    Ewing Air Conditioning and Heating is the absolute best in the business! I have been using David and his team for over 10 years! David always answers any phone questions quickly, is always on time, extremely fair with pricing (compare it, you will see)! This is the most amazing, hard-working, trusting team of guys I have, and will continue to ever use at my home! Replaced old 2-ton and 4-ton complete units with 18-Seer Amana 2 days ago... working great, they are super efficient, super quiet... and the work performed could not have been better!! Seriously, if you are looking to get repairs, replacements, somebody who cares about his customers, or anything in-between... call up David Ewing and his team! 5-Stars (id give it 6 out of 5 if I could)! The only thing I need now is a piece of glass in my ceiling so I can marvel at the artwork in my attic!

    Professional Service!!Omar replaced my Furnace and Coil in a timely manner. The guys are very professonal in their work and they also gave us advices on how we can prolong the lifespan of our unit! David is very professional and honest.     Our AC unit decided to finally give out in the middle of July and we needed a replacement unit that was within our budget. After consulting with a few companies and getting recommendations from other homeowners, we spoke with David from Ewing who was able to get us a great price on a new unit. He provided us with all the information we needed without trying to up-sell additional equipment/services that we didnt need. Within a few short phone conversations, he provided us with a quote, had our equipment ordered and the work scheduled. His team arrived on schedule and finished the job earlier than we anticipated. Installation was professional and painless. Were now enjoying the comfort of our new AC unit. We cant thank David and his crew enough for saving the day. Thank you Ewing!

    Wonderful experience. David and the crew (Omar and co.) did not disappoint me in any way.Our Job ... (2600 sq ft home)- Remove: all existing air ducts (15) & plenum, old AC compressor /Air Handler, old compressor pad (concrete), and vent registers (on ceilings).- Install new 18 Seer Amana system (heat pump), new concrete pad, thermostat (fancy), new ducts and registers. Seal all ducting and register boots at ceiling and plenum, provide dampers on ducts feeding the home, added 2 new ducts and 1 new return (to correct poor air flow within the home).- Clean upAnd all this was done in 1 (long) DAY!! The crew arrived early in the morning, on time as arranged, and within 10 minutes were in the attic dismantling the old system. They were careful and took obvious care in maneuvering bits and pieces of equipment (out/in) through the house.Value Add ... David helped us not only with providing a good value on the equipment and install, but also in our desire to correct the mistakes of the past with regards to poor installation of the original (failing) system as well as correct the lack of adequate insulation. He did this by listening to my ramblings of what all I thought needed to be done, then providing feedback and suggesting contacts who could help me achieve the desired overall goal.Summary ... To my friends (the ones I like :) ) I highly recommend you give Ewing a chance to impress you with your next HVAC installation project. I think youll find good value and a service oriented approach.And, although my experience with Ewing A/C is limited to my research and 1 very involved job. My feeling is that its potentially one of those vendors / providers of a service who you think twice about with respect to providing a reference for to those people you know are difficult to deal with .... you know, that jerk friend who wants to know how you saved some money somehow. ... because I wouldnt want to burden David with them!!Bonus anecdote ... About a year ago Id contacted David about doing a service call on my old system. This was my first contact with him.He took the time to talk with me for 15 minutes or more during which I learned he was based in Wylie. And while theyd be happy to range to Rockwall they dont generally work on systems they do not install.At the time this caught me off guard ... who turns down business?! .......well, maybe someone that is busy enough and doesnt want to over-extend, and/or someone who wants to foster long term customers with a known starting point. Or my personal favorite ... someone who doesnt want to try and put band-aids on something that was done before they got there?!What ever the reason .. I find it refreshing in a sense.... but I still had to get the old system fixed so I used another vendor who was happy to take my $$.

    Ewing AC is the local business that you can trust and rely on. David is professional, knowledgeable and honest. I asked David to replace my old AC 2 months ago. He came to my house to inspect my AC unit. He explained to me that I just needed to replace the inside unit and the outside unit was still in good condition. By keeping the outside unit that saved me thousands dollars. The result is very good. The house is much cooler even when outside is over 100 degree in the past few weeks. We used to need an additional noisy portable AC to keep the room cool and we are no longer need that any more. Our electricity bill cut down about $200 last month. I am very satisfied with Davids work, more importantly, he did not overdo unnecessary work to get more money.

    We just had an AC system installed by Ewing Air. Hands down, this is one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. David responds very quickly and he’s been in business for so long that he is extremely knowledgeable. I’m extremely impressed with the quality of the new A/C system. It’s very efficient, quiet and cools amazingly well! His install lead, Omar is extremely professional and is very meticulous with his work. He’s been with them a long time. They arrived promptly and worked diligently the whole day. They were so careful with my floor making sure to lay mats down everywhere. I have complete trust in his crew. I know that if I have any needs or questions in the future, this company will be there for me!

    I hired Ewing air for a central air installation in a home I’m buying. Nothing but a great experience! David went above and beyond to try and get our business, and was communicative through the whole job.     Right in the middle of this terrible heat wave both my air conditioners quit working. I called David at Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating. He answered and came right out to help me. He gave me repair and replacement options. Due to the age of my units I opted for replacement of one and servicing the other. Davids Lead Man Omar and two coworkers came out promptly at 7:00am to start my install. Everything went very well and David came by several times to check the progress of the work. I was very pleased and surprised when the install was completed and the system was up and cooling my house by 11:30am that same day. Everything works great.     The entire process, from my initial call to David through the completed installation, was extremely smooth. David offered an initial estimate over the phone without any of the high pressure sales tactics and once he went over the estimate we scheduled for him to come out to view my house and make sure the estimate was correct for my home. After looking over my existing system the final quote was exactly what he provided over the phone. Omar and his installation team were on time the morning of installation and had removed my old AC unit and installed a brand new unit outside, and a furnace & coil in the attic in about 6 hours. Omars team took care to put blankets down over my tile so as not to damage them, and cleaned up after they were finished. Omar showed me the work inside the attic and everything was clean and professionally done. David showed up towards the end of the install to inspect everything, and then stayed with me to provide instructions on how to register everything for the warranty.The process was extremely easy and I would highly recommend both Davids company and Omars install crew for any of your AC needs.

