    I bought a new heat pump AC system from Intelligent Air this summer and had a great experience with the installation. When the condenser unit failed a few months later, I called in and they got me on the schedule for the same day. Mike was at my house within a couple hours, and he went above and beyond to identify the issue and make sure that he could replace the unit for us. He did a great job explaining exactly what had happened, and what he was working on at every step. Everyone I have interacted with from Intelligent Air has been extremely knowledgable and professional, and has helped me to understand my system. I absolutely trust them with my business!

    Our issues were multiple but after several attempts we finally got heat. Michael was the best and even came out after dark to try to get the heat strips working. They do stick with it till they find the issues. I would hire them again.

    Anyone who has had AC work done knows it can be a time-consuming nightmare. I called yesterday afternoon and my appointment was set for first thing this morning (not a few days or few weeks from now, like with many AC companies.) Michael was on-time, efficient, and got our AC diagnosed and running in no time.Update: We had an issue with our condensate drain line and iAir responded as they always do: quickly and efficiently. Jesus replaced the broken line, despite the constant harassment from my dogs on the other side of the fence.

    Intelligent Air has come through after other Austin A/C companies have left me hanging (Ive got stories of delays & the wrong parts ordered, but Intelligent Air has never done that). Intelligent Air has excellent technicians. The person who answers on the phone (not sure if shes the office manager or owner) is very pleasant and on top of things. Ive used them a few times now. Most recently, my A/C went out on a Friday afternoon. I called, and they were able to schedule a technician who came out Saturday morning & had it fixed within an hour at a very reasonable charge.

    Intelligent Air has always been quick to respond with any questions or issues weve had. Recently weve had Michael come to our house for service and each time hes come over hes gone above and beyond. He does a great job explaining everything hes doing as well as make sure everything is 100% operational before he leaves. Unfortunately you dont see that too much anymore, as companies are too focused on being in and out as quickly as possible.

    Very honest and great service. I wanted to cool down an area in my house that doesn’t have an attic, originally they send a guy who said we have to do a mini split, which is very expensive. Then the owner came over to assess the situation and came up with a way to wire the duct over through the wall. It saved me from this past crazy summer thanks a lot.

    I had Mike Davis at my house due to some of my rooms not cooling or heating the way they should. Not only did he fix our problem. But he walked me room to room showing me the difference in the air flow out of each of the vents. And told me what the problem was but told me how he was going to fix them in a way I was able to understand. He was polite and very helpful. Not only did he fix our issues but he made sure it was done right and the least expensive route. Not only will I be using this company again but I assure you Im letting everyone know.     I didnt end up going with iAir for my new minisplit, but it wasnt for lack of knowledge and service, but only because I chose a different brand. LaCounte came out and assessed my system and was very helpful during the decision process. Their bid was the best for the brand they offered and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a new system or service.

    I cant say enough good things about Intelligent Air. They are always responsive, returning messages promptly and arriving on time for appointments. I am on their subscription plan, and for a couple of call, Michael has been my technician, and hes phenomenal. Hes really great at explaining whatever the problem is and what has to be done to solve it. He has even helped with figuring out what has to be done now and what can be done later. I really appreciate his honesty and candor. I have never felt that he or Intelligent Air were out to just sell me services that I might not need. I trust Michael and Intelligent Air to do great work and to give me the right advice. If you need HVAC services, you cant go wrong with Intelligent Air--and ask for Michael.

