I used this company to install a new unit around 2 years ago. This review covers the past 2 years since then:Sales Rep:Dude told me I was signing up for a loan, lo and behold a credit card showed up in the mail about a month after work was complete. Maybe a misunderstanding on my part, but be aware of what you’re signing as I did not think I was getting a credit card at any point during the early paperwork.Original install:Pros: Installers were professional and MOSTLY installed quickly and neatly. Install Pricing wasn’t too bad, pretty standard for original price maybe slightly above average.Cons: They did not protect the low voltage communication wire with conduit, which has caused me to lead into my next subject;Service:Pros: The first tech that came out repaired the wire after it was damaged fixed the issue with conduit promptly and I figured that was that. I was wrong.Cons: I had to call out a different tech three more times for the same issue after it came up again,- The first time he did nothing as the issue had resolved itself by the time he got here and charged me a trip fee. We showed him the message on the screen saying “communication error” which I feel should at least warrant an inspection of the wiring in the system, but I digress.- The second time the issue persisted until he came out. It took him almost 4.5 hrs to diagnose/temporarily fix this issue. Due to the location of our ac unit he could not figure out how to rerun new low voltage wire through the pipes, and was unable to put new pvc in to correct this issue. His two offered solutions? Leave the wire hanging where it could be tripped on nonstop on the pathway.the last tech I dealt with was in my house until 9pm or later after an appointment time of 4-6pm (arriving around 4-430 each time) on a task that should have been quick to resolve.The pricing is higher than some others. But if you’re not satisfied with the work they will correct it to your liking after talking about it.EDIT: The owner and I had a candid conversation about the situation I dealt with, and he has made it right. You can trust this company to do the right thing when mistakes arise.

We were having heating problems. So googled Pearland Heating and Air. Clear the Air came up first with a 4.9 rating and I am glad they came out.Jacob Fletcher was the technician they sent. He as outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Jacob Explained everything in detail with no BS. Jacob didn’t try to hard sell into anything. We even set up a maintenance plan where they will come three times a year.We did have to get a new furnace to replace the 18 year old one but couldn’t be helped. Now as far as installing I figured it would be a few days if not a week, no sir/mam, they will be here tomorrow to install.If you need AC or heating work call Clear the Air and by all means go with them. You will be glad you did.Update to installation of new furnace. Willie Flores and his crew were here bright and early. Friendly, courteous and professional. Took the utmost care with making sure no damage was done when carrying in the parts or any equipment. Spread heavy duty cloth on floor and did everything professionally. Well what I thought would be a long day was actually only a couple of hours and we have heat again. Thanks Clear the Air Jacob and Willie. Wow what a company, what a crew of people. Choose this company. Stick with this company. I had a really bad experience with another company that installed a brand new system last year. From day one the air conditioner never maintained temperature in the house. The temperature would rise in the afternoon and take hours to cool. After numerous complaints and service calls, I decided out of desperation to call Clear the Air. Jacob Fletcher responded to the call. He immediately identified the problem, an undersized unit, and proposed solutions to them. In the end I ended up getting a new unit. The installation, supervised by Raul Gonzales, went perfectly. He and his crew completed everything in one day. I couldnt be happier. The new system maintains temperature even in the hottest times of the day, and the house stays cool. Consistently great service with Clear the Air! Both Robert who came out last time and Jacob who came out today were great. They are always prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. You dont feel like theyre trying to sell you things you dont need and they patiently answer all questions. Most importantly theyre not cringey! Theyre very clean and respectful of your house and make you feel safe to have them in your home. They even send a picture of the technician the day of so you know who will be ringing your door. My favorite part about the membership is that theres no chance of losing money unlike an insurance plan. Lots of perks other perks but it includes 2 cleaning visits a year where theyll also look at any issues which by itself pays for the plan.

He did a thorough job and also inspected and cleaned my pre-filter that had recently shown the red warning light on the attic clean affects unit. In addition I noticed the return air fiber duct board downstairs had a torn section so Robert decided to remove the loose fiber section to prevent possible damage to the AC blower.Robert was very professional and performed exceptional work. I was particularly impressed with his work ethics. We would highly recommend him and Clear the Air Cooling & Heating again.

Trey installed my outside condenser a week or so later.A few weeks later Robby came out because the new unit was freezing up. Come to find out there was another leak but this time in the inside coils. Again, I was met with a tech that took time and showed me the copper corrosion and where the leak was. Trey was the one that came out and installed the inside coils as well.2021: Clear the air did an electric to gas furnace conversion. Robby bid the job during a yearly maintain call and Pinc installed. No issues. Service manager had the coil cabinet built just for my job. Very professional!2023: Robert B came out because my outside unit was not turning off. He opened the service panel annd found the contacts were stuck. He ran a few test to see if the part was faulty and every time he tested it it would stay closed. Because Robby H advised me to purchase the parts and labor warranty with my outside condenser purchase I was able to get my unit repaired for $45 4.5 years later. Robert was personable and knew his stuff. Heard Robby H is now the service manager. Well deserved.2024: Jacob F came out for a yearly furnace inspection. He was a kind young man and loved my AC home automation. lol. Everything checked out fine and he was in and out in 20 mins or so. I’d also like to shout out the techs Thomas, Robert and Robby for being super cool and answering all my questions and texts while they were on site. Thomas was my initial contact for quotes and he didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and clearly explained everything that would follow. Robert was there after the install to thoroughly check that everything was installed correctly and made any needed corrections. I followed him around while he made his checks and asked many question and he was happy to share the knowledge. I’m very happy with the service Clear the Air provided.

It would not be cost effective for us to repair the system. Therefore, we decided to replace the entire system which the system were installing comes with a 10-year warranty on parts. The man was extremely professional and very courteous. He helped us process even the financing for the system. We have used them for years and we will continue using them.

Jeff the manager said it was out of their control. Since when is a courtesy call out of their control. Why is it that every industry, other than repair people, are judged on customer service. Do they not realize that you are taking off of work, losing money, yet no compensation. I would not recommend this company. Would give then zero stars if possible. AND, Jeff is the worst manager possible.All of that aside, Robert Britt, the technician that was sent out was very nice. After calling his manager to get the quote for the work needing to be done, they ended up giving me a discount because of the lack of communication. Im very thankful.

Even though he didnt immediately have the valve needed for the repair on hand, he gave me confidence that the issue would be resolved very soon. I also found the estimate for the repair was very fair. Id recommend the company to anyone who still has an R-22 system in need of repairs like me.Communication with the main office was a bit rough at first but Im sure they are just swamped with requests given the time of the year and the temperatures around.Update: the valve was replaced by Raul and his crew. They tested to make sure the weld was good and was not leaking, then refilled the system, which seems to be working much better now.