    I really shopped around and found that David Ewing and crew were the most personable and fair-priced company. I had used others in the past, and even tried to use a “home warranty” company. But A good amount of integrity in the business is hard to find. Look no further! If you need a complete system replacement, Ewing has got you covered. My new system was substantially less than the nearest bid for the EXACT SAME SYSTEM. Also, Omar and crew left my home and attic looking better than when they arrived.     I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt compelled to share my story for other potential customers because this is such a big purchase home owners will make. About a year ago, I called David about installing two new systems at my house. I called other contractors and received other quotes but David was by far the most genuine and straightforward forward I spoke with. He did not try to sell me on items we didn’t need, told me exactly what other contractors would try to do and he was exactly right. He was also the best price and it wasn’t close! I assume he knows this and could raise his prices but seems like a very fair business owner and understands and cares for his customers.Since the installation our largest AC unit started having some issues. I informed David and he and his team immediately bent over backwards to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. They replaced several components of the unit and even the compressor before finally replacing the unit altogether. There is no way any other contractor would have done this but David is a man of his word and wanted to make sure everything was right and we were happy. I had a good feeling when I made that first phone call and I’m glad I hired him. As a customer when you buy top of the line equipment you want it to work correctly and you want it to last for a long time and David understood that. Omar, his lead technician is a great guy and their crew couldn’t have been better either. I’ve had a lot of experience over the years dealing with AC companies and they were all miserable until I met David and his crew. I highly recommend his company if you are looking to replace your units.

    The compressor in my older AC unit decided to stop working Friday morning and I immediately started the discovery process. I called Ewing Air around 7am and David answered even without having his first cup of coffee, eager to help! We performed assessment over the phone and we were able to identify affected components and related equipment. Due to age of the unit (19yrs), it made the most sense to replace the AC and furnace with an upgraded model.Omar and team arrived Saturday morning with the new unit, as David promised! They worked all day and installed a new Trane AC and furnace perfectly! Not only did they do a great job with the install, they also removed an older, heavy dehumidifier unit, reworked ducts, and they even offered to vacuum the small mess after all was finished! They truly take the customer service experience to the next level!I highly recommend Ewing Air to anyone seeking a trustworthy company where the customer really comes first!     I purchased 16 seer AC system from Ewing and they delivered an exceptional service. Not only the price was reasonable, but I got whatever was spoken to me before starting the job. Thank you David and Omar for the wonderful job you have done.UPDATE:This is an update after more than three years. Our AC system stopped working on Saturday and we let David know about it. He was all booked until Tuesday but he said he would do his best as soon as he could. He showed up on Sunday morning and identified the issue to be a faulty Gas valve. We had to wait until Monday to get a replacement from the TRANE company. On Monday morning, David got the replacement and started working right away. All was done under thirty minutes and now we are back to comfort in this very cold weather condition. The fee charged was very reasonable and David was very compassionate for the little ones at home.Thank you Ewing, Thank you David!

After a phone call with David about our needs, he gave us very competitive pricing, and was able to get out to us within 2 days to replace our whole unit.     David Ewing is a nice guy. Real professional, very responsive and on time. We lost our 5T unit and when I was shopping around, by neighbor recommended David to me. He came promptly, checked out the system and send a quote for Amana the same day. I had a 19SEER Lennox and was trying to get a Lennox quote. One AC vendor wanted a service fee to come and give a quote and another came but never send me a quote for few days. Another gave me a quote, but the equipment was not available for another 4 weeks. I called David and he promised to install a 18 SEER with in the next 48 hours. He came and got it done as promised. I was very impressed with his professionalism, his follow through and getting it done as promised. It took them a whole day to install it and cleaned up after the work. David was present himself throughout the day to follow up on his crew. I realized he is a good man and would not hesitate to recommend him to other. I need to thank my neighbor for recommending David to me in the first place.

    We recently had our big box HVAC company that weve been using for a few years out to do a spring tune-up/maintenance on our out-of-warranty system. Unfortunately, they discovered a refrigerant leak (among other creeping issues). As is typical (in my experience) with large companies, they immediately dispatched a salesman to talk numbers for various repair and replacement options. Through experience with both online research as well as talking to family members that recently replaced their systems, I knew the numbers I was quoted were comically bogus. I informed them I would be getting other quotes.I did a quick online search for other highly rated HVAC companies near me, and Ewing was one of the first results (almost 500 reviews at an average of 4.9 stars at that time). I gave him a call. David Ewing personally chatted with me about what was going on with my system. After collecting a few basic facts about my home and current system, he gave me a quote for both partial and full system replacements. I decided on a full replacement given my systems age and since the quote was comparatively so reasonable. I particularly appreciate that Mr. Ewing was willing to give a quote over the phone, and that he did not pressure me to make an immediate decision. Many HVAC companies will not give phone estimates which means you need to make an appointment, stay home from work to wait for someone to come out, and endure a pushy sales pitch (Im sure thats the reason why they want to give a quote in person...)The installers arrived early morning on the scheduled day and immediately started to prep the work areas. Omar headed up the crew; he was courteous and professional. He was also willing to drop whatever he was doing at the moment to answer questions.Ill briefly mention a few of the details that I appreciated:* The cabling (especially on the outdoor condenser unit) is neat and squared away compared to my previous system.* Omar installed the new thermostat, and this might seem small to some, but he set the time on it. I could have easily set the time, but still...it shows attention to detail.* The crew laid down blankets leading from the outside to the attic access point so as not to scuff the floor.* David Ewing came out to inspect the work while the installation was underway. He also did a final checkout and was present when the crew tested the system (both heating and A/C).* Following the installation, Mr. Ewing gave a tour of the new system (both the inside and outside units) and described the features.* He walked through the warranty and how to register it online. He had all of the paperwork printed out and labeled.* The crew was careful with the equipment and our homes interior throughout installation, and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. They take pride in their work.Ewing Air Conditioning And Heating is now our go-to service provider for all future HVAC repair/replacement needs.

