I called Cool Kids for a second opinion for heat and A/C unit replacement for a business, and I am very glad I did.JJ and team did an amazing job. They came next day and I received the quote about an hour after they left. I got a fair price (much better than my other quote), but they also were willing to do the complete job (including removal/replacement of the ceiling grid and tiles which my current company refused to do), plus they were willing to do the job overnight so we could avoid an interruption to our business.This was no small job - we replaced both 5-ton units (again, overnight!).Our team is very happy with the new air, the modern equipment, and the thermostats that work from our phones.If anyone is considering heat, A/C or plumbing work, I think Cool Kids is a great choice - feel free to reach out to me if you want more info on the company/service - I would be happy to be a reference.

Ricky was helpful from beginning to end. His communication was excellent, and he helped guide me through buying the new fixtures we needed. He worked with us off and on for 2+ weeks to prep for the day he came. Part of the job went super smoothly, and part of it ran into complications, which he easily handled. Everything now looks great and updated just as we wanted. He is a great guide and plumber. Highly recommend.

We had an issue with our furnace and contacted 3 other HVAC companies and Cool Kids AC, Heat & Plumbing were the most honest company that didnt try to sell us other things that were not necessary. Darin came over the same day we contacted them and was absolutely professional, full of knowledge and had our furnace back and working in no time! I usually do not write reviews unless necessary but i feel this was a must as i would want to save someone from going through the hassle we did with other companies. Save you time and money and contact Cool Kids if you have any issues, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had a gas leak in our furnace, and he was able to come out the same day. When he arrived, he checked everything out and realized it was just a loose pipe fitting. He tightened it up for us and made sure everything was running ok. He didnt even charge for us for tightening up the pipe fitting or coming out If you need someone honest and reliable, hes your guy.

Cool Kids replaced our air handler in June after an unfortunate (and very expensive) refrigerant leak. Our house was really hot yesterday and we couldn’t figure out what was going on. JJ responded to the call right away this morning and he was able to help troubleshoot the issue. He showed my husband what to do if it happens again and he didn’t charge us for the visit. Cool Kids has taken really good care of us and we are grateful for the prompt customer service.

Weve been using Cool Kids for a while now to help keep our dinosaur A/C unit working with minor repairs and maintenance. Recently, my husband and I knew it was time to replace the original system that came with our 23 year-old home. JJ and his team did a solid job replacing our system and we couldnt be happier. He gave us a competitive quote to replace the AC unit, furnace, and ducts. They showed up on time and were in and out in a timely manner. They hauled off our old unit and were impeccable with their cleanup. We instantly felt a major difference in the flow and quality of air. Our home cools down and warms up quickly. What a difference! Also, we had a huge dust issue which is now resolved, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Friendly, professional, and highly recommend!

We had a clogged sewage line that was causing a back up into bath tubs and so forth. I did a little online research that lead me to believe that the clog may have been due to a broken sewage line. I called several plumbers in the area to see if any had camera that they could run up the line to check for breaks as well as clearing the line. After speaking to a few plumbers that did not have the time or the proper equipment one of them recommended another plumber name Ricky and gave me his number. I gave him a call and he was able to be out that day to clear the line and scope the line. I was surprised that he serviced my area as I live in Buda and they office out of Round Rock. When Ricky arrived he worked at clearing the line and got the water flow going again. Once he scoped the line he was able to determine that the break was 26’ under my slab, news I was not really wanting but was possibly expecting. Once he got back to the office and was able to get a pricing and so forth together he got back with me and got moving on the repair. While it was only supposed to take a few days to get the job complete it turned into more in-depth job than originally assumed through no fault on their end. They worked diligently to get to the break as they had to trench under my home to get to the break and then to get it repaired. JJ came out to the job to see how it was going and to touch base with me, he made sure that we were taken care of through the entire process and when the job took longer than expected he went above and beyond with making sure to assist with hotel accommodations. I can not recommend this company enough, they are fantastic and are our plumbing company from now on. If you need plumbing or AC help call this company. Thank you Ricky and JJ.

They fixed my AC as quickly as possible. Looked up parts to make they were covered under warranty. They went above and beyond to get us taken care of at a price we could afford. Excellent service and excellent value! JJ and Darin are the best!Update 11/20/23 I notified JJ around 6pm yesterday that my sink was leaking and they had it fixed by 2:30 today. I can’t say enough great things about these guys! I was worried because I can’t host and cook Thanksgiving dinner with a broken sink. Prompt service with a smile, that leaves you smiling and doesn’t break the bank!

