The VillageImagine yourself on the cobblestone streets of a quaint European village. Adriatica Village in McKinney, Texas is just that place. Modeled after a fishing village in Croatia, it is like stepping into another world full of beautiful views everywhere you look. From the architecture of the buildings, and landmark Bell Tower, to the secluded island chapel and unique shops and flats, Adriatica Village embodies the quaint European vibe. The charming village atmosphere, serene residential settings, and small-business retail districts all come together to form a balanced way of life and enhanced-living experience. -
Review 35 (2024-09-10 - Rating: 5)
Adriatica Village is the best piece of Croatia west of the Atlantic Ocean!Croatia and Italy are the most sought after vacation spots on the Adriatic Sea. And both of them are the culturally and historically riches places on planet Earth. But Adriatica offers their visitors much of the original architecture of the XVI century of a Croatian Village.Historically Croatia played an important part in the evolution of Civilization, as many thousands of years ago, humanity moved from Mesopotamia to Eurasia, through the Croatian region. Therefore Croatia has been richly influenced by the Greek Byzantium and the Roman Empire. That shaped its culture, art, architecture, and urbanization, seen in many places in Adriatica Village. The village is beautifully designed, offering splendors of Art, relaxation by the lake, refreshments in its restaurants, and an experience of another world like nowhere else in a thousand miles radius. -

Its a good attempt to match Supetar on Brać. To make it real authentic have open cafes with umbrellas so people can congregate outside, I.e. a true Mediterranean cafe experience. Im guessing planning regulations prevent that. -

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Adriatica Village, a unique and captivating destination that truly transported me to the enchanting beauty of the Mediterranean. Nestled in the heart of McKinney, Texas, this charming village is a testament to the vision and craftsmanship that went into its creation.Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the authenticity and attention to detail that permeates every corner of Adriatica Village. The architecture is reminiscent of a coastal Croatian town, with its cobblestone streets, vibrant facades, and picturesque waterfront. The buildings, adorned with intricate stonework and adorned with wrought-iron balconies, create a sense of old-world charm that is both elegant and inviting. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the villages central plaza, Piazza Italia. It exudes a lively atmosphere, with its outdoor cafes, artisan shops, and bustling community events. It was a delight to wander through the narrow alleyways, discovering hidden gems such as boutique stores, art galleries, and delightful restaurants serving delectable Mediterranean cuisine.Adriatica Village also boasts a stunning waterfront, overlooking a serene lake. The promenade offers a serene and peaceful escape, allowing visitors to take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the scenic beauty of the surroundings. I found myself captivated by the tranquility of the setting, as well as the breathtaking views of the sunset over the water. The village is meticulously maintained, and it is evident that great care has been taken to preserve its authenticity and charm. The landscaping is immaculate, with lush gardens, fountains, and quaint seating areas that invite visitors to relax and soak in the ambiance. It truly felt like a step back in time, where the pace of life slows down, and one can appreciate the simple pleasures of life.Adriatica Village also offers a range of activities and events throughout the year. From live music performances to cultural festivals and holiday celebrations, there is always something happening to engage and entertain visitors of all ages. The sense of community is palpable, and it adds an extra layer of warmth and vitality to the overall experience. One minor drawback I noticed during my visit was the limited parking availability. As Adriatica Village continues to grow in popularity, finding a parking spot can be a challenge, especially during peak times. However, this is a minor inconvenience that can be mitigated by arriving early or utilizing nearby parking options. In conclusion, Adriatica Village is a hidden gem in McKinney, Texas, offering a unique and captivating experience that transports visitors to the Mediterranean. With its authentic architecture, vibrant community, and serene waterfront, it is a place that invites you to slow down, savor lifes simple pleasures, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. Whether youre looking for a romantic getaway, a family outing, or simply a peaceful escape, Adriatica Village is an enchanting destination that wont disappoint. -

Beautiful place to visit! -
Review 134 (2022-11-01 - Rating: 5)
This is not a shopping center but a European/northeast style residential village. So not too many shops and just a beautiful village perfect for peaceful walks and picnics. There is a coffee shop, pizzeria, Indian restaurant, Sushi/Asian cuisine, Wine Bistro, water front Italian restaurant and an American restaurant with a cool patio as well as a breakfast/lunch spot cafe and a small boutique, guitar shop, flower shop and few beauty specialist stores but that’s it. Lots and lots of places to take pictures. Don’t miss the areas near Cavalli Pizzeria, as well as the chapel, fountain and the bell tower at the main plaza for pictures. -

Such a treat getting to have this in the middle of the suburbs. Great place to visit with a charming atmosphere and nice amenities. Lots of places to take photos. Makes you feel like you are walking through a little Croatian village. Really wish there were a few more food options. Im sure there will be more soon! -

We came here for a photo shoot for my wife’s maternity photos and, well, wow. It’s beautiful there. My wife is from Bosnia and she said that the architecture of the area looks exactly like a village in Croatia and she loved it just as much, if not more, than I did. The only thing I wish is that it had some traditional coffee shops there instead of just Starbucks (nothing wrong with Starbucks, but this area calls for some Turkish style coffee!) -

Beautiful area, beautiful buildings, Mediterranean atmosphere. There are many fun restaurants, including a Starbucks, pizza place, wine bar, etc. Many people take professional photos on the pond/lake. There is a large lawn area around the pond and have even seen bridal and engagement photos being taken there. -

Clean, open and a nice place to go meander and walk off dinner. Walking around, it feels like a quaint resort in a vacation town. Hard to explain, but makes it feel removed from the Metroplex. -

Not a place if you’re in the mood for tons of shopping but amazing place to walk around, picnic, take pictures, fishing, and there are a handful of decent restaurants including the best pizza in Collin County. There’s a Starbucks, flower shop, 4 other restaurants and one boutique. No idea why there’s not an ice cream shop there as it would do huge. Across the street there are plenty option to get food and drink for a picnic by the water or the beautiful fountain and unique bell tower. -

I really like this places look..What I do not like is the Guy, whos property manager of the apartments on site who lives on the top corner apartment. (If that helps signify him)He is a male Karen. He disrupted me taking photos and targeted my group of friends meddling and being obnoxious as well as making me & my African American friends feel uncomfortable. So if youre black (not middle eastern or other brown skinned humans because he didnt target them) expect to be harassed if youre here longer than 16mins. But for the 1st 12 mins you can enjoy a beautiful place. -

I love Adriatica. Quaint Mediterranean-style villas and apartments. Nice restaurants that we like to frequent. We dont live there, but it would seem to be an excellent place to retire as its within walking distance of restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, and has senior living on-site. -