    Update 2022:Had to call David a few times to get some weird issues with the furnace where it was refusing to start before 10 am. David followed up everyday and tried out replacing a few things before replacing the board that finally fixed the issue. The warranty was completely honored and I cant imagine getting this level of service and personal connection from any of the HVAC companies around. Highly recommend.I got the best quote from David compared to all other quotes which I got from other dealers. He was straightforward and spent enough time to help me understand whats needed and the various kinds of systems which could be installed. Once I confirmed his crew was here in 2 days to start the process. Omar, was right here on time and started removing the old system. They were done by 5 and now we have a nice 20 seer system with a ecobee thermostat with great warranties. Hoping to have a nice and comfortable summer from now.

    Ewing air conditioning is my new go-to contractor. I had called David the owner to replace two systems on my house. I had called around to quite a few other companies but none of them were as educated and concise as David. He was able to answer every question I have and schedule me instantly in this crazy heat. Not only that, he guaranteed that I would not have to wait if anything ever happened to my units, as he said he only services to the units he installs, not to the general public.     9-29-20 we were having some drain issues with one of our units. Omar can right out the next day and had everything sorted out in less that 30 minutes. Ewing is amazing. So impressed with their service———-Called Ewing because we were due for yearly checkup and I had a question regarding a clicking sound I heard when one of our unit shut down. David came out the very next day and checked out the system. Explained the noise I was hearing and put my mind at ease. Confirmed have been doing the proper scheduled filter changes. Which we have been. Stand up guy. Takes care of his customers for new installs and seasonal maintenance.     After an impressive 20 years of use, my old AMANA system was on its last legs. Today David, Omar and crew came out and installed two new Amana units (upstairs/downstairs) and did a fantastic job. They were right on time (9am), meticulous in their work (perfectionists), and got done about 2:30pm. What impressed me the most is that this install looks so much better than the original builders install; and not just cosmetically, they took the time to properly seal off and organize pipes, wires, and filters with top quality equipment and workmanship.     My A/C quit cooling in July. We needed service fast and I wanted to do business with someone local that I could trust and had good reviews and ratings on their work. Searching the web we found Ewing Air with a local address and phone. The owner, David Ewing answered and offered to come by and check my unit. The outside compressor had failed and not worth investing in repairs. David explained the options I had regarding replacing old technology or choosing a more efficient and cost effective system for my home. He was very knowledgeable and informative, answering all my questions. His quotation was very competitive and they did the job starting the next morning. His team was fast, very neat and clean and knew exactly what they were doing. They worked the whole day and finished a very professional installation that cooled wonderfully. Mr. Ewing runs a professional operation and is proud of his company and reputation. I recommend him and will call him again if I need his service

    We just had our HVAC system replaced by Ewing AC. Last week, we received the news that our 20-year-old system needed to be replaced. I knew that this was going to be expensive, so I researched a lot of companies, brands and warranties. Ultimately, we settled with Ewing AC because of their decades of experience, reputation and cost, which was much lower than their competitors.A new system is a big investment and I had so many questions. Mr. Ewing took the time to answer all of my questions and spoke/texted with me several times prior to installation.On installation day, the crew was excellent and very professional. Omar, the lead, took such pride in his work and even pointed out the defects in the older unit. The service was extremely fast; David Ewing stopped by on a Thursday and the next Saturday his crew installed the new 16 SEER A/C system in 1 day.     Update- David Ewing is the best. A/C unit went out today, Luckily my Amana system has a 3 year service warranty. I called David on Fathers day weekend, he was out of town but was able to talk me through how to reset system since he couldnt come right over. Got my A/C up and running.     Fantastic experience with David Ewing! He came out same day to look at my air conditioner (which had stopped the night before). Immediately it was clear that it was a simple fix. He didnt try to up-sell to a new unit (an experience that we have had with other repairmen), but fixed the part and advised us on what to do and save for going forward. Well need a new unit within the next year or two and without a doubt, I will call Ewing Air Conditioning to come and install it. Cant recommend them high enough. Trustworthy and honest.

    Mr. Ewing came out on short notice the same night I had trouble after I got off of work to make sure we had our heat working as soon as possible. He walked through all the options with me and explained everything so I understood what options worked best for me. Mr. Ewing was very transparent with me on pricing and offered me a good deal. I ended up going with two 16 Seer Trane units. They also helped me program my two new Nest thermostats. The installation crew was very respectful and clean.     Woke up Tuesday morning and it was cold in the house. Called a different ac repairman and they were out that afternoon and made the heat work, but the next morning it was out again. Called them back and they said it would be an $800 fix on a 16 year old system. We said na, how much for a whole system. Got the quote, seemed high, so we called Ewing AC.     If you are looking for a new system, you need to talk to Ewing Air. The owner David Ewing is totally dedicated to his business and customers. He took all the time needed to answer our questions and had the best price on a new heat pump system. We have an old house that caused some difficulties with installation but we didnt get charged anything extra. Our old breaker panel was going bad and we decided to replace it. David helped us find a good electrician who put a new one in on short notice, just before the freezing weather hit. Electricians worked on the panel until late in the night - David answered their call to walk them through starting up the new system after they repowered the house. He paid several visits to our house until he was satisfied the system was up and running well, and picked up the phone every single time we called. Outstanding.