I had a plumbing and A/C issue on the same day. Both services were sent out so quickly--and they combined the charges into one. Then, when the a/c repair did not stick, JJ & a team member came back and stayed until it was resolved--even turning around after it shut off again. I was and am so grateful to them and recommend them every chance I get!Update 1/2424: I was having some issues with a clogged line and my thermostats and entry one from Anna in the office to JJ himself to Darrin who came to help me were wonderful. Everyone at CoolKids has been so amazing. Highly recommend!Original review: You are really at the mercy of people to be respectable and honest when it comes to a broken a/c in Texas. In late August. CoolKids and JJ came highly recommended from a group of professional colleagues I really trust. He and the crews did not disappoint. JJ himself came by within a half-hour of my call because he was nearby--and the crews got to work the next day. Its a blur but they even started a day early. It wasnt cheap but a/c unfortunately isnt. I felt confident I was getting an honest and fair deal from them. Their affiliated contractors who helped demo and repair a wall and ceiling for duct work were incredible. Cool Kids was recommended by my neighbors. They came out for an estimate on what I thought was a return vent issue, but there didnt end up being one. Instead, they went above and beyond to find there was a clogged pipe where water was building up from my AC unit (lots of lint, calcification, etc.). They cleared it out, no charge. Would recommend them and will be calling them back when we need an actual repair.

Okay so I called out another company for a free diagnostic- just to see if there was an actual problem. That call turned into a $1000 attempted charge saying I needed my system to be rewired and X, Y, Z. They left the system worse than when I called them- kid you not. That was certainly not something I could or wanted to do, so I said no. Then I called out Cool guys (at like 3:30 on a Friday). And they actually came out within the hour. Seriously, the best AND charged 1/10 the price. Seriously. For a simple issue (that I suspect was just caused from the first company).If you don’t know who to call, you’re concerned about getting overcharged (bc they def won’t), or if you want a second opinion, please please call cool guys. Ricky has been my plumber for years so of course I followed when he moved to Cool Kids. He replaced my water heater after the great freeze and when my copper pipe broke today, he came by to fix it a few hours later. During the great freeze, I busted copper pipe - Ricky facetimed since it was too dangerous to drive to walk us through how to shut off just the hot water, leaving us with at least cold water. I am very glad he kept his cell phone number - he remains the top recommended plumber in our neighborhood Facebook group for a reason.

I’ve been in the construction industry for past 20 years and will tell you the employees of Kool Kids are the most professional, trustworthy and polite people I’ve ever dealt with, unbelievable service. My A/C fan goes out at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend, if not repaired I’m looking at 3 days of 103 degree temperatures. Not only did they showed up within an hour, diagnosed the problem, charged unit with Freon, but also called ahead for fan replacement delivered by the owner of the company. I cant say enough about Cool Kids! I had a new Bryant system installed in 2021 by another company who sold me a zoned system that they never should have sold me, never installed it correctly, and then never fixed the problems. I tried working with them 1.5 yrs and finally gave up. JJ and Darin walked into this mess and just kept troubleshooting and trying different things, rewired much of the system, and involved the Bryant tech support to help figure out what was causing the issues. They wouldnt even charge me until they fixed the problem! Im a customer for life (or as long as we live in this area)! These guys absolutely were the most professional, and knew their stuff - plus they care about their customers and doing the best job they can do. In todays world..thats a hard thing to find. I called Cool Kids for a second opinion on my leaky HVAC system after two very disappointing visits by Abacus where they didn’t spend more than 10 minutes to mis-diagnose the problem and quote me thousands of dollars to “fix” it. They could’ve easily quoted hundreds and a very in-depth fix, but they were able to come up with a straightforward fix very quickly. Cool Kids was fantastic to work with today. He came out same day and was super easy to schedule all via text. Originally scheduled to be here at 4pm and texted ahead of time and asked if he could come 30 minutes early so that was a great start! Our downstairs AC stopped blowing cold and once he took some readings of the coolant and saw the construction work he knew exactly what happened. It turns out that our contractors replacing siding to our house accidentally put a nail through our copper refrigerant line going up in the wall to the attic. He was super easy to work with and explained everything. He stayed out and worked with the contractor get into the right spot and found & fixed the hole, and refilled the unit. He also went super above and beyond to fix/improve our other hvac for upstairs while he was here too and was super easy to work with and even did the invoice for the work in two parts since the contractors are covering the accident piece. Definitely save this guy’s info for any hvac work you need done 👌