    I called LaCounte and iAirServices to fix a new install job by another company that went horribly wrong.They were professional, thorough, detail oriented and fixed everything that was not right with the previous install. They were able to make the temperature 5 to 6 degrees cooler, make everything nice and up to code, and significantly reduce the static pressure.If you are thinking of getting a new AC call these guys. They pay 100% attention to detail and will make sure it is done right to the specs of manufactures installation guide. There is a major difference between having a single AC technician installing your unit vs and installation crew where people are specialized. You will not have to worry about your install being done correctly.They might be a tad bit more expensive, but I assure you that investment will go a long way in having your unit installed correctly and having ZERO corners cut.We scheduled and they came out did the following (and probably more) :1) Increase the return plenum for proper rebound zone.2) Increase the supply plenum from 4 with a terrible workman ship to 8 with something picture worthy. Note: having a larger supply plenum is important part of duct design and helps with air flow.3) Increase a return duct size to get appropriate return air,4) Straighten existing duct work to remove restrictions.5) Install furnace and evaporator coil per instructions. This is where they fixed specifically what the instructions said not to do which was done incorrectly by original installer.6) Fix the electrical wiring outside to meet code.7) Fixed the low voltage wiring to the outside unit that had the protective insulation worn off. This probably saved me an electrical short and thousands of dollars of damage a year or so down the road.8) Sealed/glue the condensate pvc drain line. Seriously, the original installer did not even do this?9) Moved the air scrubber to the supply side of the unit so I will work more effectively.10) Remove all refrigerant, vacuum, pressure test and retest the unit to make sure there was nothing bad in the line.11) Fixed furnace exhaust pipe to go to the right direction.12) Fixed furnace exhaust to go to correct size outlet.At the end of the day the static pressure decreased from 1.4 to .9 and a 5-6 degree temperature drop but LaCounte wants the static pressure number better/lower. So they are going to come back and increase some of the supply ducts in our bedroom and living room because they are undersized and are not getting appropriate air to them.The crew itself fast, efficient, courteous, meticulous, and cared about the craftsmanship. Heck, they even vacuumed up in the attic. Yup - that is right. They cleaned up after themselves very well and even cleaned up their mess in the attic.These guys are installation artists. LaCounte, his crew, and iAirServices care about quality and will not cut corners. If you need a new AC, call them. You will know that everything will be done right and if something isnt 100% right they will fix it. And they will be transparent... LaCounte said he is not happy with the static pressure number and they will come back to fix it by increasing duct size.If you purchase a new AC system, say a 16 SEER, and the install job is so terrible like mine was, it does not operate at 16 Seer. TBH, I would be lucky if the original installation were as effective as a 11 or 12 seer unit.I am curious to see how this system will handle a 15 degree day, but I suspect it will do quite well. I am lucky to have found these guys to help get us out of a mess. Learn from my mistake and call them first.Im having trouble posting the long review as the character limit was too long....I need to figure out a way around this.

    Miguel stopped by to check my indoor and outdoor unit for a preventative maintenance. He did a fantastic job explaining everything he was going to check and even rinsed off my outdoor condenser unit coils. He thoroughly checked out my attic unit and made sure it was running optimally. He checked and cleared out my condensate line just to be sure there wasn’t any debris obstructing the line. Great job!Thanks Intelligent Air

    I have had a lot of issues with our mini split AC system. Everytime there’s an issue, Mike Davis is able to identify the problem, lay out the possible options, and able to fix the issue. Mike really knows how these systems work and is the technician I trust the most. He even offers up his personal number should something stop working correctly after he leaves the appointment and will return. Due to number of issues and dollars spent on replacing parts of this system, I can’t give this a 5 star rating. But I do appreciate iAir’s responsiveness and willingness to help.

    IAir installed our HVAC unit in our home a few years ago, and weve had a few follow up service appointments since then to diagnose and troubleshoot some issues. When things dont work perfectly, that can be frustrating, but two things about iAir stand out that have made me really pleased to give them my business: 1. The owner stepped in to resolve our concern when we had initial problems, and he was very responsive and showed that hes a man of his word, so iAir has earned my trust. 2. Big kudos to their technician, Michael Davis, who knows his stuff, is great at keeping us informed of progress during his work, and all-around has been a pleasure to work with.

    We had an amazing experience with iAir Services! We had been struggling to keep the house cool and comfortable for 2 1/2 years after buying our home, and we were very frustrated. Daniel and LaCounte did a thorough diagnosis of our existing system and quoted us on everything from repairing the current system to completely replacing it. We chose to replace the system. All of the employees who came to do the work were polite, conscientious of keeping the house clean, and hardworking (they put in 12 + hours on the first day!). Les, the owner, stopped by on several occasions to check in on the progress of the job, and after it was all done, gave us a thorough explanation of the system and how to set the thermostats.Now that it is all done, its like we live in a different house! The air is comfortable, moving around more, and feels amazing! Throughout the process, Les and LaCounte mentioned that the new units would be much more efficient. We have solar panels and closely monitor our energy usage, and they were right. Our new units use 75% less energy than our old ones and the house feels great.When making a large purchase such as this, its important to find a business that does quality work, stands behind their product, and has high expectations of their employees. This company meets all those standards and more. Highly recommended!

