    I would highly recommend Texas House Check. From the initial contact with this company through completion of my inspection, these guys were ON it! The communication was top tier. I didn’t have to wait hours or days for a response because someone immediately responded to any question I may have had, whether it was text, call, or email. Scheduling was easy.On the day of inspection, they were on time and very thorough. They allowed me to ask questions about anything and didn’t make me feel like a nuisance. They were very personable, and what also impressed me was that they came into my new construction home with shoe covers that they took off each time they left out, and placed them on again when they came back. Most people may not notice those type of things, but I do because it shows they cared about my property. I’ve observed too many contractors that don’t and they track mud and particles inside with no regard.So thank you, Anthony, Robert, and Greg! My report came quickly, was easy to understand, and your inspection made me feel more confident about my investment. I will definitely use you all again!

    I had an inspection done a few months back, Robert and his team were amazing. Very professional and made sure everything was very clearly explained as I am a new home owner! For any issues he found he recommended great vendors who I was also impressed with.Flash forward a few months later and I was looking for help regarding an issue with my AC. Robert went above and beyond and recommended another great vendor to help(again this is months after our inspection I’m actually shocked that a company in today’s world would be nice enough to take this time.) The customer service is truly beyond compare! I highly recommend using them if you want peace of mind!

    From the first phone call until we departed from the inspection Robert and his sons were phenomenal. They are extremely thorough, with their imaging and knowledge. We are first time home buyers and they gave us the security to know we are making a good decision. They have technology that gives you piece of mind and they will explain everything to you, not only when they review your house, but while they are walking it as well. Plus they are very pleasant and easy going. I will definitely recommend them to anyone buying a house!

    Very recommended if you need your house inspected. I’m a first home owner and Texas house check helped me all the way with all the questions I needed. Greg was very helpful and lead us in the right direction. He inspected our house before we signed the lease and was very professional In what he was doing. He made sure we were living in a safe house and got all the problems taken care of. Greg and his father came to our house to make sure on the last day of our signing that they made sure everything was up to date and up to code. We had a problem with our builder fixing the problems but Greg and his father made sure that they fixed it. This company was very helpful and made our first home very safe to live in. They also do pest control in and out all around the house. 5 star company always on time. Highly recommend Texas house check

    I’m a realtor and have worked with Texas House Check for 4 or 5 years now because they do such a good job. Very thorough, and they explain to my clients what is common and what is something to really be concerned about. I’ve received both great news and terrible news from them but it’s always delivered in a calm way that is factual and buyers can make the best decision. I also appreciate that they can provide additional services if needed, such as a mold sample test or they have a partner who does pest inspection and treatments. The Hugheses are an experienced family team with a background in construction, and they will take the time to answer questions during the inspection or provide explanations later after you review the report.

    I used Texas House Check when we purchased our new house and I couldnt have been happier. Robert took his time to go through my house inside and out, making sure to go over everything with me. I loved his use of the thermal imaging since it could show if we were missing areas of insulation or water leaks. He was by far the cheapest Home inspector but has the best equipment. He was readily available on such short notice for us. I recommend using his for your next home purchase.Also on a side note I love that his son work along side him, nothing beats a family business.

    Texas House Check came recommend to me by my home inspector, and I now recommend them to others. It is important to test for mold in such a humid climate as Houston. Anthony was extremely responsive and professional and he communicated with me through the whole process. I had several areas of the home tested at his recommendation and promptly received my results by the time he estimated we would have them. I am glad I used Texas House Check and would do it again!

    Robert is a very thorough and I am very confident to can say he is best home inspector in Houston area. Truly, he inspects each house as if it is his own. Robert is a very skilled, kind and professional home inspector with all the equipment needed to perform the inspection. He gave me good advice not only to correct a few problems but also to prevent a few others. His reports are easy to understand and very clear. He also provides termite inspections! One stop shopping!     I had a great experience with Texas House Check. I spoke with Robert on the phone who was helpful in describing their services. I needed an inspection on an older home known to have galvanized piping as well as some foundation work. I was looking for FLIR technology and Robert informed me that this comes standard on all of their inspections which was a huge plus for me. I scheduled the inspection online which was hassle free. When I showed up for the inspection, I met Andrew and Greg who informed me that Robert was on the way and would be looking at the foundation and electrical. With 3 inspectors the whole process only took about 2hrs. I was able to ask questions during the inspection and all three inspectors were very helpful in explaining what they saw (or didnt see). They generated an exhaustive list of deficiencies they found with helpful photos and descriptions of each in their report. They were unable to provide cost estimates for repairs but referred me to someone who could. Overall I was extremely pleased with the experience and would highly recommend these guys. Whats even better, theyre a family business with very reasonable rates!!

His reports are very detailed with specific recommendations to present problems. Robert makes every effort to make it on short notice, turns in reports the same day and is always available to answer questions. Great customer service.