    What an outstanding Heating & Air Conditioning company. I met David Ewing over 5 years ago, not too long after his surgery. He and another tech spent an entire day replacing the unit in our attic during the heat of a summer day.     Update: 7-11-20 My upstairs unit was not cooling yesterday. I called David and he came out this morning and added refrigerant at no charge. The upstairs cooled down within 30 minutes. I am highly satisfied with his response time and taking care of us since it will be 100 degrees today.Great experience! I called David to get an estimate for a heat pump replacement. He came out that same evening and provided me with the lowest quote over several different companies.His crew did a fantastic job installing our Rheem 3 ton 15 seer heat pump.     Its rare that you find someone in the A/C business that you immediately feel like you can trust. David Ewing is one of those people and my experience with Ewing A/C and Heating was great! I have 2 A/C systems in my home and our electric bills were really high. I called up David to come out and take a look to see what he could do to help out. While other companies had previously quoted me as much as $18,000 to replace both systems, David evaluated my situation and figured out that I only needed to replace a portion of my equipment and not all of it. At the end of the day, the price quoted me was half the price of the competitors and my new system is guaranteed for 10 years. I now have a top of the line, 16 SEER, Trane XL unit with all new duct work, 2 new furnaces and a new condenser and air handler plus 2 NEST thermostats. David even refurbished my existing compressor to ensure it lasts another 8-10 years of reliable service. Even though David forgot to add in my thermostats to the quote, he stood by the price he quoted me. David is just a genuine person and runs a very honest business. What a great company!

I did not know what to expect as I figured it was Summer time and everyone would be booked and thought we would be without A/C for at least a few days. I chose to go with partly because of a recommendation by one of his customers who said he takes care of his customers but mostly because he quoted and installed within 36 hours from my call to him.     Our air conditioner quit working. It was installed in October, 2017. We called, and Dave the owner came over. In a few minutes he diagnosed that a fuse had blown and that the contact coil was shorted out. He replaced the contact.     The owner, Dave Ewing is an absolute doll! He is as honest as the day is long. On a hot Texas afternoon it was 86º in my house. I called a reputable a/c & heating company &I received a quote of $6,400 for an Amana unit 14 seer (compressor & coil) which could be installed in 5 days. ( Amana gives the best warranty in the business.) After seeing several recommendations for Ewing a/c & heating company on my Nextdoor app I called around 8 pm. The bottom line is for a couple of hundred dollars more I got an Amana 16 seer compressor, compressor, coil & furnace installed at 10 am the next morning. The crew were courteous & professional. Dave, the owner came by twice to see if the crew needed anything & to look over the install when they were done @ 3 pm. Great experience!

    When our 8 year old air conditioning unit was diagnosed as needing replacing I rang several places for quotes (including the company I had used several times previously) and found Ewing Air Conditioning to be the most reasonably priced. I had several questions on the different units and was also very impressed on not only how knowledgeable David Ewing was, but also how promptly he called back when messages were left, or he was busy at the time of the call. When his team arrived to take out the old unit and replace it I found them to be courteous and friendly and was very impressed that they took the time to put on covers over their shoes and put a drop cloth all the way up the stairs to avoid damage to the carpet. Following the installation David came by to check on everything and fully explained all the warranty details (more than most other warranties). To top all this off the unit which was put it in, a Rheem unit, is so much more efficient than what we had and works so much better. I would fully recommend Ewing Air Conditioning to anyone who needed this service.

    We needed a whole new HVAC system and got a quote from a company that we were familiar with. I wanted to get another quote and came across Ewing. I filled out information on their website to get a quote. A few minutes later I received a call from David Ewing and we went over some information and we were quoted a price. It was $50 less than the company we were familiar with. We thought about it over the next couple of days and my husband was about to go with the 1st company, again just because he was familiar with them. I talked him into going with Ewing because they are local and I got a really great feeling from David when we spoke on the phone.     Update - June, 2015 I just did business with Mr. Ewing again. His customer service is beyond top notch. Honest, fair, reliable. I honestly love doing business with Mr. Ewing. He will always be my go to guy for AC repair and servicing!I have done business with Mr. Ewing twice before this. First time in 2011 at my other property in McKinney. I needed a 5 ton outside unit and attic coil after recent failure. I remember making the call on one day, and Mr. Ewing and his crew were at the property the VERY NEXT DAY with all of the parts. It was truly amazing service and the price was very honest and lower than all of his competitors. I was very lucky in finding Mr. Ewing in 2011 because in 2012 I had to have the attic furnace replaced in my primary residence. For reference, I had multiple quotes and Mr. Ewing again was lower than all of his competitors. In one case, Mr. Ewings quote was almost $3,000 LESS!! This goes to show you how dishonest some other service repair shops can be. Just like the first time I had worked with Mr. Ewing, he was at the house the VERY NEXT DAY with his crew and all the parts! Most recently at our primary residence, we noticed our outside AC unit had failed. Rather than trying to replace a couple small parts here and there, we decided to replace the ENTIRE outside unit and attic coil. Of course we decided to call Mr. Ewing and didnt even bother price shopping anymore because we knew we are customers for life for Mr. Ewing. I dont know how he does it, but he quoted me a price over the phone that I just couldnt believe. I honestly thought Id have to pay about $1500 more than what he quoted. And just like the first, Mr. Ewing and his crew arrived the very next day with parts and ready to make the installation. My fiance and I are truly amazed buy Mr. Ewing. One thing I noticed (and this is no minor thing) is that one of his employees, Diego, has been with Mr. Ewing since I met them in 2011. Not only does Mr. Ewing quote fair and honest prices, do exceptional work in a timely manner, but he manages to retain his best employees. This says a lot about how Mr. Ewing does his business. And needless to say, we recommend him to everyone we come across interested in AC repair or installation. Keep up the great work Mr. Ewing! Guys like you are few and far between!