    Call Intelligent Air Services for your AC needs! I cannot state how amazed and impressed I am by Intelligent Air Services! Highly highly recommend! I arrived home late Friday to learn my house was a balmy 80 degrees. I looked and the thermostat was high because I turn it up during the day to 78, but not 80 and it was running. So I have a warranty with American Home Shield which I cannot wait to end – not worth the money. I called to get service and the soonest they could get someone out was Wednesday, but “maybe Thursday.” So I thanked Jesus that the temperatures outside had cooled down from the 100 plus and thought, well maybe I can wait till Wed/Th. But – I decided to call a few other AC co’s and only one called back immediately and sent someone within 2 hours of me calling and did not cost me an arm and a leg. The service technician called me 30 minutes before he arrived to let me know he as on his way. Got here and had it diagnosed and fixed within 30 minutes of arrival and again – did NOT charge me a arm and a leg and all on Saturday! It even started pouring rain on him right at the end and he made sure all was well and still took his time to make sure I was good and squared away! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Company! I found them via Stroll Magazine too!!     Wow, thank you, and highly recommend are the words that come to mind when thinking about my experience with intelligent air service. It’s the Texas summer with a record breaking number of days over 100. I had an AC unit blowing hot air - of course it always happens on a Saturday! They had someone out to assess the unit within 12 hours. I knew it was old (1997!) and just a matter of time. They had a new unit installed inside and out the next day! And, at a price MUCH cheaper than the other companies I called. Quality work, done quickly. What more can you ask for? They were professional and communicative through the entire process. They’re honest, fair and do great work. 5 stars!

    My A/C unit has given the iAir technicians some tough challenges, such as an illusive shorted out wire. Theyve approached each issue with diligence & professionalism, and my A/C was fixed. Im impressed by every aspect of iAir including their very pleasant office staff who listen carefully & have gotten us on the schedule quickly. Their technicians have explained the issues clearly, and theyve been tenacious in making sure everything is fixed. I feel confident that theyre professionals who know what theyre doing.     We have a newer home in S Austin with two HVAC units covering the main home and the second smaller unit covering the master area. Both are Trane high efficient units. In addition we have an Aprilaire dehumidifier for use as the house has full foam insulation in the attic. It came as a requirement from the builder and sold as a package. The problem in general was that the dehumidifier was on a timer regardless of the necessity of the air conditioning systems. A couple of maintenance calls convinced me something didnt make sense. I contacted Aprilaire for their best dealer in town and they recommended Les, Intelligent Air Services, company. I am surely glad I did. He is very familiar with integrating both units to work together with the Aprilaire dehumidifier so they all collaborate in sync.We recommended and installed an intelligent Aprilaire controller in the attic with a fancy controller inside the house and now I see what its going on at a touch of a button. Les sent me his best installer Johnny and he went well beyond the job to finish the installation and do a complete update of everything related. Suddenly all makes sense and the individual units talk to each other.I cant stress enough how good the experience was. I am finally happy with someone who really understands HVACs, and is on our side. To summarize: Outstanding work. Very knowledgeable owner. Pleasure to work with. Highly recommended

