed with how much one of them knew about my vending machine from the early 80s. I hope in the future they continue to provide excellent service. ( 5 stars for service, timing and friendliness, - 1 star for not cleaning up the old motor/parts, + 1 star for vending machine advice )

    Placed a call into my warranty company and they dispatched M. D. Ellis. Donald called when he was on his way and showed up promptly during the allotted time frame. He quickly evaluated the issue and showed the cause of the problem to us. Soon after the repair was done, the AC was back to normal. Donald was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely contact them again.

    Mike was great. I appreciated how he explained how he tuned up my AC unit, and offered valuable suggestions on how to keep it running smoothly. He changed the filter and discovered that the original factory filter from 2 years ago was still in place and hidden behind the old filter! Yikes! I didnt even know it was there. Thanks Mike!     Had a great experience with MD Ellis Refrigeration. I was originally introduced to the company as a result of a home warranty claim, but have called on them again as a preferred provider. The owner, Mike, is friendly and easy to work with. He cares about his customers and their safety/comfort. Facing freezing temperatures, Mike made a same day visit to my house when my unit clicked off. He identified and fixed the issue quickly. I will use MD Ellis for all of my HVAC needs.

    This was my first time using this company, and they were awesome! Caleb was the tech on site who wasted no time on the issue and went straight to the source of the issue after 2 minutes of conversation with me on what had happened with the unit. Caleb was in and out of my property within 30 mins with my issue fully resolved. The lady who answered the phone when I initially called was also great.     Mike is excellent! Great customer service! Mike Will tell you what is really needed to fix your air conditioner. We had another company try to scam us and make up problems about our air conditioner. He’s a great business man and owner. New conditioner working great. He gave us our options. M.D. Ellis technicians, especially Bryan and Mike, are highly experienced and knowledgeable, very professional. They were able to not just detect the AC failure but managed to work hard with the warranty company in order to install a new evaporator unit! They truly care about customers, are willing to help and ready to do a little magic for them. I will certainly recommend M.D. Ellis Refrigeration to my friends and neighbors.

    We had a service technician from Goettl yesterday who came out and looked at our A/C and compressor. He informed us that we needed a new A/C (in which ours is older and will need replacement soon). However, he didnt do anything to fix it in the meantime, removed the part that it needs to power on, and we sat in this hot house all night and had to buy a portable A/C cause it was 100 degrees outside & 89 degrees in the house... Since they wanted to replace the whole thing, I called my home warranty... and waited the next day in the hot house that they left us in...Then the next day, we had an appt scheduled w/ MD Ellis who came to service us as they were the referral from our home warranty. Caleb comes out and looks at the compressor, fixed a part that needed to be fixed, and got it done in about 30 mins. Thats all it took!!! Next thing I know, cold A/C is coming out of the vents inside the house!!!I cant believe the other company left a pregnant woman (whom I informed was pregnant yesterday) in a hot house with no A/C, just so they could get us to purchase a new one! Ridiculous!Call MD Ellis, they were fast, friendly, reliable & overall Im so so grateful. Stressed & sweating in this hot house for one easily replaceable part!!!! So grateful for your great service and friendly technicians!!!

    I was really impressed with MD Ellis. I have dealt with some pretty crummy AC technicians here in the San Antonio area that do a slop job, in that they never diagnosed the root cause of the problem and fixed the AC system.Mike came out to my home earlier this week. He was very professional. He ensured there were no leaks with my system (something previous technicians failed to do). He checked Freon levels and made sure my system was operating the way it should.I would recommend MD Ellis. I will be using them for my future HVAC needs.

    These guys are very informative and honest about the condition and longevity of your unit. They will guide you on the best ways to prolong the life of your unit, and warn you of potential or imminent issues which may be plaguing your unit so as you are not taken by surprise.
