We needed a relatively expensive repair ~$1000 one of our unit heating and AC units, but after going through all the options we opted for replacing the heater and air conditioner. Tom was great and did not push us for the replacement or sell us unneeded extras as weve sadly experienced with other area providers, prompting our change. Well be sticking with Calvins Climate.

I have used Calvin Climate for years now, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. The technicians are always professional and knowledgeable, and the staff answering the phones are personable and well-informed. Calvin Climate has resolved numerous heating and cooling issues for me, including a tricky routing problem with my air system.During my most recent call, one of my units had frozen and was not working. The technician initially underquoted the work, but when I called to ask questions, I spoke with the owner. He acknowledged the mistake and assured me they would honor the original quote. That is integrity! To say I am impressed is an understatement. I will not go anywhere else.On this same call, after fixing the initial issue, the unit’s fan would blow, but the condenser wouldn’t turn on. The technicians troubleshot the problem and discovered that the backboard on my Nest thermostat was faulty. They advised me to contact Nest for a replacement. The techs were so awesome!All my experiences with Calvin Climate have been amazing. I would recommend them every time!

Chris was our technician and was a very nice and professional young man. We called Calvin’s climate when we felt that we needed a second opinion. The first company was not transparent and trying to upsell us. When Chris came out, he told and showed us what the issue was, which was just a part of the full replacement the first company tried to sell us on.Originally, the replacement part was going to take about a week to be delivered and offered a complimentary mobile ac unit for the meantime. Chris was able to make a few calls and ended up being able to replace the unit quicker than expected. He was back out the next day and was able to fix everything asap!Highly recommend and trusted service!

Very pleased with Isaac and our experience with Calvin’s. They were super quick to get to my house, when of course my AC goes out in June. They worked with my schedule on timing, Isaac showed up on time and was very professional, knew what the problem was before he even got out of his truck, I think, and fixed it within minutes. He even checked my other units to be thorough and changed the filters for me so I didn’t have to climb in attic. Cost was reasonable and I will 100% call them for my next service.

Customer service was excellent. It was a well ran transaction and service was completed easily, even while out of state. Also their technology and automation made the transactions seamless with payment requests and appointment reminders sent via email and text. After a horrendous experience with trying to get our home warranty service to respond quickly to our AC emergency, we dismissed them and called Calvin. I am SO glad we did. Chris came to the house immediately and was able to get our old system working, at least temporarily, and we can put todays charge toward a new system if we decide to go that route. Chris is very knowledgeable and pointed out problems with the diagnosis presented by the warranty responder (who wouldnt even perform the temporary fix, even as temps soar to the high 90s this weekend). During my semi-annual checkup, Michael (from Calvins) identified that my core was dirty and needed to be cleaned. So, a follow-up appointment was promptly scheduled for the next week. The next week he cleaned the core. Although some additional labor was involved, he did NOT charge me for the additional labor.In addition, the semi-annual check-ups identify potential problems that will extend the life of my equipment. I know from previous experience, that I (as well as others) do not perform regular maintenance, and typically wait until the equipment has stopped working.Calvins has always been very professional, excellent customer service and reasonable prices.

I contacted Calvins for a 2nd opinion as my original HVAC repair person indicated my Coil needed to be replaced on a 5 year old unit, at a cost of $4,000. Calvins diagnostic did not find a Coil problem, but a different minor leak, which saved me significant dollars. Calvins could have simply confirmed the first diagnostic and charged a bit lower price, but they did not... Very communicative and responsible, provided pictures of everything - I would recommend them to anyone.

10/16/23Calvin’s Climate kept their word and came out a couple weeks ago for our first 6 months check up! They did an inspection of our entire system AND changed out our filters! The tech made sure any questions or concerns I had were answered and that I felt confident that my system was working properly! I am so glad we chose a company that is so reliable and dependable! If I EVER need anything the ladies in the office are always there to answer any of my questions! They are so kind and patient!We needed an entire new AC and heating system both inside and out. We were very nervous, HUGE investment in our home and huge cost! We had several companies out to give quotes and I reviewed each with Better Business Bureau! We were SO IMPRESSED with Calvin and his entire team! They fixed problems they found as they were going along on the spot, very professional and friendly! When my air-conditioning was inspected in the spring 2023 two companies told me the coils were leaking. One company told me I need Compleat replacement at included pipes and duck-work, at a cost of $17,500. Calvins advised me, as long as I was comfortable in my house, he would put some more coolant in the system, and I could have time to go through the summer and see how the system reacted. Well, I went through the summer but decided, at my leisure, to have a new unit installed by Calvins rather than keep adding coolant which has gotten very costly. Calvins evaluation of what I needed was reasonable and honest. Calvins men did the job in one morning. The new unit has been inspected and approved by the town and tested on a warm day by Calvin. I am very happy with Calvins work. Their installers and office personnel are topnotch professionals. All carpeting leading to upstairs attic was covered. Debris was vacuumed up. Customer service was exceptional. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone of Calvins staff.