    Right before we moved into our new house our entire AC system went out and needed to be replaced. In typical fashion the home warranty was useless and the company they sent out provided terrible service and wasn’t helpful. I was frantically getting bids for the replacement system because it was 100+ degrees in the house. I went through five different HVAC companies in the process who all claimed they would be able to provide the best service and get a final approval for the Austin Energy Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Rebate + Loan program. The amount of dishonest and overpriced bids that I received for substandard equipment blew my mind. In my last attempt to find a provider I called iAir Services and had the pleasure of speaking with LaCounte. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the entire process. All work was completed to the specifications of the Austin Energy Home Performance program and the equipment provided was all high quality. The price came out to be exactly where our budget needed to be and we received amazing service with great communication from the entire team at iAir Services. I highly recommend them and have started referring them to friends and family. We look forward to a long-lasting relationship with iAir Services for any future needs we might have.     This was the best experience we had with an air conditioning servicing company hands down. We had an urgent need for AC repairs as we have elderly parents at home (as the temperatures are in triple digits). After being turned down by 10 plus companies, Eugene showed up within 30 minutes, understanding our urgency and rescheduling his other calls.     I am really appreciate Michael Lapaglia from Intelligence Air Services. I’ve been suffered from loud noise A/C fan outside my window from my rent apartment and many sleepless nights wake up miserably, but still the maintenance team from property couldn’t find out and they keep telling me to believe nothing wrong with it!I’ve tried week to call around looking for private contractor, and feel such a relieve until Michael came! He was listening to me patiently and answer my questions professionally, 20 minutes he know whats going on, he contacted to the property manager, let hime know and now he have no excuse or delay fixing it up for me, it’s been 6 months.Thank you and thank you, you have no idea the feeling of when some one doesn’t trick you in something you don’t know and genuinely try to help you, that’s priceless. The price diagnosis is very reasonable, the lady on the phone have such a friendly voice and reassure me they will show up and they did, one of company before didn’t show up on appointment because my consider not emergency:(.     Working with iAir Services was a straightforward, easy process. The quote was broken down by item with no jargon or sneaky fees. Lacounte (estimator) was quick to remove services we declined and send updated paperwork, and Charlotte (office personnel) was pleasant to speak with and extremely responsive when scheduling. Technicians Joe and Jordan were great to work with - they checked in and out with me on each visit, cleaned up their mess, and made sure to explain each aspect of the work to me. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The work seemed reasonably priced to me, and both Lacounte and the technicians went out of their way to give further recommendations on other repairs, but were not pushy at all. I highly recommend this company!Oh, and a quick edit to add that they wore masks the entire time, not letting it slip below their nose or removing it to talk to me. They were also careful to keep 6 of distance.

    I have never had a show-up issue w/Intelligent Air, and have usually felt like I got more work and analysis than I was billed for. That having been said, IA is definitely not a discount or volume provider--but then, you generally get what you pay for. And amid the swamp/desert cycles that now prevail in Central Texas, a good deal means a repair/service that sticks and is performed on time. This has surely been the case with Intelligent Air at each location theyve provided help to us.We were super happy with Eugene.     Short VersionI called LaCounte and iAirServices to fix a new install job by another company that went horribly wrong.They were professional, thorough, detail oriented and fixed everything that was not right with the previous install. They were able to increase the amount of air flow, make the temperature 5 to 6 degrees cooler, make everything nice and up to code, and significantly reduce the static pressure.If you are thinking of getting a new AC call these guys. They pay 100% attention to detail and will make sure it is done right to the specs of manufactures installation guide. There is a major difference between having a single AC technician installing your unit vs and installation crew where people are specialized. You will not have to worry about your install being done correctly.They might be a tad bit more expensive, but I assure you that investment will go a long way in having your unit installed correctly and having ZERO corners cut.I have a long version of this review that exceeds character limit.

    I needed to replace my HVAC system at my business. I contacted several companies including Intelligent Air because of their ratings. Clay was very helpful in getting me the price and answering my many questions and coordinating the install to accommodate my stores schedule. Daniel was in charge of the install and he and Angel and Carlos did a great job. Daniel and Angel were constantly talking about what options would work best as they went through the process of tearing out a 20 plus year old system and fitting in the new system. It was clear that they new what they were doing and were working together to get the best result. They helped me set up the new wifi thermostat and answered all my questions before they left. John stopped by a few days later to meet the city inspector and make sure the inspection went well and to make sure that I was completely happy. They filed the paperwork for a rebate from the city and because it was the first time filing a commercial rebate, there was a little confusion but we worked together with the city and got it right. I would highly recommend Intelligent Air for any HVAC needs.