    I will start out by saying that I am an extreme pinch penny and very skeptical of ALL repair and sales people. David Ewing and his highly qualified staff quickly changed my mind. As others before me have testified this company is professional, courteous, on time and efficient. I called early last Tuesday morning to get Ewing to come look at my HVAC. It just died in July in Texas!! Mr. Ewing promised to come out that very same day. (Did not expect that). He inspected the equipment and explained that repairs would just be throwing money away. I knew this as we had it repaired twice before and it never cooled or heated our house well. He quoted a price on a new system and I told him I needed time to consider my options. I quickly started pricing units and getting quotes and was shocked at what I was hearing from other dealers. I called Ewing back and he was at my door with crew and new HVAC system within 90 minutes. The installers worked very carefully and quickly making sure they were protecting my carpet and furniture. They cleaned out the heater cabinet and ran a hand held sweeper on my carpet! David thoroughly checked the installers work and when we went outside to check the outdoor unit David noticed my gutter had pulled away from the roof and he asked one of the guys to go get the ladder and fix it. I have never had service this good. I dont know why his prices are so fair. I am just glad there is someone like him out there. Have already recommended him to friends, co-workers and family.

    One of our central air units went out. We first called a different HVAC company recommended by a friend and were not thrilled with them for either their estimate for repair or their estimates for a new unit. My wife then searched Google and found Ewing Air and saw how well they were rated so called them. The next day Dave (the owner) was out and checked out our current unit and recommended we replace the unit. When I saw the estimate I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was $1500 less then what I was quoted from the other place and for a much better brand (Trane vs. Coleman). Dave explained the different model options and SEER options and made sure we went with the most appropriate unit. I was then more surprised to find that he was able to have his crew come the very next day for the installation. Were it not for a severe storm that started shortly after they arrived they would have been able to be done within a day of getting the estimate, but after the storm ended they came out first thing the very next morning and were done by lunchtime.I strongly recommend Ewing Air and the owner, Dave Ewing.     This company is the best. This company is the BEST. I had an issue with two rooms in the house that were not cooling properly during the warmer months of the year. This is a typical problem with the home builder in my neighborhood. The AC unit and duct work in the home were too small for the square footage.     Called Ewing Air for a 2nd opinion after getting scammed from an F-rated company who gave me a free inspection and then my outside unit stopped working (how convenient). David said there was no way what this other company had told me could cause my issues. He even offered up another company to come troubleshoot my issue because he was backlogged with replacements and didnt want me to wait. Once I found out that the compressor was bad and not covered under warranty, I called David back and he gave me a very reasonable price on a new Rheem outside unit. He had his team out 2 days later and all were very professional and neatly dressed. After replacing the outside unit, they took the time to make sure we were getting cool air out of our vents in several locations. I mentioned to David that the other company said my blower was dirty and was causing the unit to work harder. He has his team remove the blower and discovered that the blower was very clean and the coil was just as clean. I am extremely satisfied with Ewing Air and would recommend them to anyone needing AC help. The end price was even cheaper than what was quoted originally. Ewing Air ROCKS!!7/5/13 - Update - After having my outside unit replaced by Ewing and trying to survive on the same blower unit inside, my luck ran out. The blower unit coils had a leak and was causing the coils to freeze up and needless to say heat up in the house. I called David out and his team found a leak outside originally and fixed it the first day. However, the unit froze up the next day. David and his guys came out again and discovered the leak inside and advised that it would be much better in the long run to replace the whole unit than to replace just the coil and only get a one yr warranty and then maybe have a blower go out in 6 months. He understood my situation and gave me the best price he could. Now i have 10 yrs warranty on both units and cool air inside. David Ewing is my new best friend!!!

    Had to put in two new systems after a hail storm destroyed the old ones. After researching about different brands, we realized that getting a good installer is the most important part of the job. After calling several installers, we decided to go with Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating. David, the owner, was always very responsive with my phone calls. He is knowledgable, very experienced in his line of work, and is VERY patient with all the questions we had. Through communications over several days while we were talking to different companies, we had a good sense that he runs a very honest business, and his price for the systems (3.5 & 5 ton Reehm) was the best among all other quotes we got for the identical systems.On the day of the scheduled installation, Omar and his crew came. They did a very fine job. They are efficient and apparently know what they are doing. It took them several hours to put them in. Then, they cleaned after themselves, vacuumed not only the floors where there was insulation stuff, but the vents! David was in and out the house through out the whole day, making sure that the work was done right every step of the way. They run both cold and heat after the new systems were in. We always had the problem of two of the bedrooms (out of 5) always had problem cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. Omars guys adjusted the ducts making sure each room would get sufficient air coverage. David also promised that they would be back to do more adjusting if we encounter the same issue again with the new systems. When all the work was done and they cleaned up, David stayed behind to explain about the warranty. He gave us the two-year warranty on the labor, which was the only one among the quotes we had got.We have full confidence that we will be taken care of. That sense of trust we put in David and his company was earned by Davids professional way of handling the whole process.