Calvin himself was on top of everything, explained everything clearly to us, and addressed our concerns. Calvin listened to what we had to say about our current system and the problems it had, offered different choices to us and explained why he would choose which system, and recommended one that he believed would suit our needs. Bought my variable speed AC system about 6 years ago when we renovated our home and I have never felt that it cooled the way it should. I’ve had a couple different vendors out to look at it and they’ve all said it is just an old house and it is the way it is.TODAY, however, I had Calvin’s come out to inspect it because it has taken 4 hours to cool from 75-72 degrees every night of this heatwave. Technician Chris Hill found that 2 ducts weren’t even hooked up to their respective vents. Was Mr. Hill an Angel from the heavens, sent to help my family properly cool down during this hell of a heatwave? I’m going to say YES!You might be asking yourself, “how could Mr. Hill be an Angel if he was there in the flesh”? Listen, I’m no theologian or ghost talker. All I know is, a man employed by Calvin’s Climate walked into my front door and delivered a miracle to my house. Did he remove his wings in the van before he entered my front door? Again, I DON’T KNOW! What I do know is this…something special went down in my attic today. Something that is only written about in ancient novels of folklore.So if you want to experience something special with your AC unit, call Calvin’s Climate. Maybe you can have all your dreams come true like mine did today.

We woke up the morning of the coldest day of the 21-22 winter with no heat on our downstairs. Within 90 minutes of my phone call to Calvins the technician was there despite the roads being icy. Sure enough, 3 hours later he was on his way back after having driven on the icy roads down to Carrollton to get the part. A couple hours after that the house was warming up. I honestly dont know if the price we paid would be considered expensive or inexpensive, but I can tell you the level professionalism and the commitment to the customer when one considers the circumstances were absolutely top-notch. I have a good friend in the business who lives on the other side of the metroplex who I use pretty much exclusively. Called late this morning for a heater problem. They were able to get to my residence in less than three hours which was fantastic.The technician Joe was professional and very courteous.He identified a blown fuse issue but when on to identify that the problem was being caused by a chafed wire. He replaced the wire metered the circuit, replaced the fuse and we had heat.He didnt mind us talking to him and hovering over him like Im sure most folks do.He was easy to talk to and did a great job explaining the company to us and their service offerings which look great and I need to sign up for.Will definitely be using them in the future for any other service. Calvin saved me $2,100. I spent $400 with a competitor who came back a second time to quote me an additional $2,700 to really fix my issue. Called Calvin to get a second opinion... he installed a unit for me once before. He told me to save the $2,700 and simply replace my controller with one from Lowes or Home Depot. A couple hours later and only spending $44, my house is cold as can be. It was a bad Nest controller. Calvin repaired a crimped line that was believed to be the original issue. It needed it. Calvin is a thinker and wonderful to work with.

I had several companies provide estimates to replace my old 4 ton downstairs unit. The two lowest bids was not realistic and the other ones where sky high. It was obvious that the high bids were given just to see if I would bite. After all the summer was here. I listened to what Calvin had to say and I felt he provided me with a fair estimate for the job. We looked at systems ranging from basic to top of the line. The fact that he was local and will continue to look after this unit for years to come was a big plus. The install went flawless and we couldnt be happier with our new unit. I highly recommend CalvIns!I called them for a 2nd opinion after receiving a recommendation from another company that due to a freon leak in our 13-year old unit that uses R-22 freon (which is no longer legal to be produced in or imported into the United States), that it would be better to replace our system ($12K - $14K estimate). This recommendation was based on the cost of the R-22 freon ($488/lb) and the amount that it would take to recharge the system (10 lb).Spencer from Calvins quickly identified and repaired the leak and recharged the system. The R-22 freon cost was only $225/lb, (not $488 as quoted by the other company), and much less than 10 lbs were required. The total cost of the repair (including reattaching an air duct knocked loose by the previous company) was less than $600. I highly recommend Calvins and will call them again when in need of HVAC service/repair.

We recently bought a house and unfortunately our HVAC unit on the first floor stopped working. Turns out it was 23 years old. Knowing that an HVAC unit is a large expense, we met with 5 different companies all recommended through Next Door. After giving it a lot of thought, we made the decision to go with Calvin’s Climate and an American Standard unit.Calvin spent more than an hour with us understanding our needs, surveying our home and walking us through all the options. He did not try to push us to make the most expensive decision. Instead he helped us make the right decision while keeping our long term needs in mind. Lastly he helped us weigh out pros and cons of each option. On the day of the install, his team was prompt, mindful that both my spouse and I worked from home and are on calls all day, cleaned up after themselves and kept us updated of the progress. Calvin and his lead person checked in on us periodically through the day. The installation itself was completed in less than a day (6AM - 3PM). THe install included a 5 ton HVAC unit, Furnace, 2 returns, new thermostat and all the other parts that was needed especially since this was not replaced in 23 years.There are so many HVAC companies out there and this is an expensive but much needed asset to anyone’s home. This was not an easy decision and we are glad we decided to go with Calvin’s climate and highly recommend them.

Noticed that the AC in our Master BR was out at 9:00 PM - It is an older unit and we were fearful that it might need a $7K to $10K replacement. I emailed Calvins to try to get on the schedule for the next day. They emailed me back at 9:30 PM that same night to ask if an 8AM to 12 appointment for the following day would be okay. The next morning, they texted me to let me know that Mike Soto would be here shortly. He showed up, corrected the problem with a new part and it was up and running again. LOVE these guys!!!!