    17 July 2021 UPDATE: Since our units were so old, we decided to replace everything. LaCount came over and provided us with options, we chose one best for us and installation was scheduled. To say Edgar and his team rocked the install is an understatement. They got here Saturday morning, VERY professional, and worked in the Texas heat to replace the A/C, outdoor unit and furnace. When they were done, they cleaned up (probably better than it was when they got here), Edgar answered all our questions and off they went leaving us cool and happy.     For the past three years we have been undergoing a custom home renovation (has probably taken this long due to the Magnolia/Fixer Upper boom) on our Mid-Century Modern/Contemporary home in Waco, TX. Our project was divided into two phases. Phase A had (poor) installation of an LG Mini-Split. Phase B had wrong size Carrier units for the space. We had given the installers ample opportunities to diagnose and correct various issues that we have now on both sides. Finally I refused to allow them over any more so we hired a second company thinking they had some solutions to the issues with our new HVAC systems. I soon learned that although they tried, they too fell short of the level of knowledge needed to help correct our issues.I knew of a young man who works at Intelligent Air Services in Austin, TX and knew him to have integrity and a great work ethic so I decided to contact them and just see, if by chance, they would consider coming to Waco to, once and for all, diagnose our issues and offer some solutions we could rely on. They were up for the challenge and the distance.What I did not tell them was that I had previously had a Carrier Representative from Dallas come down to assess the Carrier units. I wanted them to give me their own report so I could determine if they were competent enough to do the job at hand. They diagnosed our issues when no one else in HVAC was able to - no matter their promised level of expertise.My experience has been that the LG Mini-Splits are not as user friendly as Carrier Mini-Splits (I think those are the ones that iAir installs...) but iAir was able to identify several issues with the LGs that need correcting, as well.They were prompt (a biggie for me), well groomed and considerate of our property. They were efficient while here and after leaving, comprised a report within several days to submit to us so we would have all of their findings and solutions in writing.I think their prices were very reasonable, especially coming so far out of Austin, and dont feel like they overcharged us just because of where we live.When we are ready to correct our issues we will definitely get on iAirs schedule for them to come back up and take the job! I have had interactions and experience with many subcontractors on this job and I wouldnt think twice about purchasing new equipment if that is what iAir recommended. I believe they are really good at what they do and would only recommend what is really needed. Thank you.

    Ive asked them to intall an Air Purifier.Mr. Lacounte came to check the system and make sure the whole HVAC system was propery funcioning. He found that the static pressure was too high and showed how the home builders did a sloppy job in some parts. He was not pushy at all, it was me that was suspicious about a few things like the return air vent was too loud in my bedroom. He not just confirmed the pressure problem but also showed me all measurements he did, downloaded the HVAC manual in his tablet and showed me the values that were supposed to be in place but were not, and pointed other things that would help, like adding a third return air vent to the house (since its a big house). The HVAC blower was adjusted to work on max speed and with the suggested changes, it would be able to work on a lower speed which would also save energy.The initial quote came quickly. I asked for adjustments and those were prompty done. After signing the contract, they called me to scheduled the job to the next day.The crew came on time. The project took londer than expected but no additional charges were made, neither they asked for any money in advance. Their work was not disruptive for my family of 7, they worked as quietly and as clean as possible (using painters clothes and other techniques so my house didnt get dirt as they came in and out or when cutting the ceiling), there was a misunderstandings about the additional return air vent that was promptly addressed when I pointed that out, they have communicated with me on various occasions about the progress so I wasnt left in the dark.The system is now so quiet I didnt even realize it was running until hours later they left the house. Im very well satisfied with that.After the work was done, Mr. Lacounte followed up with questions and concerns that were also addressed very quickly.

As the winter storm was approaching Austin today, our upstairs AC/heating zone quit. I mean nothing. Thermostat dead, and no way to get it going. Normally I wouldnt sweat it, I mean its upstairs. But it turns out our kids/grandkids are staying with us right now, so I called iAir. Literally within 1 hour a tech showed up, went right to the problem, and figured it out. Super nice guy, very carefully explained everything, and was out of here in less than an hour. The heat unit was pushing too many amps and tripping the breaker. He simply adjusted it and all good. Afterward the owner of iAir called me to make sure all was ok. Class act. Highly recommended.