Our air conditioner stopped working last night and David with Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating made a service call the next day on a Sunday afternoon. I then called Ewing Air and spoke to David Ewing.     David put a furnace in for me at my old house in Plano a few years ago, and the experience could not have been better. The price was right, the service was great, and everything was extremely timely. Fast forward a few years, and I am now in a different house in Murphy. I woke up to a very cold house this morning (Sunday) and called David up to see if he could help. It went through to voicemail, and I did not leave a message, thinking that I would try again later. A few minutes later, even without leaving a message, I got a call back from David personally asking me what he could do to help. I explained the symptoms of my furnace problem at a very basic level, and David took 5 or 10 minutes on the phone with me to explain what he thought might be wrong and how to better diagnose the problem. When I had a better idea after looking at the control panel and seeing the LED problem indicator, I called him back and he walked me step by step on the phone through how to fix one common resolution that could be done by a homeowner that could have caused that particular problem. As it turns out, that was the problem exactly (blockage in the small hose attached to the pressure switch), and my furnace is now working perfectly again! I am extremely happy and am glad that there are still honest, knowledgeable professionals out there like David Ewing and his team.     After 30 years of faithful service, our furnace sputtered its last gasps on the first frigid weekend of 2013. I called three vendors for price estimates on replacing the system and bringing all necessary components up to code. The result was a wide range of prices - from $2500 to $3300 - and a similarly wide ranging list of equipment. In the end, I settled on contracting Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating for the work.Several factors made Ewing stand out:(1) Reputation - All 3 vendors I used for estimates were highly rated on Angies List and/or Google, but only Ewing also received strong word-of-mouth recommendations from people we knew (always a positive addition to anonymous online reviews).(2) No Frills Pricing - Ewing came in right in the middle of the three bids but, more importantly, the bid process was very straight forward. It lacked the up-sell tactics of the other two companies. With both the other bids, prices started lower and quickly climbed with numerous add-ons (re-routing ducts, adding air intakes, code updates). Some of these were necessary and others discretionary, but the up-sells quickly become tedious when you just want to get warm! Ewing quoted me an all-inclusive price over the phone and gave specific date options for the install. In both other cases, I waited the better part of a day for a tech to come to the house for the bid (in one case, the wait was 36 hours for the actual bid after the tech left). Advantage Ewing.(3) Finally, David Ewing (the owner) dealt directly with me on the bid and was also present when the system was installed - apparently this is standard operating procedure for all Ewings jobs. David has a clear commitment to quality, a fact evident our conversations as well as his oversight of the installation.Bottom-line: Its never convenient when a major appliance or system goes out unexpectedly. However, David and his team made the process as painless as possible, both financially and otherwise. I would recommend Ewing Air and will use them again in the future.

    What a great experience! We woke up to our upstairs air conditioning unit not working and I needed it fixed by our sons nap time. The owner came out, on a Sunday morning, and was here sooo quickly. He fixed the problem immediately and was gone in less than 30 minutes. He was nice and I felt comfortable around him which I feel is very important when your having a repair man in your home. We wont use anyone else in the future. Ewing is our guy!

    This is my first time Ive used Ewing A/C and I must say I couldnt be happier. The prices were reasonable, and since I had a new born became his first priority. Did I mention the owner does the service calls? After speaking to him I found he was a Former Marine and after getting out got into A/C which hes been doing 32 years.     We had Ewing HVAC come out and replace our entire system on our house; it was time, the original builder grade system was taking a nose-dive. We had a situation in our 2 story home in which closing bedroom doors @ night was impeding good air circulation; since the downstairs master bedroom had a large cold-air return vent. Upon discussing with David; his team created a cold-air return vent in our upstairs playroom that helps the 3 bedrooms upstairs to get balanced air flow. I was pretty impressed by that; I wonder if another HVAC Man would have done that. They did an excellent job, were informative, and very professional.And you could sense that they really appreciated their Customers!! We definitely recommend getting their estimate and comparing what they can do for you!!

    Three years ago our upstairs AC needed replaced. Dave and his crew came out and replaced the whole unit - heat and all. We thought we got a good price and great service. Who does that anymore?Thats why when our downstairs unit didnt seem to be doing the job last week there was no question about who to call. Dave came out on Saturday morning to check it out.     I called in Dec. needing to replace my heat pump, the owner David spent 40 minutes explaining the different types of heat pump systems. He also gave me models numbers for the different system prices he quoted and suggested I research them myself. I called back twice over the next two weeks with more questions and David answered every call himself. I called to schedule the install on Thursday and they came on time the next Monday. The two technicians were at my home for 6 hours installing the complete system (heat pump and air handler). David came during the last 45 minutes to explain the new system, give me instruction manuals and go over warranty information. He was knowledgeable and friendly every time I called.     I came home to a house full of smoke, called out the fire department only to find out that my air handler wires had burned up literally. It was after 6 p.m. and I called Ewing Heating and Air because of all the five star reviews. To my surprise the owner David answered the phone I explained to him what happened, he knew over the phone what was wrong. He quoted me an amount over the phone, I still insisted on him coming out and he was happy to oblige. He came out after hours and stuck with the quote that he gave to me. He was able to come the next day and fix my heater. They arrived on time and did a great job. I was thrilled to see that the carpets were covered so there is no tracking from the debris from the attic. I am thrilled to have found him. I plan on replacing my outside unit and I will use him and his team again. I will fully recommend him to all my family and friends. He has very fair at pricing did not try to up sale knowing that my finances are limited. To top it off, he went outside cleaned up my out door unit and put freon in my air conditioner outside at no additional cost, so when the summer hits that is up and in great order too. He is fantastic and his team is very professional.

    David Ewing and Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating.  I had my house built in 2003 and my builder used his AC guy.  Over the years, I had little issues, here and there, with my AC. I looked up and found 5 Star Ewing AC and Heating. David would always talk to me on the phone as a person and not as a non customer, even though I had never used him.  He is an honest, competent AC specialist with over 38 yrs of experience. I would not be taking the time to write this if he had not shot me straight all these years. My old AC went out finally. I then got 4 quotes before I called David Ewing.  David not only was one of the best prices, but again NO car salesman BS.  He is an Ex United States Marine, a father and a grandfather, who lives here locally.  This means he is not going anywhere and will be there for you, no matter what.  It is not about the money to him. To David, its about honoring and standing behind his service that he has provided for you.  There a few honest good guys, like David and Ewing AC, out there and I can count them on one hand.  David could sale you all the snake oil and junk that the others try to push on you, like maintenance plans, airscubbers and etc. David will tell you what works and what he has been removing from these other high priced AC companies systems, when the junk dont work.  I DONT CARE WHAT SYSTEM YOU BUY IT ONLY WORKS AND LAST IF IT IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY!  Ewing AC technicians are highly trained and courteous. I would give this Company 10 Stars if I could. That many reviews of 5 Stars can not be BS and I found out that it is truly a 5 Star customer service business.