    Robert and team are fabulous! They are very thorough and detailed! We actually had to use them twice in less than a month because they found MAJOR issues on the first home we were going to purchase so they saved us a ton of money and headaches. Of course we had to use them the second go-around and they were just as thorough and even explained and showed us the small findings they did find. I would not hesitate to recommend them! They are quick to get you on the schedule and they send you the report by the same night of the inspection. A very good experience for what can be a very stressful time!

    Texas House Check did a very complete inspection of the home I was purchasing. They did everything I expected. Their report was complete and very detailed. I will use sections of the report to obtain estimates from companies to do some of the repairs. I was impressed with their use of technology, especially the thermal imaging to show caps in the insulation in the walls and ceilings.I would use Texas House check again when I have a need for home inspection.

    If you need a team that has so much knowledge and gets the job done GREAT! Start and Stop here. I had a new construction home, so blessed to have found some HONEST workers/company. They inspected every inch of my home missing nothing, fast direct, very detail report and to the point! Unless youre a builder get your property inspected! A few Hundred vs a few Thousand, you choose. On top of that Mr. Robert has a pest control team also. Two birds with one stone!!!!!

    I highly recommend Robert Hughes to all of my clients. Not only is he knowledgeable and thorough, but he takes the time to explain in detail his findings, their significance, and then offers recommendations and solutions. He does not simply fill out a 60+ page form report that intimidates and alarms my clients. His reports are detailed, yet succinct, and they serve well as the documentation I need as a REALTOR to negotiate repairs for my buyers.I also want to mention that recently, after an inspection, as Robert was leaving the home, he noticed a stranger approaching my car, so he stopped his car and called me to make sure that I was not in danger. As it turned out, it was the husband of the listing agent. But, the fact that Robert cared enough to make sure I was okay – priceless.

    I’m giving a 5 star rating, and I haven’t received the report yet.These guys are a family business, and they seem to know their stuff. Easy to work with, explained everything throughly before, during, and after. Pricing was competitive. We will have a same day report.Our builder with Trendmaker has worked with them before, and he said they do a good job. They definitely found things I wouldn’t have, and they were familiar with issues specific to my builder.I appreciated their use of technology. They used a thermal imaging camera to detect any hot wires, missed insulation, and check HVAC. Although not 100% necessary, they used a drone to check the roof. The photos were good quality and showed issues just as well as walking on the roof and taking pics. And the price was the same.Definitely recommend. I’ll update after the report.UPDATE: After reading the 2 emotional and possibly exaggerated 1 star reviews, I just wanted to confirm that I am a legit reviewer (Google Local Guide) and there was never a request from Texas House Check for me to complete any type of review. Based on the accusations the 1 star reviewers made, I will provide a detailed update once my report is complete later today.UPDATE: I got the report. Looks solid. They caught several items I would have overlooked in the interior and exterior. This is for a new build home, so it’s not quite as complicated as some when it comes to checking for existing mold, but they found several items that need to be fixed to prevent future mold. Good work and speedy report. I stick by the 5 star rating for my experience.

    I found that they did an excellent job on our inspection. This is by far our largest house, with the most mechanical equipment weve ever owned. A key for me was the use of high tech inspection tools, such as a drone.One finding resulted in a new furnace from the seller. In fact, they also found a few structural items that we are attempting to work with the original builder, under their warranty, to fix. Weve so far found nothing that theyve missed or didnt make note. THC was a reference from a co-worker that had just had an inspection on a brand new house and were obviously satisfied too. Another big plus is that they came out a 2nd time to meet with me to go over the report. Both Anthony and Robert spent a combined 2 hrs of additional time and gave me many good pointers. Thanks THC!

    WOW! - What a Great Inspection by Robert and his team. As a Realtor of JOPOREALTY, I have worked with many inspectors in the city and Texas House Check totally exceeded my expectations. Scheduling was easy and excellent communication and a fast reply to all my emails. Texas House Check Arrived minutes early on the Appointment. They are very tech-savy using a Drone and Thermal Moisture gun to detect wet & moist areas behind the walls.Inspection was a success and was a significant factor in the negotiation during OP. The best Part his report was sent the next day as he had promised. The fastest time I have ever received an Inspection Report. They also do Termite Inspection. What a Combo Team! I will DEFINITELY Use Robert with Texas House Check AGAIN and AGAIN.I Forgot to Add the HVAC could not be inspected because of the cold weather. Robert was Very Kind enough to Re-Visit the Property to Re-Inspect the HVAC. Now That is Just Awesome Service.

    Go above and beyond. We had a contractor come with us towards the end of the inspection. Robert was patient and kind enough to stick around and answer any questions that came up through walking the property. This was a 1928 home near downtown with plenty of items to place on the report. They were organized in how to present all these items without blowing things out of proportion but give you enough information to make the decision on your own. Highly recommend.