    My family and I were excited to spend the night in our new home. On that first night, the AC stopped working! We couldnt sleep; we were miserable. It was Labor Day weekend and I didnt think Id be able to get much help. I called Ewing a little before 7AM on Sunday morning and the owner answered the phone. At that early hour I wasnt sure what kind of service to expect but he was incredibly helpful. He helped me to troubleshoot the system over the phone in case it was something that I could fix immediately. When he determined that he needed to come out, he came out quickly and anticipated the problem because he already had the right part necessary to fix the issue! Not only did he fix the problem, he spent a few minutes teaching me about my AC unit and gave me some maintenance tips. Our new house had AC again less than two hours after I called Ewing AC! Definitely recommend.

    If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Ewing Air is an amazing company. I have Home Shield Home warranty and called in a ticket for a unit that was not working. They sent out another company that showed up almost 2 hours late, was terribly rude, and gave a long list of things that they said needed to be repaired. Home Sheild then denied my claim and said that the company who came out could fix it all for me at a low price out of my pocket. After talking to that other company they told me they were giving me an amazing deal and I needed to take it right now. I called Ewing and he came out in less than 30 minutes. He was so nice and showed me what was wrong and explained it to me. The other company treated me like I couldnt tie my shoes on my own. He fixed my unit right on the spot and saved me tons compared to the great deal that I was offered by the other company. You cant find customer service like this just anywhere. Needless to say anytime I need my AC or Heating repaired I will be calling Ewing!

    Cannot say enough good things about this company. They installed a Trane unit for us back when we had the hail storms in 2016. Yesterday we noticed our air just stopped blowing cold. I found my work order & called Ewing at night but had to leave a message. I got a return call immediately first thing the next morning a little after 8:00 AM letting me know that they would be out to our house before lunch. Tech (think it was David) came out exactly on time and diagnosed the problem in about 5 mins. Had the part already on the truck so my A/C was up and working in literally...about 15 mins after he arrived. I had a 2 year warranty on labor & 10 years on the unit...been 4 years since they installed my outside unit & he did not charge me a dime. Not sure service gets any better than this folks. If you need A/C work done, I would definitely call these guys first. They stand by their work & take care of their clients.

    Had David put in a new 4 Ton unit just about 3 years ago. We noticed that it was not cooling as well as it had been.     If allowed I would award a 10 stars. Our heat pumps were destroyed by the winter storm last Friday. We went through the weekend with portable heaters and on Monday I called Mr. Ewing. He came out almost immediately. He quickly inspected the system, determined the damage, and proposed a solution. He drew up the proposal, helped me explain it to State Farm, and we are siting here now in a warm home, quieter than ever.Ismail headed the crew that installed the system. The first thing they did was cover the carpet with tarps, then they quickly removed the damaged equipment. Within two hours of arriving the were installing the new systems. The crew was wrapping up 4 hours later, having installed two completely new 3 Ton systems. Mr. Ewing came in for final inspection, and explained the new controls. On the way out, they vacuumed the floor. The attention to details was admirable, and they executed the job with the highest professionalism. I highly recommend Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating to anyone looking for highest quality and a fair price.

    I had a 12 year old AC stop working. Called David at 3.00 PM about it and he turned up at 4.30 on the dot almost beating me home. He was polite and professional.     Ewing air conditioning and heating put in my new system 5 years ago. I had a minor issue last night, that happened on a Saturday during quarantine, Surprisingly i called and David Ewing, the owner, immediately answered and showed up on Saturday evening to repair my a.c come to find out it was my own negligence of not replacing the filters soon enough. Hes very professional and showed up no matter what happened. Even on a weekend. Im truly grateful to know that i dont have to worry about being cool this summer because i have top of the line equipment with a top of the line company.     David came over to my house in a timely manner to give me a 2nd quote on replacing 2 compressors and 2 coils. He spent about 45 mins. to an hour going over my options, making sure I understood everything. I made my decision to go with him because he was less expensive and I felt I was getting a quality product. Plus, I trusted his expert opinion and felt if I had a problem he wouldnt let me down. When Davids crew arrived they were very professional and took the time to put a tarp down to protect the carpet. David had told me that once the work was done, my attic would be cleaner when the guys left than when they came and he was exactly right. Even after the guys left, they shortly returned with their vacuum because David told them about one other area that needed to be cleaned from when the new unit had been turned on for the first time that day. Once the work was complete, David came to do the inspection himself. I would 100% recommend David Ewing to do any air conditioning work on your home. I am very pleased with the work and know if I have a problem with the units, David will be there.

    I will never call another AC service again! Ewing has been out to my house twice and both times gave me phenomenal service. I called this morning on and they came out and fixed my ac unit without me even having to be there. He always gives the best prices and has the quickest service. Thank you for everything you have done for me and my wife. We will always use Ewing for as long as we live in the Wylie area. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

    Ewing not only gave us the best price, but they were responsive, on time and knowledgeable. They even came back the same day of the installation to fix a minor problem on our other system that had suddenly stopped working - even though that wasnt;t the system they replaced.

    I know that my husband already wrote a review, but he is not a man of many words and I wanted to go into a little bit more detail about how great David and his staff were. Our AC unit went out on Sunday night and since it was Labor Day weekend, we were up the creek in terms of getting someone out from the home warranty company. I called David, explained the situation, and while he wasnt able to come out, he was able to refer me to some local contractors that could possibly get us up and running until he could come out to do the replacement. First of all, who does that? I mean, he knew that he couldve lost us as a potential customer if another contractor was able to do something that day, but yet there he was helping us to find someone. That blew me away and was the instant that I knew that he genuinely cared about us and didnt see us as just a sale. Im so thankful that we were referred to David as him and his staff did a wonderful job with the install as well as with making sure that we would be taken care of until he could get the install done. Thank you David, you have earned customers for life!

    My old Amana HVAC finally died. I called David back, he diagnosed the problem quickly. After he explained the problem and we talked about it, I decided to replace the HVAC with a new one. I told David I was interested in an energy efficient model. We spent some time talking and he gave me three chooses. After a talk with the family, we decided on the Trane XL20i system. I called David that evening, told him my choice, he said they would be there the next morning. Install was about half a day at most. Installers knew what they were doing and they worked fast. We also got a new high tech thermostat, one that you can control with phone, tablet or PC. It’s only been a short time but what a difference. This unit runs circles around the old one. It’s quieter and it does not have to run forever to cool the house. We should have done this sooner. If you are looking for a HVAC company, call David you will not be disappointed.1st review:David Ewing was very friendly, prompt and knew what he was doing. He had the problem solved before I even knew he was there and he did it for no charge. He even gave me tips on how to prolong the life of my AC. I would highly recommend Ewing.     These guys put in all 3 units at my home we bought a little over 5yrs ago. They are always responsive and professional. We have had little to no issues with these units. I just had an issue with one of them not cooling. David came out personally on a Sunday afternoon to take care of us. He was there in 15min of our call. It was a capacitor on the oldest unit. Fixed us right up and didn’t even charge us.Great service!!!

    UPDATE July 2017 ***: Two years after they replaced our unit, we lost power to the unit after replacing the filter - they came out less than two hours after I called them and fixed it without charge! These guys continue to deliver! Highly recommend them!!!Our 15 year old HVAC system was going out. We called 6 different companies and had 4 of them come out and give us a quote. There was a wide range of prices for Goodman, Carrier, Bryant and Trane. We went with David at Ewing Air because he was offering a Trane unit only slightly more costly than a much inferior brand (Goodman) and he offered a 2 year warrant on labor when everyone else only offered 1 year. We ended up with a 16 Seer Trane unit with a 4 media filter that also qualified us for a $600 rebate with our electric company! Davids crew was efficient and hardworking. They laid down tarps to protect our floors and completely cleaned up when they were done. David was very easy to work with and a really nice guy. Highly recommend Ewing Air Conditioning and Heating!UPDATE - April 2016 - unit is not quite two years old....and we turned the unit on for the first time this season...and it was not cooling. Called Ewing at 9AM - they were out working on the problem by 1:10 PM - replaced a part that was probably damaged by ants, updated the thermostat and we now have good, cool air. This is what good customer service looks like!

    AC went out finally. Temperature in house was 85. Called Ewing and they were at my house within an hour and a half! The equipment installed, service and everything from start to finish was the best you could ask for at a price you cannot beat. If you don’t go with these guys then your putting your money in the wrong hands. Omar was amazing and very quick to get my AC back on and ready to go.5 stars for sure!

    Customer Service is still alive and well at Ewing Air. We called to have our unit inspected and they came out immediately. Yes, Ewing Air met us on a Sunday afternoon and did not charge us a weekend service fee. They actually didnt charge us anything to diagnose our problem. David wrote us an estimate for a new Trane system including parts, labor, and tax. There were NO hidden fees or up sales as they were installing the ac unit.We decided to purchase the 5 ton Trane 16 seer unit Sunday evening after discussing some other options. We gave David a call and he took care of everything. Ewing Air showed up Monday morning and installed the new unit with all new fixings to go with it. Our house started cooling by 3pm. The 2 workers braved the Texas heat (over 100 degrees) up in the second story attic for several hours to get things just right. They covered the carpeted areas with cloths to prevent damage to the area. They vacuumed the areas that were covered when they were done. Our old unit was filthy and they left nothing behind on our off white carpet. This was a painless experience. This company definitely earned referrals.If you are looking for CUSTOMER SERVICE, HONEST ASSESSMENTS OF YOUR UNIT, and COMPETITIVE PRICING, you should use Ewing Air and Heat. They did a fabulous job!     Outstanding customer service.My AC was short-cycling and not adequately cooling my house. In an effort to try and save me some time and money, Mr. Ewing walked me through various troubleshooting steps on the phone in an effort to resolve the issue. When we were unable to resolve the issue, we set up an appointment.Mr. Ewing arrived on time. He looked professional and was very friendly. While looking at my AC he explained exactly what he was doing and what he expected see during each step of the process. When he identified the problem, he explained what it was, showed me was happening, and provided several resolution options. As a have a 12-month old baby, he did everything possible to find the replacement part and get installed quickly.Would highly recommend them to anyone in need of work on their heating and AC system.

    Our A/C was out and I asked around for prices on a new installation. I was quoted over 10k for a new install from a second rate manufacturer from another A/C installer. I called Ewing A/C and over the phone, he gave a preliminary quote on the A/C install. When he then came over to look, the quote remained the same and it was over 35% cheaper than the other companies with a top manufacturer. When the crew came over to install they were completely professional and explained what was put in and how to work the equipment. I gladly will recommend them to anyone.

    I called David on Thursday and less than an hour later he came to my house to check the problem with our leaky heat pump. He gave me several options for repair and described each ones benefits and cost. We decided to replace the furnace unit which was leaking Freon. His crew arrived at 9 am on Friday with the new unit and had it installed and working by noon. They checked our other unit for leaks also for no additional charge. The crew was very professional and left everything neat and clean no trash or dirt on the carpet or in the yard. He also gave me many tips on maintaining my system. Very friendly people. I would highly recommend them for all your Heating and Air conditioning needs.

    A few weeks ago my heat went out at my home so I called a company to come out and check it out. When they did, I was told that it could be the circuit board going bad but for then it was working. They said that if the circuit board needed to be replaced it would cost $ 645 plus labor to install. So about $ 750.00. Well the next day it went out again. I started researching this board and found it to be a lot less than $ 645.00!!! So I called Ewing AC in Wylie. After looking at the Trane model it was determined that this furnace was about 13-15 years old and more than likely on its last life! Why spend the money to replace the circuit board and turn around and possible have to replace the unit. I was very lucky they came out the same day I called and the service was awesome! I have heat again and a unit with a 10 year warranty. Im ready for a cold winter here in Wylie! Thanks Ewing Air Conditioning & Heating!!!!
